Said it before and will say it again; one of the only things Jr. has in common with Sr. is the name. That's not a dig at Jr., been saying this since his eval pre-draft. They aren't built the same, they both found success in different ways utilizing different skill sets. The comp has never made sense, whether it was being made by MHJs supporters OR detractors.
And to this point in his career, he's underwhelmed for where he was drafted. Maybe it will turn around, but most of the red flags identified with him coming out of college are the same things he's still struggling with; and none of that has to do with his QB or how the offense has deployed him. Obviously the latter two things haven't helped him either, if that really needs to be said. But IMO we've seen better from the two WRs drafted alongside (often times after) him in the majority of dynasty leagues Odunze and Nabers. I doubt many (if any) of the owners of either of those two would be willing to swap for MHJ right now. He's about a full round later than Odunze in start up value right now, and about three rounds later than Nabers. If that isn't a disappointment so far, I don't know what is.
Obviously no on is cutting him, and now that Murray is out of the picture it should open the door to get a QB who better matches with his skillset. Brissett is already an improvement, despite being a lesser physical talent. At least he can see over the line, will throw to between the numbers and to the intermediate part of the field. This is where MHJ ate in college and his skills dictate where he should be working most.
