So much for this. I didn’t realize MFL locked all free agents at 1. I can’t even go pick anybody up. So stupid.Terrible. I guess im going to have to go and grab Xavier Hutchinson. It’s either him or Raymond.
I’ve got Mostert too but mcdaniels made some comments about fumbles this week that makes me think they may limit his touches.Did that in 1 league and Demarcus Robinson in another and Mostert in a 3rdSwapping Bobby trees in. Let’s go Robert!!!

Nico Collins (hamstring) was listed as limited in Thursday’s practice.
Collins is trending in the direction of playing in Monday night’s game against the Cowboys, but we’ll see how things go during the next two practices. NBC Houston’s Aaron Wilson has claimed Collins is “100 percent ready to go,” so it’s possible this limited practice is the team ramping him up to ensure he’s ready for Week 11. Collins was leading the league in receiving yards before suffering his injury, and won’t have Stefon Diggs (knee) in the mix to vulture targets from him when he does return. Collins will be a solid WR1 in Week 11 if he does return to the field.
We lock players whose game has started. That way changes can still be made on Monday. So much for this. I didn’t realize MFL locked all free agents at 1. I can’t even go pick anybody up. So stupid.Terrible. I guess im going to have to go and grab Xavier Hutchinson. It’s either him or Raymond.
That's in your league settings set by the Commish.
We let add/drops and line-up changes slide through to the MNF finale.
That’s how most leagues and all my other leagues are. Which is why I thought when he was ruled out I could just move him to IR real quick and pick someone up from Houston. We lock players whose game has started. After all this time I expected a full practice. I have a team that is sitting at #6 overall in the NFFC cutline (the contest I won last year) and I have 5 stud WR's and I have to decide tonight which one to sit because McLaurin is that 5th WR which seems insane to sit him considering his last 8 games have all been 14+ pts.I don’t get the UGGG. I have Ja'Marr, Puka, Kupp, Nico and McLaurin so it basically comes down to playing it safe with McLaurin or risking Nico news going South before Sunday and having to plug in JK Dobbins on the flex (and having 0 players on Monday if he is a game time call)
So you can see my issue here, In the cutline we play weeks 11+12 and add our avg season score for total and I need to be in the top 69 out of 278 teams to advance. This is the 1st playoff week the cutline has a 10 week regular season I scored 227 last week I needed that this week.
Beat you to it.If he’s ruled out, quickly pick up Metchie if available for the scrub at the end of your bench. By Monday night, you should know how aggressive you need to be in making that move.

Nico Collins’ top speed on this route: 21.44 MPH

Nico Collins has had 33 and 77-yard touchdowns taken away due to penalties over the past two weeks.
Neither penalty was exactly the reason why the score occurred. In another simulation where both scores had counted, Collins would be THE WR1 in fantasy since returning from injury
He was gifted a long catch after a cheap shot to injure a safety too. His TD came in an almost duplicate play to the week before. Mike Brown did nothing wrong but was flagged for it and gunshy so he didn't hit Nico this week.Ian Hartitz

Trent McDuffie may be an All-Pro cornerack... but the Texans shouldn't hesitate to throw the ball towards Nico Collins anyways when he's lined up against him.
With limited options, will have to bet on Nico's size and speed in isolation when available #HTownMade

Nico Collins vs. Trent McDuffie tonight, per @NextGenStats: 15 routes, 1 catch, 3 targets, 24 yards
I need them to push you to stay on the field big Nico. Need 16 out of you this year. 1400+ yards.
Reception Perception

Love Harmon, but not sure I can get on board with this. The biggest glaring issue is almost any conversation we have with Nico includes the phrase "when he's healthy". He hasn't played a full season yet, and has missed 17 games in just 4 seasons. The Texans also did just about nothing to address the fact they had one of, if not thee, worst offensive line in the league last year. I'd argue they actually got worse, as Tomlinson is just... bad... He grades out average, but looking at how many sacks he gave up/his single block win rate/and the amount of penalties he commits I say put him firmly below average.Reception Perception

Nico Collins
Healthy games 2024 including playoffs:
19 points per game
28% target share
48% endzone target share
2.87 yards per route (No. 2 in NFL)
Baller. WR1 overall upside.
Yeah, logging into RP it's clear too that he wasn't really saying Nico is a top 5 fantasy WR. Rather a top 5 WR TALENT. Going down that list he'd probably also have Jayden Reed and Josh Downs much higher than they are actually being drafted and valued in actual fantasy leagues. His grading isn't about how much they're healthy.
In a 10-12 team Redraft with normal scoring, PPR and you start 3-WR plus maybe 1-2 Flex spots...where would you rank him? I'm not saying Nico is bad, he's obviously a very good WR. But trying to tuck him in the top 5 seems like a gross stretch. Assuming those top 4 are Chase, JJ, Lamb, and Nabers; we are saying Nico is beating out Puka, ARSB, BTJ, London, and Ladd. For my money, I wouldn't have him ahead of any of them. I could see arguments for being ahead of Ladd, but that's it. Aside from the by far worst injury history, and what looks like the worst offense IMO, he's also the oldest. 3.5 older than BTJ and 2.5+ older than Puka, London, and Ladd. Top 10 WR? Sure. But I think anyone drafting him as a top 5 WR will be sorely disappointed. Not just for this year, but especially so in the next 3+ years.
I'd probably have him at WR9 in redraft; behind Chase/JJ/ARSB/Nabers/Lamb/Puka/BTJ/London. Kinda torn between him and Ladd in that next spot.In a 10-12 team Redraft with normal scoring, PPR and you start 3-WR plus maybe 1-2 Flex spots...where would you rank him? But Top 10-12 which in this style makes him an easy WR1, a lot of teams would like to have him in the top spot on their WR depth chart
Ever watch him for a whole game and what he does once the ball is in his hands, very difficult to get him on the ground, he's massive
And you are way overlooking his QB as is most of the fantasy community due to his poor OL last season that was largely dismantled
I'd caution you because you won't find many on his level
An AJB/Nico Collins WR/WR on the 1/2 turn seems like a nice way to start if you want to pair two strong WRs that aren't likely to be Top5 but could easily hit Top 10-15 overall on the season
And he's a threat for 1,500+ yds, you do understand that, right? You can't say that about a lot of WRs
Your injury concerns are well documented, you're not off base in discussing them, I just see a lot of talent oozing off Nico and i still think best days are ahead of him.
I would encourage you to watch him more this season when you have the opportunity, I always come away impressed
Fantasy isn't scored in PPG, and you need to be on the field every week to win games.
Lol I don't remember it, but full disclosure, most of my best arguments/philosophies are "adopted" from those smarter than I haha. So I could definitely have osmosis'ed it right into the noggin from your post on Jamo. It certainly makes sense for Williams, probably even more so because of the volatility of his scoring.Fantasy isn't scored in PPG, and you need to be on the field every week to win games.
Were you in the Jameson Williams thread when I made this argument? Sounds familiar and I agree with it. I’m a nervous Collins owner. The injuries and that paper-mache (papier-mache) line are really causing me consternation, as is Stroud and the sophomore year he just had. If they can get pressure on him we won’t be seeing those long hook-ups where Nico scores a touchdown while pulling a muscle.
I don’t know. I’m a reluctant GM and I hate what the Texans have done. I like his soft tissue issues even less.
We will see. I haven’t sat down to rank order redraft yet, but he looks like 10-15 range.

To argue from the other side; the fact Nico can miss 5 games and still put up a WR2 season speaks to his talent. So 100% worth owning, and I'd guess you're like me and got him for a great value as a rookie or in a trade before his value peaked. I looked up the one trade I made and man.... was I lucky lol. Nico AND Puka for Rhamondre and E. Moore and a future 3rd lol. Granted it was before both of them popped but wow hindsight is highway robbery.
For redraft I'm with you on that 10-15 range, I guess maybe I'd pick nits and say it's more 12-15 just bc I have a few WRs ahead of him against consensus but that's balanced by the fact I have a few consensus RBs behind him (namely Henry and CMC depending on your fav ADP) as I'm prioritizing WRs early much more than RB.
That's a solid turn, but you'd need to draft a WR3 fairly early to hedge against the 4-5 weeks Nico is out.In a 10-12 team Redraft with normal scoring, PPR and you start 3-WR plus maybe 1-2 Flex spots...where would you rank him? And believe me, I've watched plenty of Nico as I was an early adpoter. Took him as a rookie in one league, and traded for him on the cheap in another about halfway into his second season. I always felt like he was underrated. But I think having him in the top 10 is very fair and priced in line taking in the injury concerns. I'm not one for predicting injuries, but after 4 seasons of clear evidence that you are missing a handful of games from him IMO it's negligent to not price that in. In a non SF league, I'd gladly take Nico at the turn. In fact I've said a few times across several threads the past few weeks that's my main strategy this season. Get a late pick and go WR/WR at the 1/2 turn. Nico is obviously part of that target group there. And everyone else in that turn is just as capable of 1500 yards as Nico IMO. In fact, all of them put up last season similar yardage to Nico's best season, and they did it just last year. Drake London just had one of the quietest 1300 yard seasons I can remember. I think he's the one at that turn people are sleeping on much more so than Nico. So considering he's going closer to the mid second than the turn, the real sharp play would probably be picking around 8 or so that way you can grab slightly higher upside/situation of a Puka/Nabers and come back around with London. Ultimately it's splitting hairs with that bunch of WRs I named though. I don't fault anyone for shuffling them up in just about any order. But I do think anyone who's putting Nico a significant value above any of the others IS making a mistake.
As I addressed in my post, I know his line was dismantled. They removed the far and away best piece of that line in Tunsil. And the pieces they added are garbage, to be quite frank. But I'll let the team speak for me when we all see them play this season. Not to say the Texans as a whole won't improve, but there is absolutely 0 indication that the line will improve. I'm a firm believer in two things with OL; 1. Don't need 5 elite players, but 1 very poor one is enough to spoil the soup and 2. Familiarity and cohesion is vastly underrated. Point 2 leading me to believe they almost would have been better off keeping the below average lineman they had than swapping them out for new below average lineman because at least that way would have given another year of consistency and familiarity between the lineman themselves. Being able to group think/predict what the guy next to you will do before he does it helps bump up below average individual skills IMO.
Let's also not completely write off the fact Texans spent their very first draft pick in this draft on a WR. And then followed it up by spending their 3rd draft pick on another WR. I don't think either Higgins or Noel are taking significant targets away from Nico, let alone taking his job. But a team doesn't do that TWICE unless they share some of the same concerns I do about his injuries. Fantasy isn't scored in PPG, and you need to be on the field every week to win games. In a season that only lasts ~14 weeks, not having your drafted WR1 play in 25% of them is bad. Especially when you consider the week he gets injured you're likely getting a terrible score for that starting slot. And then you have to have to play the "well he's finally active again this week, but should I start him or not" lineup decisions game. It's a headache I'd like to avoid depending on his price.
