This is exactly the point I was going to make. That is classic inability to control anger. The helmet hit came in the second half after he already acknowledged he was acting like a moron out there. Remember when Haynesworth stepped on the guy's head and afterward said he didn't even remember doing it. That's a boiling rage that needs to be addressed professionally or it's gonna keep happening.Giving the kid a pass because he's young and immature is exactly what enables more of this behavior. And it sounds like the Giants are taking the same tack, at least publicly. It just shows ignorance and is the reason these athletes feel entitled and untouchable.Isn't this the straw man argument? According to ESPN or nfl.com I forget which one, he apologized at half time to the team. Then he went out and CONTINUED to behave like that. He knew he was hurting the team. Rage over took him and he couldn't control it. So yes, counseling is probably appropriate for him because it's clear he has an anger management issue. Let's hope this doesn't get out of control and become more evident in his every day behavior. The nfl had a pr nightmare last year with individuals with anger issues (Ray rice, hardy, etc).
Beckham want acting like a 22 year old with some growing up to do. He was acting like a thug with no comprehension for anyone's safety, even his own teammates when he flew in with that head shot.

As an ODB owner I would be furious, but it's the right thing to do to say, look we don't approve of this and it's not who we are

One of the first plays i watched Norman just throw OBJ on the ground after a play when OBJ wasnt even engaging him with a ref right there. Nothing. No call no talking to them no nothing.
And they wonder why it escalated.

The enabling continues!!! He is just a sweet, innocent kid who was bullied and scared. He doesnt need counseling, he just needs a few years to grow up, thats all. I remember when I tried to take someone's head off on national tv...ah...the good old days. It sickens me to see how blind OBJ owners are to this "little boys" antics. I mean, he is just a kid right OBJ owners? Maybe counseling isnt the answer. How about a full time babysitter!! That ought to make all the mean, bat carrying, gay slur slinging, meanies go away so OBJ or ODB or BO can go back to being the innocent angel god that he is. Damn the person. As long as he can catch balls with one hand and generate fantasy points we couldnt care less what he does!!! Glad he is suspended and I hope he ruins fantasy titles next week. Take off the blinders. If the guy was often suspended sure. But what I'm pointing out is its not like I'm,condoning his behavior by drafting him... I guess anyone who drafted ADP this yr supports child abuse and deserved to have their fantasy season ruined last year?
Is there past behavior that would have predicted this kind of thuggish behavior that would make me want to avoid him on draft day? Is there a history of this behavior?
I'm right in line with most everyone else saying that he should be suspended. To say, "I hope anyone with him on their team has their season ruined" sounds like sour grapes. Sorry you lost to a guy with ODB George, but let me reassure you that he probably isn't defending him this week.

Meant 'for those saying decision wednesday'. There are numerous people in this thread saying he has *already appealed*. As much as you want to trust Schefter, that's not the case.
So that changes the timeline for things. If he waits to appeal until the last possible moment, which would be in the Giants best interest if they want him to have a chance to play week 16, then the appeal couldn't be *heard* until Thursday at the absolute earliest, with a decision on Friday. If the appeal takes longer to hear or a decision takes longer to reach, maybe they let him play week 16 and push a possible suspension to week 17.
Waiting to see if his hunger strike stuff til commish resigns was actually said or someone making it up.
Even if you subscribe to the doesn't have to like his boss mindset, Commish can spin that around and say he's not fit to play if he's not eating. Make it an unhealthy suspension this week, hear appeal and suspend him from next week's game.

So because the refs blew it and didn't throw either of them out, the league should turn a blind eye to a player trying to intentionally injure another by launching his helmet into his head? Wonderful logic.

I wish I was in a league where randle was available. I am playing albert Wilson, roddy white or some other junk like that since nothing is on the waiver wire. I am a lock for 2nd place in 3 leagues at least.....
