WR Parker Washington, JAX (1 Viewer)

Good call. 6-103 and a TD so far today.

Considering Lawrence left the game and Washington did most of his damage with Jones in the game, I’m going to go with half a good call.
Fair

I didn’t do that to be difficult, by the way. It was by way of giving latecomers and people who didn’t see the game the information that Washington was successful with Jones. Given what the Commanders just did to TN, Washington might be a waiver wire darling this week.

Is he a viable option going forward? No Lawrence but Mac and him had chemistry. Not to mention he's one of the few healthy bodies left.

Such a strange outburst considering the presence of BTJ and Engram on this team. Those two command attention and Parker certainly took advantage of the added volume due to this.

I'm not sure what else to think in regards to a former sixth round pick but he is certainly playing for a 2025 role to possibly replace Kirk?

He flashed last year enough for me to have him rostered going into week 1 but I cut him after that. He also flashed the first week Davis and Kirk were out, so I preemptively picked him up before this week. The guy is pretty good. Scorer a special teams TD in like week 6. He and Mac had good chemistry in the preseason and have prob been developing it on the 2nd team.

His draft capital hurts him, but I think he could be somebody.

Though I'll never go into a week expecting the kind of production he had yesterday I was more surprised he was so lackluster in his previous starts after Kirk went down then how he did yesterday.

Back in training camp some of their beat writers, like Shipley, was saying he was the most improved player on the team/best WR in camp. I actually picked him up a few leagues, and these are not overly large rosters but 20 man high/mid stakes type rosters in both redraft and dynasty, the Sunday morning that Kirk would later get injured on the notion they were about to trade Kirk. Those pickups were a few dollars and I was pretty happy with my timing. After Kirk went down I went really aggressive on him and got to a point he was my most heavily rostered player. I was disappointed in his performance and ended up cutting almost everywhere but thankfully bought him back on a lot of teams in the last week though he was on the bench in all of them.

I think he's a solid WR3 option, he or Engram figure to dominate the short/intermediate routes that are a heavy emphasis in this offense. I'd say he has a great/obvious shot to replace the Kirk role in 2025 but then it's going to be a new offenses so the Kirk role may not be very applicable, but he does have a great shot to be the intermediate/possession WR opposite Brian Thomas which could have some value.

If Jones is in, I have concerns for anyone starting. Jerry Rice in his prime might still give me some concern. I think Washington is really underrated though. He came out for the draft early and coming off injury. If not I expect he would have been a 2nd round pick. Not testing was bad for him. He is built like a RB and has a lot of Deebo to his game.

We'll see what they do in the draft, but the Kirk cut really opens the door for Washington to continue the nice streak he had going late in the season once he was over 80% or so on snap share. Think the Jags are unfortunately pot committed on Gabe Davis for at least next season, but between the meniscus tear, and the fact Parker outproduced him in receptions, yardage, and TDs in only 6 games to Gabe's 9 games... I'm optimistic he could earn the WR2 role here in hopefully a rejuvenated offense. Especially if Jax doesn't add anyone that noteworthy. Sure they could use another receiving threat, but they could use a lot on both sides of the ball and just had a big hit on BT. I could see them adding depth and rolling with what they got.

I would be surprised if they don’t add a quality WR although this off-season that may not be as easy as it should be…they just hired an offensive HC and his future will be tied into getting the most out Trevor Lawrence…I think Washington has an opportunity but they don’t want be in a position where they are one Thomas injury from being a black hole at WR.

Yeah I just don't think there is much quality out there without spending a 1st, or at the very least a 2nd, round draft pick on one. Realistically, I think Gabe should be back relatively soon into the season, if not before it begins (probably just take a bit to round into form). And Engram really stepped his game up since moving from NY to there. Agree they would feel below average to straight up poor in the receiving department if they lost BT. But really, we could say that about 50% of NFL teams if they lost their WR1. (In other words, let a Washington owner dream here Boston! :ROFLMAO: )

I hear ya…I have Brenton Strange holding down a roster spot until it’s cut down time on Labor Day…gonna be real interesting to see what they do…until they do we can still dream!

Whelp.... looks like you're holding onto him and the GM was not exaggerating about him being involved in the offense seeing as they just released Engram haha. Congrats! Thankfully I do own Strange as well in the league where I have Engram. I gotta admit this certainly bolsters your argument they will be adding a pass catcher to this offense though.

Also have Engram so hopefully he lands somewhere good and Strange takes advantage of this opportunity…Will be interesting what it looks like after FA and the draft.
