WR Puka Nacua LAR (2 Viewers)

You will always have to worry about Puka's health. He has had ton of injuries throughout college and the NFL thus far.

He's a risk but the reward is worth it.
Traded him away for Breece basically. Was just looking at upcoming schedule to finish out the season. Redraft.

Did he have knee issues in college?
Nov 28, 2019Non-NFLPedal Foot FractureNacua missed the final five games while at Washington.
Jan 31, 2023Non-NFLHead Cranial Concussion Grade 1Nacua was hurt while participating in Senior Bowl practices. He sat out the game.

Starting to think he should've had some type of surgery and been out for a while this year. But rest and rehab didn't do the trick. Probably player's choice to avoid surgery.

I'm always so nervous watching him play...plus McVay's offense is incredibly demanding. Maybe that's the only good game we get out of him this year :(

To add to this is from Dane Brugler's Beastguide:

scouts have voiced concern about his durability as he battled numerous minor issues in his career … suffered a sprained right ankle in the 2022 season opener (September 2022) and missed the following two games; he also missed time after suffering a hamstring injury (September 2022); a broken foot in practice (October 2019) ended his freshman season and required surgery; pulled out of the Senior Bowl after one practice because of a concussion (January 2023); unable to test at the combine because of a right toe injury (March 2023).

Thought I pulled one getting him mid 2nd round in re-draft when the Rams were down playing the injury. Between Puka and Higgins, I'm 3-5 and not getting better.

G0ddammit.

The recurring injuries have me on the verge of sell at next HIGH opportunity and never look back.

I'm tired of this ****e, last year was spectacular, but evidently the chronic injuries go back some years.

Hate this, but can't deny it.

Part of me wonders if McVay does not report an injury to have the opposing team's staff prepare for other options or have it in their heads he could be a decoy or not healthy. I swear, every time I bench him for being conservative, he plays well. I get aggressive, and I'm rewarded.

Yeah. Pretty cool that McVay would do that. Nobody has ever done it before. Super creative.

So as it is this week, you're feeling like playing him with no hesitation?

Exactly what I am thinking…sometimes as a fantasy owner you need to make a quality of life decision.

What are The Homies hearing?
Is he playing?
100% yes?
50% yes?
100% no?
50% no? which is the same as 50% yes

I have no choice but to play him.
I'll be "out of touch" when the inactives come out for the late games.
So he's in my lineup
Puka lacka Puka lacka Pu Pu Pu...Puka lacka Puka lacka I need you!

If he plays, he plays for me every week moving forward. I could get burned, but so be it.

Is this a points to shirt moment? 3-
I point to the shirt daily in that league haha.
:lmao:
Get the shirt back out!

Two weeks ago, Daniels left early with an injury, lost by <5.
Last week, Jordan Love left early with an injury, lost by <5. Would have won if I played Daniels but great matchup and Daniels dinged up.
This week: Higgins misses yet another one. Puka throws a punch, AJ Brown leaves with injury. Current projections have me losing by <1.

With better luck, could have been 6-3, now likely 3-6.

With what feels like the most injury cursed season I've ever dealt with, to lose a guy for throwing a punch is one for the books. We gotta add that to the shirt!

You must not have been playing during the Steve Smith days. This ain't my first rodeo with ejections, unfortunately.

Wait until you've accumulated some stats before getting ejected, like an adult. That guy will be there to punch for 4 quarters. We don't have to kill fantasy teams.

I had Andre Johnson when he got ejected for beating the crap out of Courtland Finnegan. At that point, he had 9 catches, 56 yards, and a TD. 20.6 PPR points. He left the game with his real team having a big lead. None of this 1 catch for 11 yards CRAP.

I head the announcer say last night he has the 5th-most catches all-time through his first 20 games, yet only 6 TDs. As much as I love his usage, this really caps his upside. Is this a positive-regression incoming situation, or do the Rams just utilize other weapons in the RZ?

What’s his outlook for the rest of schedule? Top 5? 10? 20? Debating whether I should make an offer for him.

Top 10 at least in PPR.

I'm not sure what I'd take in an offer on the teams I have him on but it would take quite a bit.
What if someone offered you Hurts in Superflex? I ask this because I haven’t solidified anything but have a trade discussion going in this direction for a WR needy team and my QBs merely okay.

I mean I think you have to do that, and I love Puka.
