Keep this on football and not shots at each other.
You are right. That is on me. I prefer to be educated about a topic I am discussing. I falsely applied that to you as a poster when I shouldn't assume you want the same thing.Based 100% on the FBG attorney saying as much. And I said that several times. And I wasn’t alone. My post is in response to he wouldn’t get suspended at all this year
Didn’t happen.arguing with a Lawyer on how the process,
not sure if there is video.
That’s called honestly. Are you saying I’m supposed to say I know about something I don’t know? I didn’t know if there was video. If you have a problem with that it’s 100% a you problem.
My apologies. I will do better.
If he gets 6 games there is no chance you get him in round 12Would only draft him as my WR3 or 4 in the 7th/8th round in a 12 team redraft. And that’s only if my WR1 and WR2 are absolute studs that I’m very confident in and don’t have injury history at all. Ie. They don’t even get the flu.
(Assuming start 3 WRs)
Maybe I was being optimistic with my 7th/8th round estimate.CBS Sports thinks it will be 8 games and he will accept it and move on
If the suspension is 6-8 games, we’re starting to talk 12-15th round flier to take up a bench roster spot (assuming your IR slots don’t allow suspended players) for half your season.
That’s right around where @Dez said he went in a draft that went down the day the verdict was announced.A 4'ish round ADP dip on average which would put Rice in the 6/7 range.
While this is probably true, (and I am not dismissing or in any way minimizing the severity of the issue), because he fled the scene he managed to avoid this particular land mine. And more than likely under an influence of substance(s)

Maybe in a smaller roster local league but not the national type contest.
2022 Hopkins is an almost perfect example. Same position, was getting drafted relatively close to where Rice has been going, 6 games came out of the blue, and he dropped basically from a late third/early 4th to a 7th-early 8th round guy. A 4'ish round ADP dip on average which would put Rice in the 6/7 range.
Im kinda of worried about that 5 yr probation part, dude seems like a knuckle head. Im thinking if I can get a boat load for him next season i might do itFor Rice I think the projection of 2-4 games that came out initially as what the team expected was light. I would be surprised if it wasn't 6+. That said, I am excited for Rice in dynasty and bought another share this offseason. I am glad the suspension should take place this year to get that out of the way. The bigger issue will be his behavior moving forward and the huge implications it could have on him being able to play games.
The league can punish him for whatever they please. Look at some of the examples given already. Judkins and Tucker were only accused without no evidence pointing to them... but their seasons are basically over alreadyAnd more than likely under an influence of
The league really can’t punish him for a DUI or possession as a result. Maybe Goodell could lean towards the longer end of a potential suspension because of it? Honestly don’t know all the workings of the NFLPA - while generally considered a weak union, there are guidelines in place for how the league penalizes players.
DV / SA is a vastly different issue with vastly different options available to the commish. Your 2 examples are related to DV and SA, and not applicable to the Rice situation. The league can punish him for whatever they please. Look at some of the examples given already. Great postIf I was in Goodell's shoes, the lens through which I'd be viewing this, is absolutely the Ruggs lens.
As in: "There, but for the grace of God, go (sic) *you*", to paraphrase St. Francis of Assisi...
Rashee Rice and his merry band of idiots were a hairs breath away from doing exponentially more harm than Henry Ruggs did.
They got lucky; Henry Ruggs killed Tina Tintor.
I don't care what the public perception of this incident is, for the good of the League, the Players, and public safety, if I'm Goodell, I make an example out of him:
For 1 year: unpaid leave, travel in vehicle driven only by a chauffeur, no recreational activities without a NFL-provided chaperone, drug and alcohol testing, petition for reinstatement, and community service. If you don't like it, you can play in someone else's 'professional' football League. 'No Fun League? I'll *show* you No Fun League.
Now, *THAT* would send a message that would be hard to ignore.
People were injured. But nobody died.Great postIf I was in Goodell's shoes, the lens through which I'd be viewing this, is absolutely the Ruggs lens.

Ruggs was twice the legal limit in Nevada when he caused the accident that killed Tina Tintor. Would have been interesting to see the toxicology report on Rice after that accident. Of course he walked away and stayed away until it was safe to test him so we will never know. Some posters called it "smart". I'm more in the "cowardly" camp. But either way, the fact that Rice had a million kinds of blind luck that day and nobody was injured shouldn't lessen the punishment he receives from the league. Thank god he was lucky but Roger should drop the hammer on him.

Is he? Like 27 people outside of the fantasy football community know who Rashee Rice is, and they were all run off the road by him. He puts zero butts in seats or in front of screens that wouldn't be there anyway. While you are absolutely correct, the nfl is for entertainment and Rashee Rice being on the field playing is good for the NFL30 Days in jail with 5 yrs proby... 2 3rd degree felonies with intent to cause serious bodily harm to others; and we're talking about 2 - 4... thats insane. The talk should begin with 10 then work its way down with 7 plus a HUGE fine. Had he stayed at the scene and began checking on people and helping until authorities got there... then maybe we can talk 4 games but this guy has zero remorse.
The chiefs should be significantly a better team with him on the field and they barely have any noon games this season. Is he? Double negative aside... Wut?Judkins and Tucker were only accused without no evidence pointing to them... but their seasons are basically over already
Patty and Travis are the stars bud, maybe Rashee was on his way to stardom before Patty too him out himself and now RR has a 2nd off-season off negative press and will miss games. That part is insane, but i guess it had to be in the language to get Rice to sign the deal so everyone can move on.Getting 30 days but with the ability to serve it when Rice wants to over a period of five years is a nice benefit for Rice. Judges often allow working men supporting families to serve minor jail sentences on weekends so their is no disruption of
Do we really have to educate bro on what is evidence in the court of law.Double negative aside... Wut?Judkins and Tucker were only accused without no evidence pointing to them... but their seasons are basically over already
Tucker has had a LOT of victims come forward. What?
Judkins literally has the bruises on the face of the woman he was accused of punching. What?
I don't know what exactly you consider "evidence" but I don't know what else you would call multiple victims coming forward in a sex assault case, and a bruise in an assault case. Genuinely, what else do you want?

I pointed out that things didn't look for Tucker due multiple people giving the same story. As for Judkins, how can you prove to us that her marks was caused by him? Do you have audio? Video? Did someone witness it and has given a statement? Nope, as far as we know none of those happened; they're incident happened in a private setting and she waited 3 days to report after she "thought they could work it out." Yeah, it would take saul goodmen 5 minutes in court to get him off these charges.
Not only that, which was bad enough, but that Tucker also got BANNED from at least one PT facility. If I'm a business owner and I have a wealthy client who's done nothing wrong, I'm not kicking him/her out of my establishment.I pointed out that things didn't look for Tucker due multiple people giving the same story.

This convo should be moved to Judkins and has nothing to do with Rashee... and I'll say your not wrong on circumstantial evidence. The public mob moves too fast and demands it's pound of flesh and blood way too early. But I will also say that young lady's story isn't sitting right with me at the moment. I've stated why in the Judkins thread and will leave it there."Evidence" doesn't mean proof. You get that right? Words have meanings.
Chiefs HC Andy Reid said Rashee Rice will be a full participant in training camp.
“He’ll go in and take all the reps that he’ll normally take,” Reid said of Rice. The third-year receiver was recently handed down a five-year probation that included 30 days of jail time he must serve over that span for the role he played in a multi-vehicle crash last season. Before he suffered a torn ACL in Week 4 of last season, Rice was off to a solid start, totaling 24 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns on 29 targets. The possibility of a suspension this season still looms for Rice, but it’s been reported any beliefs that Rice will be suspended could be “premature.” We’ll see where things go from here, but as far as fantasy managers are concerned, Rice receiving a full assortment of camp snaps in his return from injury is a good sign for his 2025 outlook. He will profile as a fringe WR1/WR2 if he returns to his normal role and is at full strength come Week 1.
A typical Reid press conference would be:"Yup. He's practicing at full speed. He's revved up and firing in all cylinders. His motor is burning non stop and won't quit until he brings that Lombardi across the finish line! We just have to make sure to rein him in enough so he doesn't blow a wheel and end up on the trainers table and have to go back to the starting line."

that's very punny, but I don't think you should attribute it to Reid

Q: Did Rashee Rice practice?
A: Yes.
Q: Do you know when he will be suspended?
A: No.
Q: Do you know if he will be suspended?
A: No.
“The biggest winner of today’s practice is Rashee Rice, who was the most-targeted receiver for Patrick Mahomes,” new ESPN beat reporter Nate Taylor (formerly of The Athletic) relayed on X. He said this while sharing a video highlight from Fox 4 KC’s Harold R. Kuntz.
Mahomes and Rice have always displayed an instant chemistry on the football field, pretty much since the former SMU pass-catcher first entered the league in 2023. Day one of Chiefs training camp was no different.
“We missed Rashee [Rice] on those crossers so bad last year. Unguardable,” A-to-Z Sports Kansas City contributor Nick Roesch commented on a different training camp clip (via KSHB 41’s Matt Foster).
Mahomes and Rice appeared to be in midseason form on Tuesday, despite Rice’s recent recovery from knee surgery, as well as the latest on his legal situation.
If Rice does get suspended by the NFL in 2025, which now appears likely, the Chiefs will hope that it’s a lesser number of games. Because once Rice is cleared to play, this duo looks like it’s prepared to do some major damage together on the field.
Its mind numbing they have announced it yet... my guess is the NFL, KC and RR are hoping we get over it and dont up roar when its simply 2 to 3 games![]()

I got him at 4.09 in a 12-team start-up, and that was when we knew nothing about the legal process.Doing an FFPC startup and 1 pick away from my 3.06. Rice still on the board and really tempting. But probably chicken out and grab HIggins and hope Rice falls into the 4th.

Should. That’s a lot of picks.
ETA: FFPC drafts the last 3 days have his ADP at 43 overall. Hasn’t changed a bit, surprisingly. That is exactly 4.07, btw.

we have to remember there was another driver involved.....who will have some culpability.....and could also be a reason there are some loose ends that still need to be tied up before putting a bow on this whole incident...Oh, it's on videoThe way they got out of the cars and just started walking on the freeway . . . was I dreaming or did they have that on video? That was surreal.
A guy was videoing them and asking why they were walking away. Of course they gave no response as they scooted off- YouTube

I forgot, not only is he responsible for that million to the victim... he's gotta pay for those 2 super cars; then all the other cars damaged
