This guy was so good in college, unstoppable. It's nice to see him finally performing in the NFL. Maybe his body finally adjusted to the NFL or maybe a lightbulb turned on for him, but it's great to watch.
He and Juan Jennings are both such great values based on their ADP. I guess people just aren't paying attention to what both did last year. Both put up very respectable numbers, especially for how late they are going in drafts.
Always knew Bateman had it in him, still wish he could’ve gone to a different team. 17 games and 9 TD on only 45 rec doesn’t seem sustainable. Looking at his game log he didn’t consistently get a lot of yards (had a season high 121 and his next highest was 80) and was largely TD dependent much like a TE. Only 72 targets. Would like to see a lot more for him but I don’t see it in Baltimore. Flowers is still the WR1 on a team designed to run the ball more than almost any other team in the NFL.
This says a lot to me about Bateman's growth in maturity and understanding his place and value on this Ravens team. Good for him and good for the Ravens.
"I just know I can play ball and it's like everybody knows that now and I'm not here to prove that to nobody," Bateman said. "I work for the Ravens. I work for Lamar Jackson technically. If these guys are pleased with what I'm doing and my work ethic and all of that, then I feel like as a team that's important to me. So I've done that and I'm definitely looking to continue to build off of that for sure."
