I saw a slow motion replay and it didn't look clean to me. He never brought the ball to his body.

If that wasn't in the endzone, I don't think they rule it a catch and fumble.

You don’t need to bring the ball to your body .. just two hands on it (even one), fully secured (no movement) with two feet down. In this case, he took three steps.
