I'm sure I could find a wayNo, you'd be saying this is good news.
ROBOFOOT!!
I'm sure I could find a wayNo, you'd be saying this is good news.
I don't know. I would guess it is likely not. I think Thomas was more of an Achilles and Dez was the 5th Metatarsal or whatever. Seems like Julio and Dez were the same or very close. Last year when Parker came out I recall many people discussing the foot and saying "don't be surprised if this turns out to be something where he's better down the road than immediately because of lingering effects."Exactly what I was thinking, except you had a longer list.
Do we know if this is the same issue as Julio and Dez?
I'll worry when he starts missing games or his performance level drops. So, this is what I look like in the Gordon thread?
By that gauge he could get shot in the leg tomorrow and it wouldn't bother you.I'll worry when he starts missing games or his performance level drops.
Injuries have already been a factor with him. This is just the latest.I'll worry when he starts missing games or his performance level drops.
Thankfully FBG has Bramel on staff so we don't have to make decisions based on Shutout's knee-jerk reactionsMy knee-jerk guess is that this keeps Watkins down for at least half the season. I just don't know how you break a foot in April and (likely) miss valuable time training and then come first of September, you are the 100% and good to go.
Feel free to mark this and see what happens.Thankfully FBG has Bramel on staff so we don't have to make decisions based on Shutout's knee-jerk reactions
He'd probably miss games if he got shot in the leg. So yes, that would bother meBy that gauge he could get shot in the leg tomorrow and it wouldn't bother you.
How bad was it? Working on the deal before the injury? Did it affect the deal?Traded for him today if anyone cares lol
Yeah i would say. Watkins was untradeable for him before the news. I sent a Cooks for Watkins offer when the news broke. He rejected, thought about it overnight and sent me an offer in the morning. How bad was it? Working on the deal before the injury? Did it affect the deal?
Try and go after Decker imo. Decker and a 2nd should suffice. This news about Watkins has me worried. Should I sell him low?
The second might make this an overpay. Pass.Try and go after Decker imo. Decker and a 2nd should suffice.
You can always offer it up and see what the other owner says.......The second might make this an overpay. Pass.
Receivers statistically on par with Gary Barnidge are tough to come by.Oh no, I overreacted and sold him low. Maybe the other owner will sell him back to me at a low price. I should have known better than to overreact when it comes to players like Watkins. My loss.
Still at it I see. I missed you buddy. Looking forward to another year of watching you back track!Receivers statistically on par with Gary Barnidge are tough to come by.
On what?Still at it I see. I missed you buddy. Looking forward to another year of watching you back track!
I am waiting to see who is throwing to Decker, and if Watkins is healthy.Over. Easy.
Over, assuming the same number of games for each.On what?
You taking the over or under versus Decker this season?
Well, that's really the point, isn't it?Over, assuming the same number of games for each.
Agree in premise but not willing to issue that as a pure blanket statement. This guy is really starting to go the CJ SPiller route. Maybe its a buffalo medical staff thing but multiple injuries to a WR and then one thing leads to another and then you blink and he's 26 and ...well, you end up looking back realizing you held a guy like him for 7-8 years on a dynasty roster and he ends up with one 1100 yard season, maybe 2 years where he actually played 15-16 games. Far too often it just doesn't translate. If someone's selling Watkins, I am buying without hesitation! He's too young to worry about these minor issues. He will be a top-5 WR in no time at all.
Sammy Watkins (foot surgery) told TSN in Canada that he expects to be ready early in training camp.
Watkins stated in early June that "nobody knows" when he'll be healed following surgery to repair stress fractures in his left foot. Now out of his walking boot, Watkins is changing his tune. "For training camp, I think I’ll definitely be available," he said. "I might sit out 2-3 days. ... The goal is to come back and be prepared for training camp." Watkins did reiterate that "there's really no timetable." Despite the concerning injury and subsequent surgery, Watkins' Average Draft Position hasn't moved much. He's a third-round pick pretty much across the board.

Sammy Watkins said he is staying in Buffalo all summer to rehab his surgically-repaired foot.
Over the weekend, Watkins said he plans to be ready early in training camp, and he appears to be doing everything in his power to make good on that promise. He also is focusing on staying healthy after being constantly limited his first two seasons. "The important part is getting on the field and staying healthy," Watkins said. "Once I figure my body out and do the assessment I need to do, I’ll figure out what type of food, everything I need to do to keep myself on the field." The fourth-best fantasy receiver over the final nine weeks last year, Watkins will be a huge value if he is able to get and stay healthy.

In an interview with ESPN's Vaughn McClure, Sammy Watkins (foot) was noncommittal about his status for training camp.
Last week Watkins was adamant he would be ready for the start of training camp. Now he seems to be backing off that assertion. "Hopefully I'll be back," said Watkins. "If not, then cool. Get ready for the first game." Watkins admitted he hasn't run in 3-4 weeks but said he's "just being safe." Watkins is still on track for Week 1 but that's only if he doesn't encounter any setbacks.

I expected to see him jogging around a bit. That was impressive.
PLEASE get and stay healthy this year Sammy!

I hope so.....I own both in an auction keeper league.Him and TyGod are such an exciting combo. Really hope they both can have a healthy 16.
I was pretty down on Sammy last year, but his deep ball efficiency and ypr had to be insane last year. He seemed to have such a connection with Taylor. The offense works so well with Sammy being a field stretcher, Tyrod's legs forcing defenses to stay honest and a nice collection of RBS in McCoy, Karlos and Gillislee.I hope so.....I own both in an auction keeper league.
Interesting trade offer.Watkins will be a prolific WR for years to come IMO and I do believe he is better than Evans. I just turned down David Johnson for Watkins in a start 1 RB (minimum) league where I already have Gurley, McCoy, Ingram, and Hill. That's what I think of Sammy Watkins.
http://www.wgr550.com/pages/22823075.php?contentType=4&contentId=18806167Even Sammy Watkins doesn’t know yet if Bills trainers will allow him to be on the field for all of the team work and reps once training camp begins Saturday.
But, he says, he’s sprinting and moving 100-percent and “prepared to do everything on the side by myself if I need to.”
As the Bills third-year wideout recovers from offseason surgery on his left foot, he told the team’s official website that the foot is healed and he’ll be prepared to do whatever they have him do in camp, whether that means getting involved in team reps or just doing more work on the side with strength and conditioning coaches after he does individual work with his fellow wideouts.
In the meantime, Watkins has stayed in Buffalo throughout most of this offseason, working out three hours a day five to six days a week.
“Gassers, 100s, everything in the workout room,” he said. “Any explosiveness, I’m doing that. I’m doing the cuts, but certain things are full speed and certain things aren’t.”
After a slow start last year due to injuries, the 2014 first-round pick had a tremendous second half of the season and is looking to start 2016 where he left off, averaging 100 yards receiving over the team's final nine games and over 113 yards per game over the final six.
Those workouts he's been doing aren’t solely to rehab and test the foot, though. Watkins wasn’t able to participate in the team’s offseason workout program, including OTAs and minicamp. So, he’s making sure he’s in the best shape possible to be able to hit the field for camp in whatever capacity that may entail.
“It’s really about being in shape,” Watkins said. “Everything else doesn’t matter.”
Bills announced Sammy Watkins (foot) passed his physical.
As did DTs Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams. With his physical complete, Watkins should be moved off the PUP and allowed to practice, although the Bills will undoubtedly take it slow with their playmaker. Watkins will always carry injury concerns, but he brings top-five upside when on the field. He is a great pick in the third round.

All signs seem good. I am drafting him in the early 3rd and feeling good about it. He passed his physical a couple weeks ago. He has had zero setbacks. He played briefly in week 3 (all Bills starters played briefly, so no worry there). He said in an interview yesterday that he is ready for the season. He finished the final stages of reconditioning. The last 2 practices he was finally back to full speed and he said his foot felt fine. When he first came back, he was running routes at 85% and would need rest after a few plays. Now he is getting back to 100% and not needing to come out for rest. He said his mindset is, "back to nasty."Any Watkins' news of interest?
