WR Troy Franklin, DEN (1 Viewer)

Payton's love for lil Jordan has confused and frustrated Saints and now Broncos fans. I think he's mixed in here somehow.
Not sure which Broncos fans you're talking about but they must not be very well informed, because LJ Humphrey is an absolute monster after the catch.

Really?
No one wanted Mims to play more last year?
No one was boasting of Mims and Franklin developing together this summer?
Mims and Franklin are developing together now.

Mims playing more last year wouldn't have made a lick of difference because Wilson couldn't get him the ball anyway

LJ Humphrey is the team's best blocking WR
Oh no no
You claimed to be unsure of which broncos fans said something that was widely commented for more than a year

Um. No.

You made a blanket statement that Broncos fans were "confused and frustrated" why Payton loves LJ Humphrey.

I said was anyone who is "confused and frustrated" about why LJ Humphrey is getting playing time must be not very well informed. Then I listed multiple legit reasons why Payton likes him, including video proof of a skillset no other WR has.

I have no idea why you injected Mims into the conversation.

Anyone think Franklin could become Nix's go to in this offense? Sounds like Payton wants to increase the touches for their young guys at this point.

Troy Franklin caught 5-of-6 targets for 50 yards in the Broncos’ Week 7 win over the Saints.

Fresh off his first NFL touchdown, Franklin posted new season highs in catches, yards and targets. This, on an evening where Courtland Sutton was not targeted. We wouldn’t read too much into that Sutton fact, but coach Sean Payton is clearly trying to get fourth-rounder Franklin more involved in the offense following his slow start. There is such limited upside in this run-first attack with a shaky rookie quarterback, but you could see Franklin coming into WR5 relevance in deeper leagues. The Panthers are a plus Week 8 matchup.

PFF's Nathan Jahnke - NFL Week 4 Recap: Immediate fantasy football takeaways from Broncos-Saints Thursday Night Football

Troy Franklin’s role expands: Franklin set a career-high in receiving yards, breaking the 31-yard mark he set for himself last week.

Over the last two weeks since Josh Reynolds landed on injured reserve, the Broncos have generally used Courtland Sutton, Franklin and Devaughn Vele on passing plays, while Sutton and Lil’Jordan Humphrey are used on run plays.

During those two weeks, Franklin has led the team in targets (nine) and receptions (seven). Thursday night, he caught five receptions for 50 yards, leading the Broncos. While Sutton has constantly been on the field, he wasn’t targeted at all in this game. Franklin was the sixth-wide receiver on our big board between Brian Thomas Jr. and Ladd McConkey and now, he’s playing the number of snaps needed to be a fantasy starter. He’s worth a waiver-wire target because there’s a chance he will lead the Broncos in targets over the rest of the season.
