Wreck it Ralph - Disney's next (1 Viewer)

My bad. This is a Disney movie but not Pixar.

But John Lasseter is an executive producer.

I think they'll like it. By the way, it's Vanellope.
My bad. The guy who took the photo pass from us and told us her name was from Spain. I'll blame him

Kid's are still only 21 months old. Otherwise I'd be there in the movie theater. Can't really justify going for myself. Would look... weird. Still going to watch it when it comes to rental.

The whole family enjoyed Ralph--I liked the retro humor (cheat code), and the 8-6-3 boys thought it was funny. No bad language, sex scenes, or violence...just good clean fun. Frankenweenie was brutally bad, but then I'm not a Tim Burton fan.

Just got back from seeing this with my 8 and 7 year old boys. They loved it, and the wife and I really enjoyed it as well. Definitely recommend it for kids, especially any gamers.

We saw it this weekend and I really enjoyed it. My 8 yo old son loved it and my 3 yo daughter got scared during some scenes but enjoyed it.

My wife and I just looked at each other like wtf when the zombie had his heart pulled out. Thought that was totally unnecessary.

Went and saw it with my kids (9, 7, 4). They all loved it. Wife and I enjoyed it, me moreso than her (she's not a gamer). Some good humor for kids and adults. Definitely some throwbacks to old video games and cheat codes. Fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

My 4yo still walking around today saying "No buts, no cuts, no coconuts."

I saw it with my daughters and we really enjoyed it.

Help me out..when were the cheatcodes yall are mentioning? I must have missed something. I am not much of a gamer. :bag:

Yep. There was only one cheatcode scene that I recall, and it was very clever. That's why I think this movie could have benefited from some Pixar magic. That kind of cleverness is woven all throughout the Toy Story movies, where here it only pops up several times. Having all the throwback characters make cameos was cool, but they didn't do much with them. Definitely a good movie, but I think it had the potential to be Toy Story good.

By the way, Sarah Silverman as Vanellope was a fun casting choice. I kept waiting for her to say something raunchy.

When did they say that? Thanks.
Didn't King Candy enter the code to get into the "guts" of Sugar Rush?
Right. King Candy grabs an old NES controller to enter the cheat.

I normally like kids movies and thought this was a real snoozer. Was waiting for it to be over. Just couldn't get invested in the characters in any way. Checking the watch halfway through the movie.

It was good, not great. I agree that there wasn't any real bonding to the characters. It was fun though and my family enjoyed it so nothing to complain about here.

Also, the scene when Ralph sacrifices himself to save Sugar Rush and Vanellope was way too reminiscent of the similar scene in The Iron Giant.

I must have been grabbing a beer out of the cooler. Missed that.

Putz

I think my wife enjoyed this more than my daughter and she doesn't game.

Overall not great but very enjoyable.... not to sound all over protected but are movies a tad more "violent" ? Maybe I'm not remembering right but a lot o talk of kill and shooting. And yes I realize bugs bunny was violent and road runner..... Just seems different

Not that it stops me from enjoying the movie or taking my kid just an observation

I took my boys to see it Friday. It started and ended strong but too big of a lull in the middle for me. It could have been great.

About right but I still enjoyed it.I'd forgotten all about putting the quarters up on the dash of the game to show how many times you were playing/who had next. Brought a tear to my eye.

This is about where I was. My 9 and 3 year old boys loved it. I love watching kids movies, but this one just didn't do it for me.

Finally saw it. Really good video game nerd movie.

The guy that did it was Kano from Mortal Kombat. That's his signature finishing move.

I've seen it now 20-30 times with my kids. This might be one of my favorite movies in general of all time.

I get misty every time when Ralph recites the Villains anonymous motto at the end.
