I can tell those aren't current rankings (ie LT listed as "RB2")--are they last preseason's?
think that RB2 should be RB1 as in the first RB to be drafted in our league.thanks Jeff,

just confirmed what is was thinking all along.......I WIN

There's some risk here, although you might be able to cover it with your depth. Roddy was a steal and Mike Williams is a great bargain in the last round. Grade: B

Solid as KWII will be second ranked TE next year, but they have to be solid when you take a TE in the third round in this format...rarely a wise move IMHO.Grade: A

Not a good idea to take one kicker for several reasons.Grade: D

Overall you don't have any strengths other than TE. You do have a few weaknesses at PK, QB, RB Depth.

Overall Team Grade: C

Prediction: Eliminated Midseason

John Doe, my fellow Tiger fan, (pitcher & catchers report in like 2 weeks, btw!!!!) Interesting that you & I both had the #4 pick and decided to go westbrook.I love that pick and you have 1/2 of the cowboy running game, after that your R's are week.Your QB platoon should work just fine. Pennington/McNair are not sexy but work in a format like thisYour WR's are nice I assume you went RB/WR/WR. Like your top 5 Witten seemed to rebound with the switch to RomoOne D is not a good move though.Overall the weakness at Rb2 and only 1D scoring each week means this team survives awhile and gets bounced mid season

Although I like Kitna for some big games, I suspect he'll throw up a few stinkers too, which is why I wanted something steady at QB2. At the time, Rothlisberger seemed the best choice, but he's still real young and coming off of a bad season plagued with injuries. Batch seemed a reasonable (although debateable) investment. With Baker....I figured Gates would likely be one of my key players, and didn't want a total slug backing him up. TE's were getting thin, and I didn't like my chances of getting anything worthwhile if I waited any longer.Would have loved one more reciever, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect at least 2 of the 4 (Clayton/Wilford/Baskett/Toomer)to be serviceable. If Gates plays as expected, I might only need one of those to hit.

04.05 QB6 Marc Bulger StL

08.05 QB22 Rex Grossman Chi

19.12 QB42 Damon Huard KC

I’m happy overall with my QBs. Bulger is top 5 and finally played a full season. Let’s hope for the same in 2007. Grossman is still young and learning and if he can minimize the 5 TO games, he should be a serviceable QB2. Good thing I don’t have to choose when to start him. I would have liked to back him up with Griese but Huard could be a steal if he ends up a starter in KC, which I think is a good possibility. Looking back, I anticipated a QB run in the 4th and 5th (once again incorrectly in these SLs) and should have taken Heap. Grade B-

01.12 RB12 Rudi Johnson Cin

03.12 RB21 Ahman Green GB

05.12 RB33 Jerious Norwood Atl

20.05 RB75 Adrian Peterson Chi

Rudi is a consistent top 10 RB. I think Green stays with GB and hope they don’t draft a RB like Lynch. I gambled on Norwood over F. Taylor and it may be my most regretful pick if Petrino brings in a big back. Just felt there’s a lot more upside with Norwood. Wanted to draft Morency and Perry but weasel snaked me both times. Other RBs went earlier than I hoped and just never felt the value was there for RB4…until I took a chance on Peterson. If Jones leaves, Peterson could see some time with Benson, otherwise, it’s a zero most weeks. Grade C

09.12 WR50 Eddie Kennison KC

10.05 WR54 Jabar Gaffney Phi

11.12 WR69 Ted Ginn Jr FA

14.05 WR83 Joe Jurevicius Cle

Nothing flashy but WR is where I felt I consistently saw value. Old guys mixed in with some youth/potential. Harrison’s a stud plain and simple and I can expect another 80-1000-10 season. I got Galloway 20-35 picks later than the other WSLs; Kennison 15-50 picks later. Galloway and Kennison should give me some big games. Gaffney came out of nowhere in the playoffs and seemed to develop a nice rhythm with Brady once he picked up the offense. Hopefully, Ginn will land in a good spot. Jurevicius is a throw in and should provide a couple points each week. Would have liked to grab a WR7 but decided to grab a 3rd D/ST . Grade B-

07.12 TE15 Desmond Clark Chi

12.05 TE22 Alex Smith TB

Meh. Waited too long on TE1 and all 4 TEs I targeted for the next round were picked. Then waited one round too long on my TE2. Wanted Stevens or Miller and both got snagged. Definitely one of the weakest TE squads in the league. Need to hope for that magical Grossman-Clark hookup. Grade D

15.12 PK10 Jason Elam Den

Two kickers that should be good enough. Grade B

13.12 DEF9 Pittsburgh

16.05 DEF15 Carolina

18.05 DEF29 St. Louis

I like Pitt and Car and hopefully they rebound from subpar seasons last year. Instead of grabbing a 7th WR, I decided to go with a 3rd D/ST in STL…hoping to create a shortage at the position. Hoped that some of the 4 team after me (rad, OM, glumpy and duke) would have followed suit to force 4 teams to have only 1 D. Had to settle for only 2 teams to be short. Having 3 D/ST should provide me with some solid scores each week. Grade B+

There’s nothing overly impressive about this team but I feel it should be fairly consistent. I don’t foresee a lot of immunities but all I need to avoid is not being the lowest score, which I think can happen.

I'll do my best to build some good karma. This team is in for a long year. Drafting at the ends can be difficult. Anticipate the runs and you can have one of the better squads, fail to do that and it's a long...err...short year (speaking from experience here). Looks like you got caught a QB. Not really a huge problem as Brady alone should be servicable. I think Plummer will hook on somewhere. You know what I think of the Caddy pick....heartburn for me last year, better luck to you. Not a fan of rookie RBs early not knowing the destination or bye situation. They either split time early or fade down the stretch for the most part. 32 WR1s in the league and you got none of them. Heck, a case could be made that you only have one WR that will be on the field for half the game. If you believe in Caddy, you should have skipped Peterson and drafted a good WR there. I like LJ, but Graham could have been had later. FYI...I got Duckett in round 20. Your WRs will doom you.

I'd bet I'm fine at QB. I imagine some will have issue with Plummer but I think by August it'll seem I'm OK here. I'm surprised Bledsoe and Warner and Volek didn't get drafted. Thought someone would take a chance on one of them becoming a starter due to injury, or being sent to a new team etc.

Something off with Peterson #.My RBs rock. I like Edge and Caddy. I was shocked with all the RB love on this board that so many WRs went. That threw me. Peterson was risky but after that WR run, to ignore his value for the sake of drafting a WR there seemed foolish. The only logic I see in Turner still being there is everyone in this league thinks he's Charger in 07. I don't. Obviously there's a major difference in value there. I was running off a checklist hitting CTRL F and did a "doubletake" when I realized he was still available. If Duckett becomes Stacey Mack for some team, that's gravy.

What is with the order of players in this thread? It's not by pick, not alphabetical...I still think Jones is a very good player like most did last summer, he was just hurt and they didn't throw enough. I'm not worried with him.I don't think Meshawn retires, that's just him looking for attention like he always does. This is a sore point here and that's rough with 3 starting. Something has to come out of this group for me to do well. Curtis is a good possibility to be that person.I've had enough of waiting for Michael Clayton to regain his rookie form. I hope the Bucs have. Stovall has alot of talent to just be rotting on the bench.GB seemed to really like Koren I "had to" take that shot with my last pick.Givens is a big risk. FM's reaction of "is he even playing" sums it up well. I mean he has to comeback from his knee injury. I definitely should have taken him later. Outside of Jones, with Bennett being a free agent, the Titans don't seem to have anyone. While I have liked Roby and Roydell in spots they didn't get much use in 06 to make me think the Titans have big plans for them anymore. So it's obvious the WRs could crush me but I was looking at the other teams in WSL1 and here and...everyone is in that situation. Not everyone has as shakey WRs as me...no no, but in a 16 team league the way the good WRs went so quick it really seems like everyone is a WR injury away from having a not so good group.
05.15 TE11 L.J. Smith Phi/911.15 TE31 Daniel Graham NE/6
I really think Graham's a Jet in 07 and I hate that as a Pats fan. I was going to grab Dave Thomas last round or so.

I like each of these Ds and can imagine drafting them in future drafts. Reese has gotta get the G-men some secondary help but with those pass rushers they have, they could be a terrific FF D. Love that young Cowboys D and Phillips better not mess em' up. With a healthy Mathis and some nice young talent from the 06 draft, the Texans D was an easy pick here for me. Once I decided against a second K, it was a no brainer. I realize anything outside of Andre doesn't seem as such but....I'm pretty confident they'll be a decent FF D in 07. Maybe I'm just too big a fan of Ryans but if that's what he can do as a rook and has room to improve.....wow.Picking around the corner in a 14 or 16 team draft is tricky. In a league like this where it's so far away from the regular season that it's hard to get a feel for player's outlooks it's esp tricky. I think the middle people had it easier. They probably think the "corner" is more apt to start a run and would disagree.....just sayin'

I like LJ, but Graham could have been had later.
The second he signs with a new team he flies up the rankings in FF. Next to impossible to guess on when a good time to pick him is. I watched the "lesser" TEs go and it seemed OK. It was pretty well thought out. I'm not sure how it will work out of course but I had him picked before the draft began FWIW.

I decided to wait on drafting a QB1 and was one of the last to draft one. But I also compensated by taking by QB2 in the next round. Nothing to get excited about, but could turn out to be a good QBBC. Chad has been a decent QB (when healthy) and his ppg increased from 13.9 in the first half to 15.3 in the second half of last season. As he gets more comfortable in the offense he should become more consistent. If his arm falls off I have Clemens to pick up the slack. McNair is a vetern who is up and down. He no longer runs as much as he did in Tenn, but he can be counted on for around 3,000 yds and 15-18 TD. Grade C+

Westbrook finally played a full season last year. The big question is can he repeat that this year? If yes, then this could turn out to be a good selection, if no then I am in trouble. Jones split time with MBIII last year in Dallas. A new coach should bring forth a claear starter between the two backs. Big ? here. Houston was part of the NYJ RBBC last year. Mangini seemed to start the RB who was the better matchup each week. At the least he should see some goal line work. Wanted L. Washington, but Ruds took him two selections earlier. Morris is valuable as a backup should anything happen to Alexander. Shaun is another year older and one wonders what his desire is (he is not playing for a contract this year and his two best years were in contract years). He will only see significant work if Shaun goes down. Lundy is a shot in the dark. Who knows what is going on in Houston. Grade B-

The strength of this team. I decided to concentrate on my RB/WR corps and 5 of my first 6 picks were at these 2 posistions. Williams, Driver, and Moose are WR1 on their respective teams. Favre coming back was good news and helps Driver out. Another year learning Martz's system should help out Roy's numbers. Moose is a consistent WR who should put up decent numbers in Chi next year. Parker was the WR2 in SD last year (when healthy), will compete with Floyd for the starting spot opposite Jackson (assuming McCardell is not with the team next year). Wanted to pair M. Floyd with him but Floyd did not make it back to me in the last round. Lewis is hit or miss in Philly. Baker and Gonzales are rookies and their numbers will strongly depend on who drafts them. I like their upside at the spots I drafted them. Overall, out of these 7 I should get decent scores each week. Grade B.

TE

Jason Witten Dal/?

Owen Daniels Hou/?

Witten seemed to prosper when Dallas made the QB change last year. He should still see plenty of targets next year. He has been a consistent TE over the last 3 years. Skelator Jr. seemed to bring the Den offensive philosophy to Houston. TE is an important part of the offense, and Daniels had a decent rookie campaign. Regardless of who the QB is in Houston next year he should see his numbers improve. Grade B.

K

Josh Scobee Jac/?

Jay Feely NYG/9

These two should be able to hold on to their jobs.

DEF

Green Bay/?

Got shut out of my 2nd DST due to the squeeze.

The receiving corps seem to be the strength of this team. RB has to many question marks at this time to really get a handle on this posistion and QB leaves nothing to get excited about. I expect the team to have a low variation in weekly scores. Not a great team, but not a bad team.

First bit of good news for my squad, as Horn's release should help Henderson out. Probably even better news for Copper owners, IMO.

So far, this has been a great off season for you. Your team is quickly becoming a paper stud team at the moment.

I'll believe Plummer's retirement when it happens. I'll believe Plummer's retirement in September.

Actually navigating around the byes isn't that hard with the information available and the number of picks.

Where I find the biggest pitfall is the BQ. Most get 2 QB's and sometimes they end up on the same bye. For me I took McNabb/Jackson/Carr. Carr looks to be a back up and the other two have the same bye. My only hope is that it's week 5 and I might get "bye" with it.
