Yahoo Notes to Self (1 Viewer)

Am I the only one who used the 'notes to self'? I found it incredibly useful for jotting down potential pickups, ideas, listing out depth charts, etc.

If you miss it, let y! know: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/sports/fantasysports/football/general.html

Hello,

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Fantasy Sports.

I understand you have a question about the "Notes to Self" feature in

regards to Yahoo! Fantasy Football 2011. I can help provide some

information about this change.

In order to accommodate some of the features added to the game this

season, "Notes to Self" was removed from the team page. When our product

team investigated the use of this feature the numbers were extremely

low, but I can understand why you and some of our other users found it

helpful.

We're glad that you took the time to tell us what you'd like to see

added back in the future. I will make sure that your suggestion is

heard.

For future reference, as a way to provide feedback directly to the

Product Team, please feel free to submit your feedback at the URL below:

lol I actually agree and thought that notepad was one of the few improvements yahoo made to their product. Typically, they remove it when trying to "upgrade" their services. Taking away a functioning asset is a major no-no when doing an upgrade but yahoo makes this mistake a lot.

I didn't realize Yahoo offered that in the past. I think it's a good feature to have. It's something I requested MFL to add this last offseason (with no luck, yet).

I was also pretty disappointed to see it gone, especially considering how many ridiculous features Yahoo has (basically any of the garbage in the Research tab) that are completely useless.

As someone who has done some fantasy product management, I can definitely see both sides of this. I do get the convenience of it (I've used it before), but I bet over 95% never touch it. It's also a VERY easy feature for a user to handle on their own if they really want it, compared to other features.

I loved that thing -- took me a week of refreshes to finally accept it was gone.

I used to max out the char limit constantly.
