Friday: Andy Pettitte (2-2, 2.69 ERA) vs Oliver Perez (4-3, 3.00 ERA)

Saturday: Darrell Rasner (1-2, 3.28 ERA) vs Tom Glavine (4-1, 3.31 ERA)

Sunday: Tyler Clippard (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs John Maine (5-1, 2.15 ERA)

Alays a fun series for New Yorkers.

LOT of rain expected this weekend. Forecast calls for an inch of rain today, followed by rain Saturday & Sunday. Hopefully they'll get these games in.

In New York. No one outside of New York will even check the box scores of any games in this series unless they have some fantasy implications. Sorry guy, Yankees are old news and the Mets are the Mets.
Mets are the Mets? You mean the team currently with the best record in thr NL that came within 1 game of the World Series last year? Not sure I understand what you mean.

I mean the Mets aren't the Yankees as far as national exposure.

I honestly dont give a #### about this series. Maybe if the Yankees were better Id be more interested to see who was the better team. But clearly the Mets are the better team. This series is just as important as Yankees-Pirates. At this point the Yankees have to win a ton of games vs anybody they play.

Meet Joe Smith.

Omar stole Oliver Perez from the Pirates.

No big deal Yankee fans - only 10 games out now - first time since 1995.

Bring on the rookies - Rasner & The Yankee Clippard.

These things are cyclical. Every 20 years or so, the Mets are the better team than the Yanks.

Maybe I'm easily impressed but Tom Glavine being the all time leader in sacrifices by a pitcher is something of a unique stat. Pitchers are called on to bunt and move guys over while in the batters box and doing so benefits the pitcher himself. No wonder Glavine is one of the best pitchers of his era. He does all the little things that champions do. Pretty impressive guy and stat IMO.

I am off to Fenway. Sox lineup looks like they are mailing in tonight's game, but I will hold out hope for 11.5

Its amazing how things are completely opposite now. But like I said earlier, there isnt much juice in this series to me anymore.

Fri- Clemens vs Perez

Sat- Clippard vs Glavine

Sun- Wang vs Hernandez

I say Yanks take 2 of 3.

Turn on the radio and there's plenty of juice - Met fans sound like someone pissed in their lemonaide.

WTF? The Yankees aren't on FOX on Saturday?Must be a misprint...
Tell me about it. What are you going to watch now?
:lmao: Like I would watch this game...
Of course you would, it's great drama, tons of energy both on the field and in the stands. It's the exact reason we have Interleague play in the first place.
Maybe, but watching a game with one New York team is bad enough, let alone two...

you are such a BIG baseball fan, you'll be watching...it's like when I stay up late to watch the Dodgers/Giants. It's great baseball theater.

I am a big baseball fan, but I won't watch a game involving two teams that I totally dislike... Plus it is going to be mid-80s on Saturday, so I won't be wasting it wanting to watch the Yankees-Mets...But since it isn't on, I don't have to worry about it...
