You Got a No-No Goin (1 Viewer)

He wouldn't have wanted a 15 strikeout perfect game. Good work, Hanley. <_<

And this isn't like no-hitting the Padres. Colorado is 2nd-best in all of MLB in team batting.
i'm pretty certain that they have different home & road splits. i've heard things......

Way to kill the magical story.

Nick "Cy" Martinez, perfect through 5 in Anaheim.

This is not a joke.

ETA: Nevermind. Hank took care of bidness.

Question: What's the closest you've come to seeing a no-hitter (MLB game) in person , if you haven't seen one?

I was at a game in Minnesota four years ago when Kevin Slowey made his first start off the DL and had one through seven. But he was over 100 pitches, so Gardenhire pulled him and Jon Rauch gave it up with one out in the eighth.

Aside from the fact that I was supposed to be at Gooden, Wells, AND Cone's? :wall:

I go to about 20 games a year since 2001 but never really came very close in person. I was at a game Kuroda pitched against the Mets a few years back that was broken up by Omar Quintanilla through 5.2 IP. Was there last Friday when Kuroda got through 5 against the O's. Nothing else I can think off of the top of my head.

I was at David Cone's perfecto. One of the best days of my life!

Gooden

Mom and Dad: "Hey we got an extra ticket for tonight's game, so-and-so can't make it. You wanna go?"
Me: "Nah I'm not gonna miss Knicks/Bulls playoffs for a regular season Yankee game"

Wells

Me: "Hey guys I can't make the game Sunday, my cousin is graduating college and the party is right after. Can we go Tuesday instead?"
All: "Sure" (at least that was also memorable, the Tino/Benitez/Strawberry/Graeme Lloyd fight game against the O's)

Cone

This was in college so I used to sleep in crazy late on weekends, plus I was at a wedding the night before. Set my alarm for 10:00........pm. Slept right through, woke up at 12:30, figured oh well no big deal I'll just watch on tv. Oops.
