-- Cowboys Considering Jeff George --

WTEM reports the Dallas Cowboys may bring in veteran QB Jeff George for a look.

LMAO!!! I guess desperate times call for desperate measures, but why Jeff George's name keeps popping up every year is beyond me. It's possible that half the guys on this board could do a beter job than George at this point. Okay, not half...more like 1 to 5 of you.

Times are tough in ol Texas these days.

They just want his arm. They'll take George's arm, Bollinger's legs, and Johnson's brain and put them all into one QB.

Week 10 is a bye for them, so why bring anyone in if Romo is going to return week 11 like expected. This to me calls Romo's week 11 return into doubt.

maybe in case Romo gets hurt again...?...Dallas probably thinks they still have enough talent to maybe sneak in the playoffs if they were to lose Romo again, so they need somebody that can chuck it in case he goes down again.........not saying that should be George, but they definatley don't like what they currently have....

:lmao:They're so far into the season that I just don't see how you can get a new QB up to speed, even (especially?) for the postseason. But maybe you're right - there's plenty of reason to be disgusted with Johnson and Bollinger.

Kelly Holcomb is still out there isn't he? He's gotta be a better pickup than Jeff George. Or Jake Plummer?

The Cowboys should have realized after these last few weeks they overestimated their backup QBs and need to draft a solid QB in next year's draft, maybe the 3-5th round range.

WHOA!Hold on there folks. LOL!!

Talk about taking something and running with it. Here goes.

Jeff George calls Michael Irvin today. Irvin decides to bring him on his radio show, an ESPN affiliate here in Dallas. George wants to express his desire to play and his belief he can help the Cowboys, if needed, and just wanted an opportunity. (By the way, George met with Herm Edwards on October 23rd expressing his interest in joining the Chiefs.)

Lo and behold, the ESPN affiliate in the Washington D.C. area, WTEM, picks it up and wants to run with it. Gee, I wonder why.

And here we go, the shark pool wants to run with it as well.

Jeff George is not coming to Dallas. Get a grip. Just another "blown out of proportion" Cowboys thread. Move along...LOL!

Here's the interview-
