Starts the season and plays below expectations. After reading this thread again, a few observations:1) Hardly anyone mentions Jamal Lewis. This guy REALLY flew under the radar.2) NO love for Priest Holmes. And I suspect next year will be no different. The guy isn't flashy and doesn't even look that good during games. but he has a nose for the end zone like Emmitt Smith in his heyday. The thing that makes Priest so good is his patience and his vision, and that is tough to see when watching games (He ends up looking lucky - or prople think it's the O-Line).3) The herd mentality always prevails. Just look at the thread. Everyone talks about the same people and chimes in with their opinions.4) The NFL is very tough to predict.

Read now, weep (or laugh) in 2/2004:AFC East: Pats, Bills and Jets struggle to reach .500. Pats soft running game and smurf WR's contribute to Brady having a major drop in production. Defense is on the field way too much, and Harrison and Milloy get exposed for being unable to adequetly defend the pass.
