Hearst's run was excellent, but also overrated. Best ever? Puh-leez.Franco's was great as far as I was rooting for PIT and it was dramatic, but it was also mostly luck.Barry Sanders and Earl Campbell probably have at least 3 or 4 of my Top 5. Two that belong to Campbell demonstrate why he could have easily been the best ever if not for lack of a team around him and injuries - yeah I guess you could say that about others, but he was arguably the best RB talent I ever saw, with maybe Payton as the lone exception. Anyway, first was where he ran head on into a guy (OK I think it was "only" a safety) and although the guy had the momentum, Earl just knocked him back and down from sheer power. The 2d was where he was just flying down the right sideline, shirt half torn off, broke away from I don't know who all.Steve Young's run vs Vikes definitely up there and #1 among QBs.Payton of course had several. One you see on highlights a lot was vs KC, although not sure if it was a TD.OJ, piece of human ---- that he is, had 1 or 2 that deserve a mention. Sayers I'm sure had some, just not familiar enough w/emEDIT: at first I thought this was "greatest run ever." OK any TD....Admittedly biased but take your pic from any of Joe Washington's TDs with the Colts when they played NE on a rainy MNF game, '78 I think. Ran, returned, even passed a TD to almost single-handedly beat em. Probably the return (90 yds I think) was the most impressive. Also easily the greatest 1-man performance ever.Clark's "the catch" ranks up there. Not just the drama...it was a poor pass by Montana that he made an excellent catch on.Offhand can't believe I can't think of more pass TDs.....
