Your NFL team or your Fantasy team? (1 Viewer)

I ALWAYS root for The Vikings..

But right now, they are better off losing and getting a higher draft slot for next year as they are not going any where this season..Yet I still want to see them win..

So at this particular moment, if I had to choose this Sunday who I'd want to win.. Vikings or my Playoff team I'd say my Playoff team.

Earlier this season and any other season I'd rather go 0-5(Usally have 5 teams) each week and see the Vikings win.

Man, I think it's kind of sick how many responses are for the FF team instead of your favorite team.

No matter what happens to my fantasy team, I'll always be more concerned with my home team. I love the Colts, I loved them when they were going 3-13. I played FF then too. No way is my FF team more important.

I think a lot of fathers and grandfathers would be rolling in their graves after reading this thread?!

For those of you saying $> joy of favorite team winning, I say, get a job! If you're doing this hobby as a living, you need help! To think your rent is being paid by FF winnings is silly.

It reminds me of a time when I came across a group of poor women taking a bus ride to a casino. I overheard their conversation and one woman said to the other, "I need to win today girl, so I can get my baby some new shoes."

Now that is sick! This is a hobby, not a job.

And, yes, I play high stakes FF, before you flame me.

so do i. which is why i'll take a few grand over a meaningless Giants win should they be locked in/out of the playoffs. however, as the Giants are in the thick of it now, they get my love until they inevitably blow it.here's a question. you have Tomlinson, lets say. Chargers play the Colts. do you sit LT2?

Why would I sit LT2 unless I'm the coach of the Colts? I cannot control what happens with the real game. I can affect my FF team however. I would play LT2 and cheer for my Colts to stop him!Ultimately, I wouldn't mind if the Colts won 37-34 and LT2 had 4 TDs. But if the Colts lost and I won, I would still be saddened.

I'm a season ticket holder. I have a vested interest in my enjoyment of the Colts games.

This is the difference between me and most posters on here.

Yes. explain to me why people get so worked up over a Pro Team or college team that they have absolutely no affiliation with. I played sports into my early 30's and was extremely competitive but I can never understand getting worked up into a lather over a game that I am not personally connected to. I've been to every professional team sport you can name and enjoy the hell out of them but at the end of the day it is just entertainment. There is absolutely no reason to jump out of your seat, scream, holler and carry on. I'm in my 40's now maybe that has something to do with it.
