They are both really good. Animal Collective is better at delivering some hooks whereas Panda Bear just sprawls in a way I also find very intriguing and entertaining. Person Pitch is one of my favorite albums whereas My girls from Merriweather Post Pavilion is probably my favorite song of either band. Hard to go wrong here GBI never got into Animal Collective, actually. That's probably a failing on my end and I haven't given them enough of a chance.
eta* And I know Panda is part of the collective. I just like Noah Lennox's stuff better.
Yeah, I like My Girls. I'm currently listening to Merriweather Post Pavilion deciding whether or not to get it on vinyl. I just ordered a sealed copy of the Tomboy vinyl box set from eBay. She might actually like Comfy In Nautica. It's a beautiful song, IMO.Great, now I have drunkenly queued up Person Pitch. Good thing my wife loves me.
Comfy in Nautica is great. It was a mainstay of my college radio DJ career. And it is coming up soon....Yeah, I like My Girls. How's the whole "getting dave Grohl to hang out with us for Worm's 40th" thing coming along?
Once Foos saves Brooke Shields from drowning he should have plenty of cash for itHow's the whole "getting dave Grohl to hang out with us for Worm's 40th" thing coming along?
12 hours? This is what I have actually done before when I was flying to China. I would take the book along with 2 valium. Get about 2 chapters in and sleep the rest of the way.You choose one from each option to take with you:
1. A book to read
2. One artist's music to listen to
3. One celebrity/famous person to sit beside you for conversation.
What/who do you pick?
I talked to him the other day and it's going to be difficult. He needs to be in Budapest on the 13th for a show. He was super bummed. How's the whole "getting dave Grohl to hang out with us for Worm's 40th" thing coming along?
This. So much this. If you haven't already, check the guy's IG. You can thank me later.Book: Doesn't Matter
Music: Doesn't Matter
Person: Dan Bilzerian–because if I'm next to him, it'll be on a private plane and there will be full of beautiful, 1/2 naked women all around us. So who needs a book or music. As a matter of fact, 12 hours? Can we turn right around and go back after we land?
These are great choices, IMO, Arizona Ron.2. Bob Dylan
3. Elon Musk
Yeah, same here, I was in high school so it's been over 30 years since I read those books. I'll be honest, I don't recall much except that I enjoyed them a lot. Same with the Hitchhiker's Guide series - I read those in HS as well. I don't recall many specifics, I just recall really enjoying the books a lot. I need to just carve out some time to re-read those.loved these as a kid
pulled a couple of these from my basement not so many years ago...... found that i've grown out of them. a bit disappointing but they were great when i was 11.Yeah, same here, I was in high school so it's been over 30 years since I read those books.
