I think you did well there. Nobody in this class is close to Larry Fitzgerald even as he approaches 30. Most of these guys have fewer years left in their careers than he does. I think Ball would have been worthy of the 1.1 so it's basically like you spent the 1.4 and 3.1 (in a weak draft class) on Larry. To get Stacy in the 2.1 spot was nice as well and I have him right now as a tossup with Michael so I can't fault you either way there. Gillislee later on is a nice addition as well as I see him as becoming the number 2 in Miami fairly quickly. In one of my dynasty leagues, I traded for an extra first rounder for this year's class, and it ended up being 1.4. I also finished in the basement in this league, so of the first 13 picks I owned the 1.1, 1.4, and 2.1 picks. I also only had Arian Foster at RB, so my course was determined for me as to my direction in the draft.
Of the top-4 RB prospects (Bell, Ball, Lacy, and Bernard), I did not really mind which I ended up with, so I decided to dangle the 1.1 pick out there to see what I could get. I ended up trading the 1.1 and 3.1 picks for Larry Fitzgerald. I then took Montee Ball at 1.4. At 2.1, I still needed another RB prospect, and both Michael and Zac Stacy were left on the board. I went with the immediate starting possibilities of Stacy over the skill advantage that Michael offered. I then also took Gillislee at 5.1.
If Stacy turns out as well as I am hearing, then taking him at 2.1 will be huge for me. If he never amounts to anything, then it would definitely be considered a wasted pick. At least he has a shot.
You mitigated the risk of drafting Stacy nicely here. Much better than the poster above who spent the 1.5 on him.
