Zeke Trade Value (1 Viewer)

For all you Zeke owners still holding who are struggling for a playoff spot is it time to dangle the Zeke chip out to the top seeds?

I'm desperate after a 3 pt loss (Thanks Cam you jerk) at 5-5. I can't look more than one week ahead so I'm looking to improve matchups any way I can.

For example, the #1 seed in one division is locked in at 8-2. He can wait out Zeke.

What are people getting for him right now? Just something startable above a waiver wire pickup?

I'm actually considering a Zeke for JAX D trade since their next three matchups are @CLE, @AZ, Indy -- all three of those matchups are sweet and could make a difference.

If you're giving in to get Ws, what are you getting back?

Redraft I presume?

My redraft trade deadline already passed. But you'll get maybe 2 games at most from Zeke, if you win? I don't think I'd trade him for a defense but for a wr2 type possibly.

In dynasty he's still a top 5 player, reduce it a bit for current season and it still takes a top 12 guy.

He's set to return Week 16. It's a home game against Seattle, and the FF Super Bowl for most leagues. I can't imagine there's much of a market for him.

I've been getting offers.  Nothing good though.  I'm likely in the playoffs though and need to win 2 games to get to use Zeke.

Our points champion is crowned after Week 16 as well so, I'm holding him even if I don't get to the finals and playing him Week 16 if I'm in contention there.

I own both, and at this point I value the JAX D quite a bit more than I value Zeke right now. JAX D is the #1 defense with arguably the best rest of season schedule. That's a positional advantage I wouldn't give up for just one game (Week 16) of Zeke against a tough Seattle D.

Looking around the league, I wouldn't expect my league mates to respect a trade offer of my Zeke for their whatever if it involved anything more than a severely under-performing flex caliber player, a handcuff or another lottery ticket player. A solid bench contributor, more or less. You might be able to get a player like Forte, under the guise of his injury, or CJ Anderson who is playing like hot butt soup. Corey Davis maybe, if an owner was hoping for more since his return from injury, but that feels like a long shot. Maybe Rawls or Blount. Maybe someone like Dede Westbrook.

People are questioning if Zeke should be dropped, so I think that's generally the caliber of player you'll have to target. One near the end of your cohorts bench that they've probably also considered dropping at some point, but have held onto them anyways for whatever reason.

Yes, this is redraft.

This confirms that it wouldn't be crazy for me...at 5-5...to trade for the JAX D.

The appeal is earlier than week 16 so there's a chance somebody has him for more than just week 16.

At this point, I can't think about having him in week 14 or 16. I need to make the playoffs. A #1 or #2 seed team that has that seed locked up only has to win one playoff game to then use Zeke in the championship game. That's a good gamble and potential championship winning move...for a defense.

I'm in a 1-keeper league, that has 2-year limits on keeper eligibility.  I drafted Zeke this year, so he is 'keepable' for the next 2.  I traded him for Mike Evans last weekend-the Evans owner was borderline to make the playoffs but clearly not a powerhouse team; very slim chance at winning any playoff games if he even made it.  Convinced him to look to the future.

FWIW, I initially tried to do this with the Michael Thomas owner as I never thought I had a chance with the Evans owner.  The Thomas' owner blew me off completely.

True, it wouldn't be crazy for you, but I doubt the JAX owner considers it. That's all I was saying. Trading away a solid positional advantage for a player he'll only get one week out of, in a dicey match-up? He'd be a fool to do it. No harm in asking though I guess, I just know I'd get laughed out of the room and it wouldn't be worth my time.

Zeke's trade value right now is a barely rosterable player, not a starter, much less the points leader at any position. That's all I was getting at.

Edit: Clearly different for dynasty and keeper leagues though

Our deadline passed already.  I offered the Zeke owner Emmanuel Sanders straight up for him and he turned it down (while starting garbage at WR3).  At the time he was 5-4 (now 5-5) and a borderline playoff team.  I was 8-2 with a pretty deep roster so I felt I could make a move for championship game upside if I got there.

In redraft can't imagine anyone giving up much of anything.

In dynasty his value hasn't really changed.  Still #1 overall player, maybe not by a landslide anymore though.

Not many are talking about this but I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes eligible to play Week 14-16 while that's happening, with the way this crazy back and forth has been going.

I’m sitting at 8-2 trying to win my division which would give me a bye-week in week 14. I’m holding to make it to week 16 in-which he’ll have fresh legs and Seattle is not what they used to be.

The JAX owner is thinking about it.

His RBs are awful. Darkwa and D. Lewis. He knows he needs RB help come week 15.

I'm throwing in the PIT D as well. Tempted to even throw in A. Morris at this point as well. JAX D has a bunch of cupcakes and the D position would be a position of advantage the next three weeks where I wouldn't have to worry about it.

Well, the other top seed is willing to give up their BALT D for Zeke.

This week @GB and next week vs HOU. Good matchups.

It kills me to consider this, but with the trade deadline next week and a need to secure wins at 5-5 to make the playoffs desperate times call for desperate measures.

Am I foolish to consider this? Damn. Just looking at this offer depresses me.

Not foolish at all. You can't use Zeke in the championship game if you don't get there.

BALT D is just a step down from JAX in terms of ROS expectations, so they would be a good get. That being said, defenses for fantasy purposes are always a crapshoot, even for good defenses, so it's definitely a roll of the dice. I'd probably prefer Zeke, personally, but if i were a bubble team and defense was a position of weakness for me, I'd strongly consider it. Definitely not a fool for considering it though.

BALT D is a step down though. A little concerning. JAX was attractive...more or less a slam dunk at the position. BALT, while universally considered #2 at D, carries some risk (i.e. falling behind offensively).

I also picked up the KC (@NYG) and AZ (@HOU) Ds this week. KC happens to play BUF next week at home against a rookie QB.

Torn.

And just looking at Zeke for a D trade continues to depress me.

Anyone getting anything better out there? Damn.

Except you can now shake him loose from a contender where you couldn't previously.  I am considering a trade offer of Zeke for Hunt and Crabtree.  I don't think he's making that offer if Elliott is playing this year.  I'm also a contender and this would be a big hit to my lineup.  If Elliott were playing that's a snap accept for me.

Welp...appeal dropped.

Zeke isn't coming back till week 16.

Think I'm accepting that trade for the Ravens D now.

I wish someone would offer me that in my Dyno league.
