So they agreed to not call Eric the Midget, "Eric the Midget", to get him to do the IQ results?wonder how long that will last.
yeah, I thought they were actually done with him this time. He is such a doosh
I don't enjoy his stuff on the show at all, i was hoping they were really done with him.
He's a #####, but I like when he's on. It was better when Artie was on the show because he would antagonize ETM. Now its just up to Fred to annoy him.

Just for this phone call. He had a list of 6 demands. They agreed to meet 4 of them.
now that is funny (and the best part of that little ####).What were they?
1. Gary has to tell him about the acting opportunity.2. They can't call him Eric the Midget during the call.

3. They can't have anyone call in and call him Eric the Midget.

4. He wants to get paid (Howard relented and gave him $711).

I can't remember the other two.

RE: #4Howard only relented after Eric agreed to release that demand. He was willing to pay Eric, but he wanted Eric to say he'd do it for 0.0 dollars and then they 'found' the 7-11 money

Can't talk about him at all ever again was one. Not sure about the other. What was the acting oppurtunity, I turned it off after the results

I used to love when ETM would try to sputter out a sentence, and Artie would interrupt and say "Alright man, take it easy." "Talk to you later." :goodposting:

Random Twitter rumor, take it for what that's worth:

paulscheer Paul Scheer Rumor of the Day: Howard Stern is on the Verge of signing a $600 Million 3yr Deal with Apple to host Internet/TV/iTunes Broadcast.

If this happens, it will effectively end my 25 year relationship with the Stern show, as well as likely my 6 year relationship with Sirius.

:goodposting: Can you subscribe to itunes without having an apple device? I know the espn podcast I subscribe to for free via some rss itunes link but if it's Apple exclusive then I guess I'm doneHow much would they charge .99 an episode?

Why?
I like Sirius' other programming, but I can't justify paying $17 a month for it. I'll probably call to cancel and if they give me a cut-rate deal to keep my subscription, I will. Otherwise, it's not worth $17/mo for Mad Dog, NFL Radio, Pearl Jam radio, and Liquid Metal. And I listen to Stern in the car to/from work. Always have, always will. I don't have the spare time to listen to a podcast or something after work on an MP3 player. If I can't get it in my car, I won't have time to listen. It's not a statement against Apple or a protest or anything, it's an issue of practicality. Maybe when I buy a new car that has a USB port, I can download the podcasts and listen to them in the car, but for now it's not going to happen.

Either way, he has to be available via some download function. ####in ridiculous that it's almost 2011 and you can't hear this guy's show over your iPhone/mp3 player, without illegally downloading it.

that is the only way I will continue on with it. And adding a daily download to my life routine isn't all that appealing.

I don't know, because I don't buy music/podcasts from Apple. That's what The Pirate Bay is for.

It really isn't. I know people will say it's ridiculous, but I can't picture getting ready for work every morning and adding "setting podcast to download" to my routine, then bringing it to the car and hooking it up, fast forwarding around, trying to determine which 60 minutes of the show I want to listen to, etc. In a way, it would be cool because you could fast forward through Eric the Midget or Joan Rivers for the 19th time in 3 months and I could get to hear the entirety of interviews I often catch in bits and pieces these days, but I don't imagine I'd do it that much. I'd probably just go back to listening to CDs or sports talk radio like I used to.

Before we go off half-penised here, though, we have no idea if this guy has any clue what he's talking about. A google search shows the only "media outlet" that's picked up on this is shabooty.com - so if it's true, they have scooped the internet.

So I ask again, but I'll rephrase, can you subscribe to itunes but listen on a non apple device? That was my origianl question, I see why you were confused.

I agree, I subscribe to many podcast through my phone and just listen from there OTA, in my car and in the office. Just wondering if I can do it with an apple "only" podcast. Not going crazy yet but am calling to stop my auto renewal

I was a loyal Stern fan for many years incl. his whole time with Sirius. Five months ago, I got a new car without satellite radio and went the podcast route with much skepticism. I have to say, I really like the podcast route. There was a short time there where the hooking up the ipod thing got old, but I'm over that. It's a good thing and I don't feel like I miss anything by listening to a 2 day old broadcast.

Is plugging your iPod into your computer and hitting a couple buttons every day really that burdensome?

How fat are all of you?
