***2020 Democrat Primary/Caucus Thread*** Biden Is Your Demoractic Nominee (2 Viewers)

Warren almost sounds like she's dropping out.  She's giving the unity speech.
From Warren's speech...may be a potential harbinger of a future endorsement.

“Amy and I are the only candidates in this race who are not either billionaires or supported by Super PACs,” Warren said of she and Klobuchar.

I said before but if Warren drops out and Bloomberg swoops in then that's a scenario that is really good for Bernie.  If it gets to the convention and Bernie has like 35% of the delegates and Pete, Amy and Bloomberg are at like 20% each it may be party suicide for Bernie to not get the nomination.  Hopefully more nominees follow Warren's lead and push for unity.

Amazing that you're talking about four candidates with delegates and none of them are Biden.

Think she'd have to give that endorsement very soon to make a consequential impact on Super Tuesday.

It may not have to be a formal endorsement...just more of this.

"And I also want to congratulate my friend and colleague Amy Klobuchar for showing just how wrong the pundits can be when they count a woman out," Warren said to applause.

From Mayor Pete:

.

@AndrewYang  started out unknown, but went on to make a big impact with his campaign built on preparing for America’s future. Andrew, we’ll miss you and the #YangGang on the trail, but I can’t wait to work together to help prepare America for the challenges ahead.
Bernie Sanders @BernieSanders ·1m

Thank you @AndrewYang for running an issue-focused campaign and working to bring new voters into the political process. I look forward to working together to defeat the corruption and bigotry of Donald Trump.

This. Please.
The biggest question would be support from black voters. South Carolina will give us a bit of a clue how much their early success will help them but I don’t think we’ll get a full picture until Biden is gone. I really think that combo would be tough for Trump to beat.

When was the last time two primary opponents end up on the same ticket?

We haven't had a good South Carolina poll since January 9. Last good Nevada poll was January 14. After producing a million New Hampshire polls this last week, hopefully the pollsters are freed up to tackle those two states now.

They seem redundant. I think both would be better served with a more complimentary running mate...but first one of them has to over take Bernie.

And that's also why I think it may be a mistake for the GOP to push Bernie - I could see folks being just as surprised about President Sanders as folks were about waking up to a President Trump.

One of the CNN folks pointed out that if you just listed the things Bernie has going for him that if it were any other candidate the DNC would declare the race over.  Does incredible with young people, popular with minorities and has an unbelievable ground game and small donors.
Interesting because the knock against him against Clinton was he did poorly with minorities. Which is dumb given his civil rights activism in his youth.

If she were to endorse Klobuchar and not Bernie, we better hope Bernie doesn’t win the nomination. Imagine Trump being able to rip Bernie as being so extreme that even another progressive was unwilling to endorse him. It would fall right in line with a campaign attack of fearing the socialist and probably would work.

Beyond that, they would be terrific governing.

Amy just said it's not about who's got the biggest bank account  :oldunsure:

From where I'm standing it looks like for Tom Perez, it's about the only thing that does...

Klobuchar has a sharp campaign. Been on in primetime both of these nights. Beginning to think the "she knows how to win" is an honest-to-goodness assessment of Amy.

How long are they going to give for Amy's speech? She's been talking on CNN for a long time now. Color me skeptical that they'll carry Bernie's entire speech.

-just finally cut her off
