Genrepalooza Presents: FG Radio - Tons of Lithium but very little Chill (4 Viewers)

That's the album where they're at the apex of their Springsteen worship (which is saying something). It might be my favourite of theirs (though nothing tops Side A of Hot Fuss)
Oh yeah, I remember. That's why it's taken so long to listen to it. It's pretty darn good, actually. I like the singles off of Hot Fuss, but this rocks along pretty decently, too.

I know exactly what you mean -- and would propose a similar-in-theme Summer channel.
I thought of that too, but we did a whole Summermix draft years ago.   Probably been a decade, and we didn't have Spotify then (I still have a couple mixes in my car on CD), so I am sure that would be good too.

How many of us were in that draft? (I wasn't.) And how many of us who were remember it? 😆

Step right up, and step right up
Just like a ballerina
Stepping lightly
Alright, well it's getting late
Yes it is, yes it is

And this time I forget to slip into your slumber
The light is on the left side of your head
And I'm standing in your doorway
And I'm mumbling and I can't remember the last thing that ran through my head

Here come a man, here come a man and he say, he say the show must go on
So all you gotta do
Is ring the bell

Round 144 The Joint

I'll roach out this joint

Bob Marley-Buffalo Soldier
If anyone likes reggae, Steve McQueen (not that one) has a series of 5 movies on Prime that are all about the West Indies community in London’s during the 60s-80s with much of it built around reggae. The 2nd movie Lovers Rock is especially music centric and fantastic. There’s not much plot, it’s about a house party  from start to finish.

I'm sitting in back, but simey will be in front due to the 9s.
That's right, and being in the front means I will have access to the radio dials, and if I get tired of the road trip playlist after a bit, I might just switch it to bluegrass!  If we are in Wilma the wagon, I hope you 9s in the very back don't mind a little floatiness. You might want to bring some Dramamine with ya.  :drive:

Going to make a conscious effort to sit down with each playlist as they get retired.   Today I started on the Classic Rewind.  So far it was a great mix of stuff I know/love and some new tracks.   The few the stood out so far that were new to me were:

1.  Plant - In the Mood

2.  707 - I Could Be Good For You

3.  The Rockets - Takin' it Back

(I didn't look to see who took these, so I didn't @ them)

I also realize that I don't listen to enough Styx and Yes.     Hopefully I can finish the playlist tonight when I get home.
