Well we certainly shouldn't start there now. How about, DEEP TRACKSI think it started with Holly
Yeah I tend to think with vocals that pure, you don't too much clutterAaron's vocal on With God On Our Side is beautiful but the reverb and atmospheric synths are wrong.
I listened through to the end of the album and I was being too negative before. It's probably not my Neville Brothers album of choice but it's a solid album and it was great that it helped them to reach a wider audience.Yeah I tend to think with vocals that pure, you don't too much clutter
ETA not the song I was thinking of, that song actually isn't cluttered. Others there are.
Slit Skirts - Pete Townshend - Deep TracksBonus Round is available if anyone wants to draft from DEEP TRACKS
I feel the same way about Jeff Lynne. Cool to hear at first, but after a while it became overwhelming.I thought Daniel Lanois' production was cool at the time but now I find some of his work from that period inserts itself between the music and the listener.

It's also really different song to song. I maybe wasn't paying close enough attention when I listened at work today.I listened through to the end of the album and I was being too negative before. It's probably not my Neville Brothers album of choice but it's a solid album and it was great that it helped them to reach a wider audience.

One of my all time favorites
I love Paul Desmond's sound. He composed the song.
It is crazy to me how many followers the orange man has, and the crazy #### they believe. If this exercise was inspired by the new president, it should be called Sane People Run the Asylum Night.

I didn't know that. There can't be many left from that age of Jazz. Desmond died of lung cancer in his early 50s. So many of the horn players were heavy smokers back then, but they could blow beautifully with their instruments.Eugene Wright, the bass player in the Brubeck Quartet died at the end of 2020
Sonny Rollins and Roy Haynes are two who come to mind.I didn't know that. There can't be many left from that age of Jazz. Desmond died of lung cancer in his early 50s. So many of the horn players were heavy smokers back then, but they could blow beautifully into their instruments.
