Genrepalooza Presents: FG Radio - Tons of Lithium but very little Chill (1 Viewer)

Yeah I tend to think with vocals that pure, you don't too much clutter 

ETA not the song I was thinking of, that song actually isn't cluttered. Others there are. 
I listened through to the end of the album and I was being too negative before.  It's probably not my Neville Brothers album of choice but it's a solid album and it was great that it helped them to reach a wider audience.

Eugene Wright, the bass player in the Brubeck Quartet died at the end of 2020
I didn't know that. There can't be many left from that age of Jazz. Desmond died of lung cancer in his early 50s. So many of the horn players were heavy smokers back then, but they could blow beautifully with their instruments.

Sonny Rollins and Roy Haynes are two who come to mind.

Guys like Herbie and Ron Carter are old but they came up later
