I'm at the beach again.  I seem to spend a lot of time here for someone who doesn't like water.  We had a cool beachy winter storm last night, and then today has been sunny and lovely.  So relaxing.  I'm with two friends, and basically we just eat and drink, get in the hot tub, eat and drink, walk on the beach, eat and drink, etc.
I am kind of the same way. I love being near the water but not in it.

If anyone ever watched the show Taxi, you may remember an episode of Reverend Jim home schooling a runaway:

Jim: Next, morality.

It's your parents anniversary. Your mother sends you with $15 to get her dress
at the tailor's.

(clears throat)

On your way there,a guy offers to sell you the last available ticket to a monster rock concert.

The price is exactly $15.

What do ya do?

Kid: Well...

Jim: Backstage passes included.

Kid: That's easy. It's not my money. I'd get my mother's dress.

Jim: It was The Kinks.

Uh, is that some reefer by the wine glass?
Oh yeah.  These are the two I mentioned a week or so ago whom I asked what they wanted to eat here and they named all the foods.  They are constantly high.  And that's vodka in the wine glasses.  (I'm having wine in mine, though.)

ETA:  I'm posting this right now while they're out smoking again.

Oh but I am definitely cool with a hot tub or pool...just less into the undomesticated waters
I like pools, but in the undomesticated waters I'm afraid that a fish will rub up against me.  Hot tubs I won't do because they're too...hot.

We talking a fear of sharks here, or just any squishy swimming thing?

I hear you.   A big reason I didn't go in lakes around here growing up.  Between that and nasty slimy rocks and stuff to step on.
When I was maybe 4 or so a huge hunk of a mutilated fish came in on a big Atlantic wave and basically hit me in the back of the head. It freaked me out and I've never been too cool with getting into oceans, lakes, rivers, since.

I have gotten to the point where I am ready to take the heat for not having a main couple of movies in my top 100s.   I enjoyed doing the 00s and first half of 2010s list, and was curious what I would come up with if I had to make a list.
I think I might do a crime movie one eventually. I need to see a few movies but I am close to it.

@Ilov80s -i'm loading up the library queue to catch up on 90s movies that I haven't seen.

(warming up for a possible 90s movies countdown).
I watched The Net a couple of weeks ago after reading an interview where Carl Reiner said it was one of his favorite films. It was well written and entertaining but I think Reiner just had the hots for Sandra Bullock.

The mid-90s technology is pretty interesting in and of itself. And Dennis Miller dies in it. /spoiler

Holy ####.  Yeah, this.

I figured RW would be throwing in a Maiden pick.  #### Anthrax - Maiden needs to be in that mix of the big 4 (I get it, people were talking about speed/thrash metal, and that's not what Maiden was).   I will take something by metal's red headed step child.

KP'S BONEYARD

219.XX:  MEGADETH - HOLY WARS..... THE PUNISHMENT DUE

Link

I was talking about the solos, and just love what they did with this song, with the speed and tone changes building up to that 40 sec solo starting around the 5min mark.    :headbang:
