Biological male wins NV beauty pageant (1 Viewer)

There's been a lot of good discussion about males (who identify as female) competing against women. This topic is very similar but with a big difference imho. A biological male competing against women in sports may get an advantage. But it seems to me that in a beauty pageant, the biological male doesn't have a competitive advantage, and possibly may be at a disadvantage.

Thoughts?

 
I'm not going to question your (recent?) interest in transgender stories, but I would respectfully suggest that perhaps it would be a better fit for the forum if you cataloged them in a single, Official All-Purpose Norville Barnes Transgender And Related Stories Thread. 👍

 
I hate to say this, but good.  I mean, lots of women are leading the charge on this in defense of transgenders so they're getting exactly what they're asking for.  :shrug:

Pretty soon, ALL women's competitions will be dominated by biological males.

All it takes is one or two transgenders to dominate.  The entire sport doesn't need to be made up of them.  They'll be claiming all of the top spots, though.

Besides, we were told it was unlikely that transgenders would be allowed in women's sports to begin with and yet here we are.   You are so out of touch I'm not sure what I can say to convince you.

I know it's easy for guys like you to defend this because, basically, you have no skin in the game unless you have daughters competing against them.  Do you have daughters?  And if you do then I would ashamed that you even support such a position.

In terms of politics, this is a tightrope situation. Obama/Biden/Harris are going to lose some women voters out of all this. If Nikki Haley gets the 2024 RNC ticket, Team Red will sweep in lots of moderate women and lots of suburban women. That Harris is on record sleeping with a married man (Willie Brown) to get ahead politically and he's even acknowledged this, look bad. If we delve into Q Score/E Score dynamics, lots of black women will not see Kamala Harris as black. Also she married a white man ( so did Haley) and is raising children not her own (Haley has her own biological children)  Some will think this won't make a difference with some cross section of female voters but that's just not true. Inside the black community is some internal strife against those who marry outside of their own group.  That Harris kept young black men in prison by suppressing evidence ( no one denies nor is able to make this narrative go away, the left leaning MSM simply refuse to cover it)  plus Biden's situation with the Crime Bill and busing and getting caught lying about marching doesn't help.

The DNC can't afford to lose major sections of the woman vote, and then again lose sections of possibly the black vote and the wildcard of parents as a whole. ( Liberal or conservative, some people are just going to spin hard on the idea of biological males playing girl sports)

The next question is if GLAAD's numbers are cooked or not. The reality of the situation is Biden/Harris/Obama need to hold onto those first time LGBT voters and can only do so if these four years operate with some kind of traction for that community. No one has their vote for free.

In terms of Kataluna Enriquez, there has to be a lot of internal and external pressure. If she/he doesn't win, then the showrunners face the risk of being called bigots. And then get the standard operating procedure of demonetization, loss of careers and essentially zero tolerance. If Enriquez does keep winning, there is going to be some silent ( how large is the big question) resentment from some women who will feel marginalized for a possible agenda built only for a specific media optic.

The biological male has a massive advantage in these situations. Vote for him or risk losing your job/career. I mean The Bachelor's Harrison got clipped for saying let's try to be understanding of a young person and the reality of making mistakes and let's try to forgive. It's easy to stay stick to your guns, but what about your mortgage? Feeding your kids? Keeping your career?

I have nothing against Enriquez and I acknowledge many LGBT out there have suffered. But allowing Enriquez to compete with women operates very closely to basic social political extortion. This relentless open threat of punishing everyone who is non LGBT does not change hearts and minds. If you act like a threat, people will always see you as a threat.

Zero tolerance structures that ride the line of public purity tests is one of the least tolerant mechanisms in the entire free world.

But because I dare to invoke the idea of seeing this as political strategy and a raw punitive methodology, it's very likely I'll be labeled a bigot, then bracketed and then eventually, one day, lined up against a wall and used as a bullet sponge.

This is the new culturally acceptable extortion by means of demonetization and identity politics as a soft cover for pure social terrorism. The people who suffered, fought and died for our freedom, for our right to vote, for our speech without fear of censorship, did not bleed out so that future generations could be held hostage by hardened unforgiving radicals. I have no quarrel with Enriquez, but the weight of all this, the silent threat of punishment for dissent against the singular narrative deemed pure enough, is not the kind of world many of us want our children to inherit.

This issue is many things, but one thing it's not is actual equality.

Two questions. First, why do you think combining transgender threads into one single one would be a "better fit" for the forum?

Second, wtf are you talking about? I've started threads on a very wide variety of topics - this is the first transgender and my position is supportive.

My most recent ten or so:

Gov Abbott opening Texas.
Who will be the Dem candidate 2024.
Cherokee Nation asking Jeep to stop using its name.
Hasbro making Mr Potato Head gender neutral.
Pope Francis warns of another great flood.
Bidens border crisis and national guard.
Derek Chauvin (George Floyd) trial.
Gov Whitmer and nursing home deaths.
Marvel making Capt America gay.
MI election violations.
Childrens court judge arrested for child porn.

They used to say the same thing to me back in the main forum around 2014-2015. None of it was true, and it's the same culprits that lurk about and take out aliases here. It's their little Mussolini-like way of saying they don't agree with you. These guys would have you deplatformed, censored, fact checked, name checked, six feet under checked until you're no longer speaking. Same ####, different day. #### them. Keep on posting whatever you feel like.

Censorship is awesome when your side is doing it!  VERY BAD when it's not.

 
all female beauty pageants are sexist and they need to go the way of the dinosaur

beauty pageants should be open to all sexes/genders etc
