Thanks for the PM RnR. While I am still resting on my laurels of WIS - The Early Years - I'm down. WAY too busy to worry about the format, so consider me in regardless. As long as there are multiple chance ridden dice rolls, Nipsey and SHOWDOWNS involved.PS - Is Harrrrrr out of jail yet?

We've been trying to compile a list of all the past winners and themes a few posts up. Which one of these things did you win?

Hard to remember, its been so long. Won two, got to the series in a third before I lost my magic touch. I was runner up in WIS II, the first real WIS (not including the All Time Greatest All Time Baseball Draft). The two that I did win, the first had Pete Alexander and Walter Johnson in what I think was all time but not duplicate seasons. I also won with George Brett, but dont remember if that was Disco Era or not.

Fixed It wasn't just Steroid Era, either ... it was the "Golden Steroid Era" -- something like 1920-1941 AND 1986-2004 together in one draft.

IIRC, you won WIS III and WIX VI (the Salary Cap league).Dirtyhalos won one ... either WIS V or VII.

In the National League, Oaktown Power was overpowered by Spartans Rule in 3 games. In the other matchup, Mr Ps Big Owning Machine outlasted T's Upside Your Head in 5 games. In the Patriot League, Koya's Kookies lost to dirtyhalos in 5 games and in the other bracket, TRE's Asian Porn III was overpowered by Spice in 4 games.

In the NLCS, Mr Ps Big Owning Machine defeated Spartans Rule in 6 games. While in the PLCS, dirtyhalos squeaked by Spice in 7 games.

In the World Series, Mr Ps Big Owning Machine was overpowered by dirtyhalos in 6 games.

Koya, I think you won VI and VII back to back (or maybe V & VI). I have all the e-mails from the WIS site, so I can confirm.

I drafted an all Golden Era team. They megafailed because I didn't have a closer.

That puts us at 20. Does anyone know for sure if WIS offers a 20-team league? It may be in our best interest to cap this thing at 20 and get started...

It looks like you can do 20 teams. Four 5 team divisions with 4 making the playoffs.

It looks like you can do 20 teams. Four 5 team divisions with 4 making the playoffs.

Hmm. I'd rather do a full 24, but we only have 3 people left I haven't heard from (larry, HellToupee, and AcerFC). Larry appears to be dead, and the other two have never played with us and may have lost interest in the idea. Anyone interested in doubling up on a team?4 5-team leagues wouldn't be the end of the world.

If I go into draft center, do I then have to click on each individual position? If I click on catcher for instance, I can then change to first season and sort the players however I want.

You can search all positions. Click on one of the utility slots and it will allow you to search all players in all positions. I would give you specific instructions but from work:

To search multiple positions at once, I always click on one of my bench slots (UTIL). That should open up search-ability for all positions.
