Epic. I love arcane trivia of the type this list seems to specialize in. I've not heard of too many of these things and am excited to edjumicate myself.

A few tidbits from glancing through a few of them:

2. The U.S. had a plan in the 1930s to invade Canada.

7. The prank phone calls Bart makes to Moe's are based on actual historical events.

43. So that's what that username means.

"Traumatic Insemination" would make an awesome name for a rock band, a fantasy football team name, or a FBG username.

looks like they got rid of the Back to the Future Timeline page.

redirects to a basic page about the movie

My own list of interesting Wikipedia articles would probably start here:

Michael Malloy
 Last night after checking out this list I started to make my own and was going to post it. But it was late and figured I'd wait until today. I forgot about it until just now.One of the articles I had on my list was Michael Malloy.

England had an alliance with Japan from 1902, and we were concerned that they could team up to conquer the world. Invading Canada would be critical in any attempt to wage war against England and Japan. It was part of dozens of different military scenarios that we planned for.

I don't know what kind of crazy books you've been reading, but I'm pretty sure the plans related to American anger over a crude flatulence-based cartoon produced by and starring the Canadian duo Terrence and Philip.

Unless you can back up that claim with a wiki article I am calling  What Would Brian Boitano Do?

The 1958 Tybee Island B-47 crash was an incident on February 5, 1958 in which the United States Air Force lost a 7,600 pound (3,500 kg) Mark 15 hydrogen bomb in the waters off Tybee Island near Savannah, Georgia, USA. The bomb was jettisoned to save the aircrew during a practice exercise after the B-47 bomber carrying it collided in midair with an F-86 fighter plane. Following several unsuccessful searches, it was presumed lost somewhere in Wassaw Sound off the shores of Tybee Island.

So it wasn't actually a "plan" it was just a strategy for if there was a time they needed to do that.

List of Unusual Deaths

This page is as interesting as it gets:

2009: Diana Durre, of Chambers, Nebraska, died after a 75-foot (23 m) tall Taco Bell sign fell on top of the truck cab she was in. Strong winds caused the pole to break at a welded joint about 15 feet (4.5 m) above the ground. [159]

2009: Sergey Tuganov, a 28-year-old Russian, bet two women that he could continuously have sex with them both for twelve hours. Several minutes after winning the $4,300 bet, he suffered a heart attack and died. It is believed that the heart attack was the result of Tuganov ingesting an entire bottle of Viagra just after accepting the bet.[160]

omg

2008: Abigail Taylor, age 6, died nine months after several of her internal organs were partially sucked out of her lower body while she sat on an excessively powerful swimming pool drain. After several months, surgeons replaced her intestines and pancreas with donor organs. Unfortunately, she later succumbed to a rare transplant-related cancer.[154]

The most interesting war scenario is War Plan Green - conquering Mexico.

http://www.jfcom.mil/newslink/storyarchive/2008/JOE2008.pdf

A serious impediment to growth in Latin America remains the power of criminal gangs and drug cartels to corrupt, distort, and damage the region’s potential. The fact that criminal organizations and cartels are capable of building dozens of disposable submarines in the jungle and then using them to smuggle cocaine, indicates the enormous economic scale of this activity. This poses a real threat to the national security interests of the Western Hemisphere. In particular, the growing assault by the drug cartels and their thugs on the Mexican government over the past several years reminds one that an unstable Mexico could represent a homeland security problem of immense proportions to the United States.

That's what a "plan" is - a strategy in place to be prepared in case action is needed. Having a plan does not infer intent to act.

207 BC: Chrysippus, a Greek stoic philosopher, is believed to have died of laughter after watching his drunk donkey attempt to eat figs.1601: Tycho Brahe, Danish astronomer, according to legend, died of complications resulting from a strained bladder at a banquet. It would have been extremely bad etiquette to leave the table before the meal was finished, so he stayed until he became fatally ill.

Other Brahe factoids: Lost his nose in a duel. In the dark. He kept a clairvoyant dwarf named Jepp as a court jester who sat under the table during dinner. Also kept a pet moose that, apparently during dinner one night, had drunk a lot of beer, fallen down the stairs, and died.

Awesome topic as I regularly waste too much time surfing Wiki. Here's three more, off the top of my head, that I found interesting:

Boston Molasses Disaster - A large molasses storage tank burst, and a wave of molasses rushed through the streets at an estimated 35 mph (56 km/h), killing 21 and injuring 150. The event has entered local folklore, and residents claim that on hot summer days, the area still smells of molasses.[1]

Battle of Ramree Island - "That night [of the 19 February 1945] was the most horrible that any member of the M.L. [motor launch] crews ever experienced. The scattered rifle shots in the pitch black swamp punctured by the screams of wounded men crushed in the jaws of huge reptiles, and the blurred worrying sound of spinning crocodiles made a cacophony of hell that has rarely been duplicated on earth. At dawn the vultures arrived to clean up what the crocodiles had left...Of about 1,000 Japanese soldiers that entered the swamps of Ramree, only about 20 were found alive."[2]

Self-surgery - "One morning I was called to the emergency room by the head ER nurse. She directed me to a patient who had refused to describe his problem other than to say 'he needed a doctor who took care of men's troubles' ... the patient permitted me to remove his trousers, shorts, and two or three yards of foul-smelling stained gauze wrapped about his scrotum, which was swollen to twice the size of a grapefruit and extremely tender.

"... amid the matted hair, edematous skin, and various exudates, I saw some half-buried dark linear objects and asked the patient what they were. Several days earlier, he replied, he had injured himself in the machine shop where he worked, and had closed the laceration himself with a heavy-duty stapling gun ... eight rusty staples were retrieved."

This patient had used a piece of machinery for stimulation on the lunch hour at his machine shop job, when the other employees had left the building. His left scrotum had been caught in the machine. He was thrown several feet away and when he awoke, he stapled the wound closed and resumed work.[

"The Air Force determined that it was prudent to leave the bomb covered in mud at the bottom of the sea floor rather than disturb it and risk the potential of detonation or contamination."
