Andrew Luck..... Love fest inside.... (2 Viewers)

Sanchez game last week doesn't look so bad now. Dallas is on a mission. Epic fantasy disaster...
It did not help that the following happened:

Opening drive extended based on taunting call

3 straight runs on 1st drive

Fake punt pass dropped wide open

After that you could really see where not having Ty Hilton really killed the Colts and getting anything going. I am hoping Ty can go next week even though the Colts play the lowly Titans.

Well, he got me there and then took it all away. Not even that mad, I'd be much more pissed if I made the wrong call setting my lineup or something, but this was unavoidable, every Luck owner started him and it just went to ####. Nothing you can do when that happens. I only get mad when something I reasonably could have done costs me--otherwise this hobby will drive you insane.

That was awesome. For real. I was playing against him and couldn't be happier. And I'm a Colts fan.

Agreed. I had Romo as my backup and I never even considered starting him. Luck most likely cost me $200 for not winning the SB but he made me more than that over the course of the year. Luck is the #1 overall point scorer in my league even after today, no way I was benching him.

Wow, didn't see that coming. 5.5 points in the Superbowl week against the Cowboys in a shoot out game?? Has to be one of the most unlikely gag jobs in the FF Superbowl in many years.

I hear you loud and clear. I had two teams playing for first, one for second, and one for third. Rode Luck in three and Romo in one. Romo helped me win first for one team while two of my Luck teams are out while one dependent upon a huge game from CJ Anderson on Monday. Yep, the CJ team has Romo on my bench. Obviously I am a Luck fan...just a shame to put up NO points. Had he put up a measly game I would be in great shape. Oh well....

Boy that hurt. Kinda like the opposite effect of the Jamal Charles game last year. Luck single handedly knocked a lot of teams out today.

No your not if you really thought that was awesome.
I am indeed a Colts fan, in that I hope they win every game, win the Super Bowl, I go to 2-3 games a year, and I have tons of Colts' gear - but yes, I am 100% more a fan of my fantasy team than I am of the Colts. I don't think the two ideas are mutually exclusive though. I wanted Luck to play terrible but the Colts to win. Seems pretty simple to me. This is the Super Bowl for cryin' out loud.

nope.... You're not a fan......

You officially would have been better starting Brandon Weeden today than -Andrew Luck.

Needs 2 TD's to pass Peyton for 2nd in TD's behind Marino (98).

Anyone else remember when the Colts used to routinely screw fantasy guys over by resting their starters week 16? They treated this week much like that- they mailed it in.

Could have started 25 other QB's this week and got a win.
I love this. Would 25 other QBs carried you to the championship?
No, probably just 8-10 others.

I'm not complaining, I'm just stating a fact. I consider 10-15 points for a QB a bad game. Luck had 2 points. If I lost by 10 points and I had to point the blame at one players performance, I'm pointing at Luck. Hauschka missing 3 field goals didn't help either. Should I point to him?

Or how about I just point to.... :ptts:

Don't own Luck but own Vinateri

Just one FG from Vinateri and I win but no old neck beard had to throw the pick right before the half on 3rd and long

I think Luck is good but I also think many have overrated him. He isn’t the Messiah of QB’s that many make him out to be. He may actually become great one day but he isn’t there yet. He is a bit to careless with the ball.

Troy Brown has not watched many Indy games I take it.

Luck carries the offense for the Colts each and every week. Not only did he carry the Colts but the Colts finished first in passing yards, to the Bengals at 21st. While the Colts finished first in passing tds with 42 the Bengals were 22nd with 20. All of this was done with a horrid run game and no team respecting the Colts rushing the ball. Bengals finished 6th while the Colts finished 22nd in rushing.

But if you had your head in the sand for much of the season you may try to compare how the 2 are pretty close. LOL

Yeah, if you take away the fact that Luck threw more than twice as many touchdowns as Dalton did this year, and had a much better YPA, then, yeah, their numbers are about the same. :lmao: :lmao:

To be fair, he did mention previous years where Dalton's numbers were on par. He said this year Luck got his stats from playing easy teams. He has some merit, just not inside of a love feast of course.

I think the same can be said for most QBs. Not many QBs make their living shredding top teams.

indeed

Bottom line: comparing their playoff victories, which Brown did, is moronic because a) it's a team stat, and b) this is only Luck's 3rd season.

Also, he said, "Coming into the season, the numbers said it all." Uh, what do the numbers tell you now, Troy? Does the 2014 season not count? Ya know, the one where Luck got a lot better and Dalton regressed?

And calling Luck a "decent quarterback" is just plain stupid. Just about anyone with two eyes knows that Luck is already, at worst, one of the quarterbacks in the NFL. Wherever you want to rank Luck in there after Rodgers with Peyton, Wilson, Romo, Brady, Brees and Ben (and maybe Rivers, too) is up to each person, but he's in that mix. Being a top 9 QB, if you want to put him last among those guys, is better than decent.

The problem with Luck is how good he is already (as a 3rd year player) and therefore it leads to some expecting a season like this year as normal and ordinary and then comparing him to a player like Andy Dalton.

Luck in only his 3rd year in the NFL just lead one of the best offences in the league by throwing for 4760 yards and 40 td's. He also ran for 273 yards and 3 td's. Now did he have too may fumbles and interceptions? Yes of course. But anyone trying to break down this season and what will transpire going forward will realize how outlandish it is to compare a player like Luck to Dalton and to say they are similar in anyway.

I wouldn't let Andy Dalton hand Luck footballs during pre-game warm ups. I also don't think Dalton isn't that bad.
