Black lives matter (2 Viewers)

Why has nobody ever worried about or brought up black on black violence??!!
at local levels they have .... but BLM and ANTIFA and in many ways the Democrats only want to focus on police shootings that involve blacks

but LeBron don't care ... he's on the pc bandwagon as is Doc and all the others

I wonder how much money BLM has brought in in the last 9 months ?? hundreds of millions ? man ... that's incentive right there to keep the hate going !!

Saw a alternative  couple today with a child. One had a  "Trans Lives Matter" T-shirt, the other a "Gay Lives Matter T -shirt" the little boy had a " Kids Lives Matter" t shirt on.

Is this the new style now?

Remindd me of how LGB became:

LGBT

Then LGBTQ.

Then LGBTQI

Then LGBTQIA.

Then LGBTQIAP.

Then LGBTQIAPK.

Now LGBTQIAPK+

Unity for what?  To brainwash little kids about how dangerous it is to go out to wear a hoodie because those evil white policemen are gonna gun you down.  I am sick of hearing about hoodies and hands up don't shoot, which narratives are based on total lies.  And to scare moms and children into believing such non-sense is a figgin crime.  That is why they boo that crap and they are right to do so.

many of us are sick of living it my friend.

which guy in the hoodie?  you lost me.
The most famous hoodie guy whose killing was the fuel which started the whole BLM movement.  When someone mentions hoodie, it is almost always a reference to Treyvon Martin.  They will often throw in skittles and tea references.

Maybe the guy in the hoodie should have stopped pounding the guys face in.  90% of these stories that are thrown around are loaded up with so much BS.
I think it's just as accurate to say that the places you get your news and info about "the left" are loaded with this too.

Or, don't boo and comdemn equality/unity or we will call you classless trash?
The old generalization to fight generalizations...maybe a consumer who is paying hundreds of dollars for entertainment was using their right to free expression to say they are there for entertainment and not for political statements...or maybe they are booing because they feel these symbolic gestures are in support of an organization that advocates socialism...regardless of the reason the players have every right to do their thing and the fans do as well.

"Colin Kaepernick is kneeling during the national anthem -- he must hate America."

"The fans are booing during the anti-racism liturgy -- they must hate unity."

These two statements are making the exact same error, and if you don't see that, you're part of the problem.
Right, except Colin Kaepernick does hate America, listen to him.  Just a bad example, the others kneeling and expressing unity I agree with you.  Same idea with the fans in the stadium...I'm sure there are some bad apples.

I fully support KC fans' right to boo.
I fully support their right to boo as well.  I don't think anyone got arrested for booing nor said they weren't allowed to.

I also fully support the rights of anyone else to call them classless for doing so.  Because it was.  You don't have to support the movement.  But you also don't have to boo even if you have the right to do so.  Remain silent during the moment of silence and be respectful for a couple minutes.  Same as other people do when asked to be silent (bow your heads for a prayer even if you're atheist, for example).

From what I heard, KC flashed some message on the board during the moment of silence along the lines of 'We believe black lives matter....' and that triggered the booing.  I think many probably saw that as support of the BLM movement, which it wasn't meant to be.

The solution would be to build a fan locker-room so the fans can hang in there until the actual opening kickoff.

The problem is that the right has systematically politicized calls for black equality.

Yes, I think so.  "Classless" might be a bit harsh but I'd definitely agree with "rude".  But I'm not a boo-er at all.   I won't even boo refs or opposing players.

It has to be really weird for the players. They decide on what seems like a pretty tame compromise of after the anthem doing a sign of unity and there are boos (regardless of what may or may not have been on a scoreboard). That’s got to feel really uncomfortable. I would love to hear their unfiltered takes on it.

Booing opposing players has always struck me as a kind of dumb.  It's one thing if we're talking about the Astros or something, but otherwise the opposing team is just showing up to play just like the home team is.

Booing refs, on the other hand, is what separates us from the communists.

Agreed, only time it’s acceptable imo is when you have a good healthy rivalry like Michigan-Ohio State. It’s not not serious and is just part of the atmosphere of that rivalry. Generally booing athletes and refs is classless.

Sorry, didn’t know you supported the big elites, massive debt and deterioration of the middle and working class. I thought we could agree on that but there may be nothing we agree on then.
He's STILL passed out in the frat house...

The players and coaches standing together in a moment of silence/unity seems about as benign and non-hostile as can be. Booing that simple gesture seems like a choice to be purposefully spiteful. If you’re against folks signifying that they want to stand together and work together to treat everyone as equal, I don’t know what to tell you. Bringing your other baggage in and putting it on that moment is a bad look IMO.

Not saying I agree with KC fans booing, but it’s possible that many are of the “we’re here for a football game” variety and were showing their dissatisfaction with politics/societal matters being forced upon them. And peaceful protests are good, right? At least that’s what I’ve been told.

It’s amazing...booing bad, looting, violence, protests are good.
