This still feels like its going to end 3-0 to Portugal.  Nothing about Hungary looks organized.  Less bus parking, and more random junked cars in the box.

 
I always like these threads because I realize quickly how little I know about a sport I love to watch so much.  You guys are so well versed in these players, style of play, coaching, etc.  I have no idea what squad anybody belongs to for context of how n00bish I am here.

You are correct in that most strikers take that shot. Strikers are taught to get in the box and 1) shoot, 2) take a guy on, 3) draw contact, 4) maybe pass.  And they were strong on target. 

But spinning and shooting into three defenders vs setting up Ronaldo for a sitter?

Quick recap, Swiss draw with xpg of 2.1 - 0.5 cost me half a bet, and then Denmark game with the obvious near tragedy, how can a team come out and play after that is beyond me, but no bother because Belgium scored 3 themselves so I was just way off on the under there.  Was busy Sunday and didn't really see anything of value yesterday so took a breather.

Today however, we will have some bets.

First up Portugal tt 01.5 (-145) 2.9 to win 2.0

This one is pretty much a no-brainer and will be my first big bet of the tournament.  I'm sure everyone saw what Sweden did to Spain yesterday to hold them to a draw even after being dominated, so they may be hesitant to back a team to score multiple goals.  Few things though.  First, Portugal does not have Morata on their team.  Second, Hungary is not nearly as talented as Sweden (and the loss of Szobolsai is a major loss).  Third, have I mentioned no Morata?  Instead you get the likes of Felix, Fernandes, oh, CR7 he's pretty good?

But, the real reason is you look at this group and each team HAS to beat on poor Hungary if they want to advance.  France and Germany are the other game later, and even if they draw, it may well come down to what the other teams do against Hungary here as this is a very very tough group.  You have to expect Portugal to win here, and a heavy win will really benefit them right out of the gates.  If they only score 0 or 1, Gulasci will need stand on his head, which could happen as he's definitely world class.

Back to the well with Under 1 1H and I'll take the Draw at +226 for the next one.  This is fun.  I forgot how much morning soccer gambling enhances the work day. 

 
Huge win for Portugal to set up a strong GD and great call by @guru_007

The kicker in Group F is that France and Portugal have to play in Budapest and Munich for matchdays 1 and 2, then Hungary travels to Munich for the third game while France plays Portugal in Budapest.  Its a big advantage for the Germans. All three group games are going to be huge for these teams.

 
Euro Tourney record update 2-1-1 +1.40

Next game up is the game of the tournament.  

Bet is u2.75 (-115)

Germany is the team I root for and although I was hoping to see Timo Werner in the starting side for my under bet, we'll make do with the team that's fielded as it's fairly evident Germany wants no part of an open game here.  Their midfield is terrific, Kimmich, Kroos, Gundogan is great.  They will try to control play while you'll see the likes of Gnabry and Gosens bombing forward, but alas this team has no Lewa.  

France team has great attack, but their defense is extremely tough to break down as well.  Benzema/Griezeman/M'Bappe has to be best striking trio in tournament, but both teams have very good defenses and world class gk's.

But mainly, as I mentioned before, this group is all about who can beat the hell out of Hungary the most.  Portugal did their part, I'd expect neither Germany nor France want to lose this game and will play accordingly.  I know that sounds counterintuitive maybe in that wtf wants to ever lose, but a draw will suit both sides in this one.  There should be a goal in this one, maybe two, but hopefully no more.
