Not that anybody would do that but France is the one side that comes across like they don't care who they play, they know they can win.Would be scandalous and likely incur the wrath of the footy gods, but honestly not a bad idea. Playing England in London is not easy, but then you get the Ukraine/Sweden winner in Rome; then winner of Netherlands/Czech/Wales/Denmark in the semifinal back in London. Its never wise to look ahead, but seems very likely the England/Germany winner will be a strong favorite to play in the final.
With the way Germany has played and the other options being France and Portugal, with loaded lineups, I'm not sure I get that. Germany will try to dominate possession, which England will be somewhat ok with. Hummels can't like the idea of having to deal with the speed of Sterline/Foden/Saka plus Kane on the counter. I think England got essentially the best possible draw they could have reasonably gotten. I don't necessarily think they will win but I would have made them definitive underdogs against France, small underdogs against Portugal and probably about even with Germany.Listening to the pundits this morning, the one team Rodney Marsch wanted England to avoid was Germany. "Beat", not bet...Such small stake bets don’t interest me.
Sorry Mrs. Gator.
The team that uses the Pong numbers being disrespected here.France, Belgium, Italy, Portugal and Spain all on one side of the bracket is just... woof. Five of the six best teams left in the tournament. Germany has to be licking their chops.

England TT o1.5 (-115) 2.30 to make 2.00
England win and u4.5 goals (-120) 1.20 to make 1.00
England 3 - Czech Republic 1 (exact score prop) +1400 0.1 to make 1.4
Updated record 13-13-2 (+4.25)The bet o3.5 bookings -125 (1.25 to win 1.00)
McTominnay to be booked +260 (0.4 to win 1.04)
That's fine, I'd 100x rather Scotland advanced than England, but they just lack the talent.
Based on these odds, I'd be tempted to put $100 each on England, Germany, Netherlands.Current odds (via William Hill):
France 3.5/1
Italy 6/1
England 6.5/1
Germany 7/1
Spain 7.5/1
Netherlands 9/1
Belgium 9/1
Portugal 10/1
I think its more of a historical England can't beat Germany in a tourney thing and not necessarily about current form. With the way Germany has played and the other options being France and Portugal, with loaded lineups, I'm not sure I get that. since you seem to have read the rules.....is match day 4, all of the round of 16?Locked...okay not locked...but loaded for the playoff round in the fantasy contest. Tricky to figure out the teams to lean on.

lolsince you seem to have read the rules.....is match day 4, all of the round of 16?
Wrong thread!Just to clarify - the next "round" is the Round of 16 - you can make unlimited transfers until the first game.
Within that round, you will be able to make substitutes at the end of each actual day - but no transfers into the club until the QFs.
Before the QFs start - you will get 3 free transfers
Before the SFs start - you will get 5 free transfers
Before the Final - you will get 5 free transfers.
Incorrect.Wrong thread!
I mean they could have ruined England v Germanyhttps://twitter.com/richarddeitsch/status/1408121348111671296
Twellman gets to ruin Wales v Denmark, Belgium v Portugal, and France v Switzerland?

If I'm reading this correctly, it's basically saying short goal kicks are superior to long balls as it leads to more direct attacks?fun with stats (read bottom for explanation)

I don't think it is attempting to make any conclusion. It is just showing raw data.If I'm reading this correctly, it's basically saying short goal kicks are superior to long balls as it leads to more direct attacks?
yep - 8 games in match day 4 spread across 4 actual days. Roster locks at kickoff of first game of the rock - Subs I assume are just at beginning of actual days.since you seem to have read the rules.....is match day 4, all of the round of 16?
England has got that coveredI mean they could have ruined England v Germany![]()

It could always be worse. Imagine if Alexi Lalas had not signed up for Fox Sports.Awful. ESPN has no idea what they're doing with this.
Lalas getting in arguments with other co-hosts after games is nearly as bad as Twellman talking over live playIt could always be worse. Imagine if Alexi Lalas had not signed up for Fox Sports.
Lalas is the result of the Bayless "embrace debate" model. Say something stupid so that co-hosts have something to talk about. Unneccessary and moroninc.Lalas getting in arguments with other co-hosts after games is nearly as bad as Twellman talking over live play
I mean you'll always have this day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aPzTAfRq_oI want to apologize to the thread for missing the Portugal/France game and robbing us of me and Gator responding to braces from Benz and Ronaldo—or in other words—the most homoerotic thread in the history of this board.
Only way Southgate drops Rice is for Henderson.Any chance Southgate would drop the Rice spot and replace it with another attacking player? You could play Mount and Phillips in the middle, Grealish in front of them, and then Kane flanked by some combination of Rashford/Sterling/Foden etc. Feels like they should swing for the fences.
Phillips is a defensive mid - he would just take the Rice role in that setup.Any chance Southgate would drop the Rice spot and replace it with another attacking player? Yeah I guess I'm suggesting he switch up the formation a little bit. Phillips and Mount can cover an insane amount of ground, I just think it's an opportunity to get more attacking talent out there.Phillips is a defensive mid - he would just take the Rice role in that setup.
I don’t like soccer but I got a little down on SpainCurrent odds (via William Hill):
France 3.5/1
Italy 6/1
England 6.5/1
Germany 7/1
Spain 7.5/1
Netherlands 9/1
Belgium 9/1
Portugal 10/1
NED and ITA are better bets IMO. ESP will still struggle to find goals when they really need them.I don’t like soccer but I got a little down on Spain
