I checked the status of my mail in vote yesterday. It said that it was sent out on October 20 and accepted on October 21. Which is weird, since I got it on October 17 and deposited it in a ballot box on October 23.
I might have voted for myself for a local race where the incumbent was running unopposed. I'll know how much my wife loves me when the official tally comes in.
Went to my place. Long line. Bout an hour wait when normally you're in and out. Figured it was for higher than normal turnout plus Covid. Turns out they changed the machine. It's a computer that prints your result on paper and then you have to take the paper to another computer and insert it correctly to count the vote. This place had the same machines for at least 20 years. Weird to change them suddenly when wait times will be up for other reasons.
