Very hard to square the Burnley game and first half at Arsenal with first half here and second half at The Emirates.

Jekyl and Hyde stuff.

Officiating has been horrible - that was not a yellow, but mane should have seen red, and scored...

Pretty sloppy game all around.  I have no idea how Mane stayed on the field.  Should have been set off a few times.

As a Spurs fan I'm very happy Mane never moved to the left. Dier would have never kept up with him.

I never realized how important Dembele is to the Spurs middle.

Also, was Eriksen even in the game?  I'm getting tired of him being invisible on the pitch. He's so much better in the center but I know that's a crowded position.

Matip looks to be a big piece of the puzzle in central defense.

As for Sturridge, I can't see this situation remaining.  There's obvious friction between he and Klopp. But he's not the type of player you want to sell to the enemy.

I thought the announcers had it right when they said Spurs looked slow - maybe that's because Pool has a lot of speed.  Walker having to sub didn't help.

Liverpool will overwhelm some teams with that pace but need to get that defense sorted out. They may be league leaders in GF and GA.

Emre Can should help solidify the deep midfield and Matip looked good.

Ironically, the guy partially responsible for the goal today is Clyne, who has made crucial errors in 3 of the goals we've allowed this year. Last year he was the rock.  So hopefully he can settle down a bit.

re: Erikson...I was thinking the exact same thing.  Admittedly, I don't watch every game, but 2yrs ago, he was my favorite PL player to watch; he reminded me a lot of Pjanic, especially those free kicks & touch passes.  He seemed to tail off at the end of last yr, & this year.  Was wondering if it was position/placement or his own play.

Liverpool/Tottenham was entertaining. Would love to settle in and curse Costa for a couple hours, but I've gotta go watch some damn thing called "flag football". :kicksrock:

It's very, very early.  But I'm starting to think its a 3-horse race for the title and LIV Tott and ARS will battle it out for 4th at some considerable distance behind the other three.

Its a long season.

Last year, after 5 weeks, Leicester were 7 points behind Man City, Spurs were 12 points behind.

Ali is the demon spawn of Diego Costa. Hopefully he gets a retroactive life ban after trying to break Bobby's ankle

Good solid game from both teams.

Fun game...could see that equalizer coming as soon as Milner didn't close down Dier quickly

Can in for Lallana can't happen soon enough. I like Lallana, but he gets caught in transition every ####### time it seems.
