Final was 5-4 for Bayern.  I imagine the panic was real inside the Allianz.

 
Getting excited for tonight. If KC can keep it within 2 I will be happy. As long as it doesn't get too out of hand I am going to the return leg next week. 

 
I've always wondered why there aren't more no-run-up PKs, seems like they should be more common. Is the downside you can't get as much on it?

I think it's probably harder to conceal your intentions until the last second.  And you can't really throw off the rhythm.  You can stutter (but not stop) a run-up, you can't hesitate in the kick.

that, and it's hard as crap to kick the ball like that. 

loved it though- and yeah, never seen it either.

I had one that was a run up to kick with the right- but instead of planting the left foot and swinging with the right, would hit it with the toe of the left disguised as planting while raising the right foot back as if I was in the process of kicking. worked twice, and then got easily snuffed the third and final time I tried it. GK also went off on me afterwords (deservedly so).

Watching on a computer because for some stupid reason the Yahoo app won't chromecast to my TV. The icon is there, I push the icon, but it never connects. Yahoo can suck my soccer balls.

Just saw the replay - it looks more like a double yellow (I know it was a straight red)

Diego must have said something after the tackle, and was getting a yellow card for that, but then he escalated the complaint to 11, and the ref changed his mind mid-card, and pulled the Red instead of yellow.

And, I know its been said, but what is with the players surrounding and grabbing the ref after that?  I know one got a yellow, but the league really should come down hard on that - a Ref's job is hard enough, they should not be worried about being assaulted on the field.

Odd situation there.  La Liga does has an emphasis on those type of cards the last couple of years.

Suarez puts the league essentially out of reach with a golazo.

It was a long shot anyway. Getting 3 in camp nou is not easy. Simeone has a terrible record against Barça too.

I'm gonna be glad when Messi and Ronaldo are done.

The referee's match report said that Costa told the ref that he '(defecated) on his (prostitute) mother' twice.  Seems red card-worthy to me.

11 clear with 7 matches left, and the tie-breakers against Atleti and Real.  This would be the tenth time Messi has won La Liga.  That's insane.

Wait, did he did say "I **** on your whore mother!" and then say it again?  Or did he say "When I **** on your whore mother, she liked it so much, I did it again?"

I don't think Spurs have ever won when Poch goes with his dark-on-dark ensemble.

This could get ugly.  Kind of like Poch's suit...  :oldunsure:
