welp, back to 6th. Thanks Jose
Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, and Manchester UnitedTop 4 race is interesting I suppose, in a "who is least likely to throw it away" kind of thing.
Final was 5-4 for Bayern. I imagine the panic was real inside the Allianz.CletiusMaximus said:I lived in Germany for two years and don't think I've ever heard of Heidenheim football club. I don't even recall ever hearing of a city named Heidenheim.
They're up 2-1 and Bayern is playing with 10 men.
I think it's probably harder to conceal your intentions until the last second. And you can't really throw off the rhythm. You can stutter (but not stop) a run-up, you can't hesitate in the kick.I've always wondered why there aren't more no-run-up PKs, seems like they should be more common. Is the downside you can't get as much on it?

Just saw the replay - it looks more like a double yellow (I know it was a straight red)Straight red for Deigo Costa always a fun sight.
LA is introducing DC to the same wood shed that Dortmund visited earlier today....Carlos Vela joining Robben and Messi on the elite list of players that have made me scream "My God, don't let him on his left foot!" at the screen.
Odd situation there. La Liga does has an emphasis on those type of cards the last couple of years.Just saw the replay - it looks more like a double yellow (I know it was a straight red)
Diego must have said something after the tackle, and was getting a yellow card for that, but then he escalated the complaint to 11, and the ref changed his mind mid-card, and pulled the Red instead of yellow.
And, I know its been said, but what is with the players surrounding and grabbing the ref after that? I know one got a yellow, but the league really should come down hard on that - a Ref's job is hard enough, they should not be worried about being assaulted on the field.
Would you say:Thanks, Diego.
It was a long shot anyway. Getting 3 in camp nou is not easy. Simeone has a terrible record against Barça too.Would you say:
Diego might of Costa Atletico the league.
(ETA - spelling cleaned up, but otherwise stolen from reddit)
The referee's match report said that Costa told the ref that he '(defecated) on his (prostitute) mother' twice. Seems red card-worthy to me.Sinn Fein said:Just saw the replay - it looks more like a double yellow (I know it was a straight red)

We started that shtick here.Would you say:

Would of let it go, except he said he cleaned it up for spelling. We started that shtick here.
And it's might have (or might've).

Eye sea wot ewe did their. And put me in the camp behind auto-yelloe for anybody approaching the ref that isn't the captain. Seems an easy fix to an out have control problem.
Wait, did he did say "I **** on your whore mother!" and then say it again? Or did he say "When I **** on your whore mother, she liked it so much, I did it again?"The referee's match report said that Costa told the ref that he '(defecated) on his (prostitute) mother' twice. 11 clear with 7 matches left, and the tie-breakers against Atleti and Real. This would be the tenth time Messi has won La Liga. That's insane.
the one and true poster boy for enigmatic players around the world.
Looks in slow motion.
Some of that defending was shambolic.
You gotta credit Loftus-Cheek for that assist.
When he's gone, let's not cry because he left us too soon; rather, let's smile because of the joy he brought us while he was here.Sarri on whether he can take credit for Hazard's highest scoring season: "My work? Not at all, to the mother of Hazard, I think."
Sarri on Hazard possibly leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid: "The club doesn't want to sell him but we must all respect his decision I think. He is in the last year of his contract and if he has another decision then we have to respect it. We tried but it is not easy."
Sarri is asked if Hazard has told him he wants to go. "Not at the moment. He tells me he has to decide."
Didn’t know they made traffic cones in claret and blue.
