I mean... Klopp is kinda a double ##### on the bench. : shrug:
No argument there.

But....

1) Jose has had his share in the past. He was quite composed today, I'll admit.

2) Tottenham were clearly NOT the better side. Now, their game plan was to counter and they were really good at doing so. It's not to say that they played poorly or didn't do well because they didn't have possession. It was actually a good match that could have gone either way. But, overall, Liverpool were the better side and created more and better chances. I'd be interested to see what the expected goal stats were.

That #2 was primarily why I found that funny with his notion that they were clearly the superior side.

Do what now?  You must have been watching the wrong game.

Spurs had a higher Xg than Liverpool....
Interesting. Liverpool had more chances but lower quality. Tottenham only had a handful but they certainly should have scored on at least one of those (especially the post shot).

And no, I wasn't watching the wrong game. Two different strategies, both teams played well, I thought Liverpool looked the better side throughout. Not taking anything away from Tottenham as their counter was lethal.

You had your Shader Specstm on, and were fooled by all that meaningless possession...

5 goals = 3 howlers, 1 lucky/unlucky (depending on which side you are on) and 1 beauty of a goal.

When United turn it on they are so much fun to watch.  Heck even Lindelof looks like Bruno with those passes.  But when they don't, they give away cheap goals.

For every great move and pass Pogba has, he looses the ball cheaply in is own half.

I like Telles so much more then Shaw.

With an upgrade at DCM and CB this would be my top lineup.  Sorry to Fred whos been good, and Matic whos been old, but a upiger top DCM type in there would make this so much better.
Declan Rice maybe?

Feel bad for Henderson for the howler.  But Ole wanting to play out of the back puts them all under pressure.  It feels like their instructions are to play 2-touch and make sure everyone touches the ball like they are up 10-0 in a kids game.

Not a huge fan of watching Liverpool in black shirts and Palace in Blue shirts.

Seems like there should have been a better contrasting shirt for Liverpool to wear.

And they look ok going forward, lots of controlled possession all the way to the box, but then no shots and only hopeful balls put across the box on the ground to nobody.

Man, this LAFC-Club America game is trying to redefine Concacaffy.  Jesus is this ugly.

A clear PK was not called and then Club America's GK's Memo Ochoa absolutely faked an injury while the ball was up the field, that drew a straight red card for literally nothing (no VAR).

Just awful.  It took almost five full minutes to figure out as the ref did not see it so a AR from a mile away made the call.  Ochoa won't even get slap on wrist by Concacaf, even after watching the replays.

Memo Ochoa really won an Academy Award pretending Eduard Atuesta really hit him with a headbutt. Talked trash, put his head on Atuesta, then threw himself when Atuesta got up. This referee already had looked super shaky. How he issues a red there (with no VAR) is laughable

lol.  Club America coach Herrera gets a red card coming out of half time.  He moves one row into the stands where he is still coaching from and then 15 seconds into half LA scores to draw level.

finally, some poetic justice in soccer.

LA wins 3-1 and moves into the final even after Club America cheated as hard as you can cheat in the sport.

LAFC has beaten 3 straight Liga MX teams to get to the final.  Tigres awaits.

"Suddenly the Premier League table has an ominous look. It’s that time of year when a cheerful, bearded Teutonic man does the rounds, spreading joy and disappointment."

That's how you start a game on the front foot.

Announcers: Mctominay off injured late.  If he's out the direct replacement would be Matic
Me: Thats a wierd way to pronounce "Pogba".

Yeah, I chuckled at that too.  This is why Ole needs to win - he has players.  He needs to get them to perform.  And if I’m being fair, he was one CL point from having the side look really good right now. If they get in to January and still in top-4 I’ll not be so harsh on him. Yesterday’s result looked great but we are probably about the worst matchup for Leeds - Ole doesn’t care if we only have 40% possession.

He does, and they need to come out with that effort every game.  That game though, could have been 10-5, each team had chances they should have put away.

SAF always said as long as he was within striking distance of the top after Christmas, he had a chance to win the title.  Well, 5 points off the top, game in hand.... lets see what Ole can do.  They get the kid from Atalanta in Jan, do they bring anyone else in?

Leicester away on the weekend will be a huge test.  They need to keep it going.
