Ok, 538 is going to be way off the oddsmakers once the new odds are posted. +City, +Chelsea at the expense of Liverpool. So grain of salt with my earlier post.I find that strange because I think Chelsea has been the most consistent of the three, especially in how stingy their defense has been. And doing that with Lukaku out to boot.
I think it's 33/33/33 at this point.
Oof. Just realized the gap between the stats nerd sites and the actual odds are likely being driven by the African Cup of Nations timing. Looks like that's costing Liverpool about a 20% chance of winning the title.
Years ago I remember Chelsea being decimated by afcon every season. It seems much more important to African players than anything to do with the club.Yup - they will be missing Salah, Mane, and Keita.
Chelsea will be missing Mendy
City will be missing Mahrez.
Its still a little unclear when the players must be released - could be as early as the end of December. I think the teams, Liverpool in particular, are still negotiating with national teams. Liverpool have Leicester and Chelsea at the end of December, start of January.
That is an insane statistic.Every team from 5th to 13th in the EPL has a GD between 0 and -4.
Only the top-4 are positive.
Höler scored AND Höfler scored.6 1h goals now, 6 different goal scorers. Has to be some sort of record.
Wow, really bad call against AVL. That's a goal.
That ball didn't look like it was in control. His hand touched it a fraction of a second before it was put into the goal.A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball with the hand(s) when:
the ball is between the hands or between the hand and any surface (e.g. ground, own body) or by touching it with any part of the hands or arms except if the ball rebounds from the goalkeeper or the goalkeeper has made a save
A goalkeeper cannot be challenged by an opponent when in control of the ball with the hand(s).
Letter of the rule seemed to be it was the wrong call because it took place when the ball rebounded off his hand from a save. That ball didn't look like it was in control. His hand touched it a fraction of a second before it was put into the goal.
Might be correct by letter of the rule but that feels wrong.
When it was kicked it had not rebounded off his hand. His hand, albeit only 1, was on the ball, which was on the ground.Letter of the rule seemed to be it was the wrong call because it took place when the ball rebounded off his hand from a save.
…except if the ball rebounds from the goalkeeper or the goalkeeper has made a save
That’s exactly what happened.![]()
Wouldn't that be the "has made a save" part? When it was kicked it had not rebounded off his hand. His hand, albeit only 1, was on the ball, which was on the ground.
I think the letter of the law was followed here, even if the law itself is not overly clear.
I didn't watch, but interesting that Norwich had 59/41 possession advantage against Tottenham. Both given they were playing @ Tottenham and just the caliber of the teams. They also managed 10 shots although only 1 on target.
Wouldn't that be the "has made a save" part?
Letter of that law means it should've been a goal. He made the initial save.I think this implies the ball is moving away from the keeper - otherwise, you could go after the ball anytime the keeper has made a save...
In this particular instance - Schmeichel did have his hand on the ball, albeit momentarily, and the ball was stationary (i.e. not moving away from him).

damn... sucks for the Union having to go through that. 11 players out?! and they still kept it close- full credit to them.@Ned Time to suit up![]()
nycfc can suck itdamn... sucks for the Union having to go through that. 11 players out?! and they still kept it close- full credit to them.
congrats to NYC for taking care of things (they had a couple players out too- but not 11).
NYC vs Portland for the final... in Portland. You never know, but this should be Portland.
They actually scored in the 95th & 96th minute to win 2-1. And I had bet over 2.5 goalsmeanwhile in ColOmbia
this was the goal to earn the goal-scoring team promotion to the 1st division... in the 95th minute. seems lletget. I mean... legit.
Buy seriously...that is some shady bidness. And I dont mean Guru getting an in on the bet. Those goals against a team clearly not trying cost another team promotion.meanwhile in ColOmbia

Its amazing right?guru_007 said:United had a clean sheet today. At OT. First time since April, ffs.
Two things jumped out:Its amazing right?
United: Ragnarock has started well. They actually looked good, played hard, moved the ball with urgency. Makes you wonder since they've had 1 training day with Rangnick, did he do that much?
Looking to see how the rotation works and how he fits the outsiders in better than Ole did.
Two things jumped out:
4-2-2-2. It’s an unusual formation so possibly caught CP off guard
High press and high line - also rattled CP.
Obviously, both are directly attributable to Rangnick but they could have lost the match too. But that is the type of performance - attacking, pressing and imposing their will on the opposition that United fans have been wanting but Ole had little interest in playing that way.
It will be a somewhat painful process I imagine and they’ll have some matches where they will get shredded but something has to be done and I think this is a step in the right direction.
Saw a pic on twitter of one being basically his toe. Thought they were going to make it so that didn't happen with thicker lines?Richarlison's head is going to asplode. 2 goals called back on the slightest of slight offsides against him.

I'm not a big fan of the 4-2-2-2, I like a team to play with width, change point of attack, etc.... But it did look good for most of the game. If and When they have a few training days, we'll see what he can implement and improve.
Maguire played faster, Fred looked better going forward, a lot of rotation up top.
With Young Boys, Norwich, Brentford, Brighton, Newcastle, Burnley taking us through New Years, excellent chance for rotation and getting his philosophy going.
I have no idea.Saw a pic on twitter of one being basically his toe. Thought they were going to make it so that didn't happen with thicker lines?
