"Middle eastern male, camo-type shorts, backpack, long beard" -- unclear if that is a new report, or of suspect description form original shooting.

Hoping they capture the suspects quickly and alive. Find out what the hell was going on in their heads. Just awful.

Sidenote: cops get a ton of flack, certainly warranted for the few cops involved in the high profiles shootings of the past few years. But listening to the scanner, it's remarkable how calm they all are, dispatcher included. It reminds me of the Boston bomber manhunt. You know their hearts have to be racing and the info is all over the place. It's a tough job and I wouldn't want to do it.

 
Do you all remember a time when "active shooter" was not in our lexicon, let alone something we hear so regularly

Wednesday's shooting occurred at the Inland Regional Center, a facility for people with developmental disabilities. It is unclear how many people were at the facility at the time of the shooting. The center's Facebook page says it employs nearly 670 people at its facilities in San Bernardino and Riverside counties, providing service to more than 30,200 people.

It aims to "work on a personal, one-on-one basis with people with developmental disabilities to make their lives better as they define it." No information is yet available on how many people were at the facility at the time of the shooting.

 
i work about a mile away to the west at a county facility, we were sent home around 12:15 - 12:30 and told to drive totally opposite direction and go home... happy to be home
