But in this case, I'm not sure it matters.I have him in an H2H, and it's stupid what his single start does each week. When he has 2 starts? Lights out when he's on.In Roto, he's a slam dunk in every cat.Again, what's the argument against? The only one I can think of is that there will be limited availability of a 1B with major power avail to you at #24-28The age old question of league rules comes up.H2H or Roto
I'd like to know on a VBD basis if this makes sense. Where are the math nerds?Hi Scupper, I think that Santana is really the #2 pick these days as Pujols is still the runaway 1st choice. If Santana is Manning then Pujols is Tomlinson.
I think by taking him 1st in a H2H league you are losing a lot in terms of not having a bat. Depending on how many teams are in your league you may have to wait 23 picks until it gets back to you. You leave yourself open to not getting a top flight bat. I took Johan with the 7th pick in a 10 team league (I know, I dont love them either but we couldnt find 2 more) and then was lucky enough to get Vlad coming back. I just feel like on the weeks he gets one start he may only produce 15-20 points when a bat at 1 gives you 30-40 every week (depedning on point system)But in this case, I'm not sure it matters.I have him in an H2H, and it's stupid what his single start does each week. Yeah, it will be dependent on the point system. 1 normal start for Johan in my HTH league = 25-35 points. 2 normal starts = 40-70 points. No bat can match that outside the top 3-4 players, and they TEND to be streakier than Johan.I think by taking him 1st in a H2H league you are losing a lot in terms of not having a bat. Santana may be the exception to the rule - I take closers and hitters, and then will pick up free agents who are pitching 2x. If they can give me at least a 25 in 2 starts, I'll take it.Yeah, it will be dependent on the point system. 1 normal start for Johan in my HTH league = 25-35 points. 2 normal starts = 40-70 points.
