Marvin wants a SS that can cover and tackle.. I don't think there is one available that's worth a 2nd.An SS for Madieu?
Pollard intrigues me. Harper is going to make a team very happy, imo. Not the fastest guy, but that's what Madieu is for. Harper is a true defensive QB, awesom intangibles... star at the Senior Bowl.Marvin wants a SS that can cover and tackle.. I don't think there is one available that's worth a 2nd.An SS for Madieu?
“Not as important as it is with most people because I don’t think we can split the ball any more ways,” Lewis said. “I don’t think there’s a team that has a tight end that catches 50, 60 balls that has two receivers go for 1,000 plus yards and a running back that runs for more than 1,500 yards. I’m still waiting for someone to point that out to me.“When I became the head coach here, there was expressed a concern of an inability to run the ball consistently (partly because of a lack of tight ends). We need to be able to do that and we’ve accomplished that. We have to continue to be able to do that.”
My bad - a FS to replace KaesviharnAn SS for Madieu?
OK. Cincinati selects Jared from Subway, CB, Subway Restaurants. He's trimmed down and now has elite speed to go with his size. Plays with a voracious appetite and over-enunciates the word "fat."I need a sec, if someone wants to do Cincy that's great...
You were right, I was confusing. Williams is a good FS. He needs a partner with a normal last name.My bad - a FS to replace KaesviharnAn SS for Madieu?
I guess it could be just talk, but I thought Marvin Lewis was making sense in those comments about his O and TE needs.I like Jennings here. Kiper has him in the first round. SS seems like a bigger worry though...I'd go TE. Byrd is very nice.
But Cincy could go DB. Jennings?
Passrush. Dumervil?

Will Allen is supposed to re-sign, but I imagine a cover corner would look good here. I was all set to give Jennings as a pick for the Giants, but you inexplicably gave him to Cincinnati over Jared, so who's the best cover CB left?2.23 Cincy Bengals - Kelly Jennings, CB, Miami (FL) - Jennings is a little slender and admits he has to get tougher against the run, but he also brags about his tackling. There is no questioning his cover skills and speed. He's been moving up in most mocks, and we have him a little low here, so there it is. A cover corner for Marv.
2.24 Giants - Took Demeco Ryans in the first and need DB help in the worst possible way...
A good suggestion. Burress gives them the possession guy. They need a deep threat for Eli.WR? Toomer is getting up there in age and the young guys keep getting hurt and haven't done much

How was this guy's combine? He was projected in the third with upside before.2.24 New York Giants - Danieal Manning, DB, Abilene Christian - The first small schooler off the board is a nice NFL talent. He can play corner or safety. He had a solid Senior Bowl against the Div 1ers and Scott Wright considers him the sleeper of the draft.
2.25 Chicago - Chicago took Leonard Pope, TE in the first. They have a nice OL, but it is getting old in spots. The defense is rock solid, but they would love to move Peanut to FS, or find a FS. Watkins is interesting. One of the corners is a thought. Whitworth might be nice depth on the OL.
sounds like an OLB the Colts would target in the 2nd- gbnreport had him going to them and i was worried, but hadn't read thatThinking out of the box for the Bears. Jon Alston had a crazy combine for a 220 pound OLB. He is projected to safety. Pete Carroll called him the best LB he has seen in college. Lovie would be free to let Mike Brown play FS, where he is solid. Alston would take time to develop, like Davis in Carolina-- similar guys.
I like Watkins better. 6-4 and a half and 4.42 in the 40. He would be solid and Tillman stays at corner, where he isn't terrible, just inconsistent and getting better. No OL suggestions?Best DB available- Pat Watkins or Zemiatis
Watkins and Whitworth were both impressive at the Combine. I think Watkins is kind of tall, but he ran with the short guys in all the tests. He's a guy I would love to see in Dallas. How was this guy's combine? No I meant Manning but thanks for the update on the other two. I don't normally follow the combine that closely.Watkins and Whitworth were both impressive at the Combine.
