Is FantasyStar down for everyone? I'm sweating with the only WR that did anything for me was Calvin. Plus I need Cutler (-0) just like many people.I get this error:Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /home2/fflstar/public_html/forums/Sources/QueryString.php on line 162
My web host was having problems, as others have noted, its back up and resolved.

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but if you download Lineup Dominator, you can input your team and get a preview based on the predictions.

Which I think I wish I hadn't.

122 predicted points

And, just to prove I should strive for greater reading comprehension skills, I just realized that passing TDs were 6 points. :)
Might make for some good "projection accuracy" discussion.Dodd's has me at 121 (I had D scoring wrong above)

2nd Opinion has me at 118.2

Both of which I hope are really wrong on the low side.
After fixing the lineup setup in Lineup Dominator, here's the final results against the predictions:Dodds: 131.1

2nd opinion: 128.9

Actual: 148

Not too far off, but I hope that's a trend of being ~20 points low, since my projections for the rest of the season are all right around potential cut lines.

I know you were all wondering how my team is doing so here it is...

I'm sitting at 101.90 with only one guy remaining for tonights game. Randy Moss (-0.0).

If the 2008 Randy Moss comes to play, I'm doomed.

If the 2007 Randy Moss comes to play, I'll see you next week.

a big night by Cutler/Marshall could move the cutoff quite a bit. if i was close and didn't have either of those guys, i'd be :lmao:

120.5 w/ Prater (-4). Way too close for comfort, but since I didn't even have a QB this week (Romo/Warner), the fact that I'm even ahead of the cut line to this point is better than I thought I'd be.

I'm not so sure, you know the Pats are going to try and take Marshall away tonight, and I hope they are successful.

I think the main reason the number jumps tonight is Cutler. He is owned by a lot of teams, and I am sure he is the only qb playing this week on several rosters. That means there could be a bunch of teams under the cut line that will get all of Cutlers score. Marshall is owned by a lot of teams, and with injuries and byes I am sure if he has a good game that will raise a bunch of scores a significant amount. I am hoping it raises mine by 10 or more tonight.I am sure a math mind canl explain this better.

I'm moving on with 161.25 from a tough week of byes.

Some guys really stepped up and had big games: Schaub overcame Brees' bad day, Shockey played and scored well, Kasay was my only kicker and put up 15, and the biggest surprise was Nate Washington who scored 14.3 for me when I had to have it (only 3 WR's playing).

I don't have a single player on bye next week, so I should be on to week 9!!!

I get the idea... ;)

145.2 with Marshall (-9.60) and NE defense (-7) left. With no QB this week, I am shocked that I get to live another week.

I can't believe you just jinxed yourself like that. ;)

If I can't make it through one of the bye weeks where I don't have a single player out, I don't stand much of a chance in the long run. But, yeah, I thought twice before I posted that one....

 116.3 with Cutlet (-21), Marshall and Gaffney (-1) to go. If Gaffney could get a cheap TD I think I'm good, otherwise

Was at 101 yesterday afternoon with Garcia and Marshall to go. Garcia's flawless game bumped me up to 126.80. Still biting my nails with the projected cutoff at 115.10.

What's the average points that the cut has gone up from Sunday to Monday night?TIA:praying:
Anybody have this info ?TIA
I do not know this for sure, but I would guess the avg. jump over the weeks have been 5-10pts.
I can deal with 10 at the most, any more than that and I'm hurting at 125.00
Went back through this thread (note figures are rounded):Week 6 increase was 2.8 pts.Week 5 increase was 7.5 pts.Week 4 increase was 5.2 pts.Week 3 increase was 10 pts.Didn't bother going back any further.

10+ even going back through last year is unusual, but not unheard of. It tends to happen when the score is already low, and there are big scores from widely held players. Tonight seems like one of those nights, with cutler and marshall poised to put some numbers up. As others have stated, there is a pretty large group of teams with no QB score yet that are counting on him to pay off. I'm definitely glad I have both of them and I'm already on the good side (although just barely). If they flop, I should be OK, and if they go off, my score should raise much faster than the cut since they both count basically immediately.I'm pretty much guessing a 15-20 point rise tonight. I will be working the fantasy star database when I get home tonight (probably about 2nd quarter) to let the thread know how things are progressing. FYI, putting Dodd's projections in the database for just Cutler and Marshall pushes the cut +15...hang on if you don't have a dog in the race!

i wouldve been toast without edwards this week (warner and romo both out)got lucky he played

Stats on MNF players, for all teams still alive...

QB's

Jay Cutler ($14) - owned by 26.3% (1318)

Tom Brady ($42) - owned by 1.2% - injured reserve (59)

RB's

Selvin Young ($21) - owned by 9.8% (493) - limited in practice, unlikely to make any real difference even if he does play)

Lamont Jordan ($5) - owned by 3.8% (191) - doubtful for tonight

Ryan Torain ($5) - owned by 1.8% (88) - questionable for tonight, also unlikely to make an impact for this week

Michael Pittman ($4) - owned by 1.3% (66)

Kevin Faulk ($6) - owned by 1.0% (52)

Sammy Morris ($9) - owned by 0.5% (23)

Laurence Maroney ($33) - owned by 0.4% (22) - doubtful for tonight

WR's

Brandon Marshall ($23) - owned by 42.2% (2113)

Jabar Gaffney ($7) - owned by 8.4% (423)

Wes Welker ($32) - owned by 2.8% (138)

Brandon Stokley ($5) - owned by 2.3% (115) - recent concussion; not expected to play tonight

Randy Moss ($47) - owned by 2.0% (102)

Darrell Jackson ($5) - owned by 1.7% (87) - gimpy ankle, but should be active

Chad Jackson ($6) - owned by 0.3% - free agent now, but was a Patriot when contest started (13)

TE's

Tony Scheffler ($16) - owned by 4.6% (231) - isn't expected to be active tonight

Ben Watson ($10) - owned by 4.1% (204)

K's

Matt Prater ($1) - owned by 24.1% (1206)

Stephen Gostkowski ($5) - owned by 3.3% (164)

D's

New England Patriots ($5) - owned by 8.8% (442)

Denver Broncos ($3) - owned by 1.4% (70)

Looking at the numbers above, the only players that will contribute significantly to raising the cutoff will be Cutler, Marshall, Gaffney, Prater, and the Patriots defense. All other players are either injured or aren't owned at a high enough percentage to make a huge impact.

124.9 with Marshall (-3.1) going tonight... Hopefully, I make it past this week as I was one of those with Romo/Warner/Ryan and got 0 from the QB spot.

Are there people on here really incapable of tabulating their own score by hand?
I could carve out my own baseball bat. Doesn't mean I have the time to do it.
Are you really THAT dumb?
What exactly is your problem? Last year I tracked my own scores. Of course, that meant spending time each Monday/Tuesday going to the box scores of a dozen games, picking out my players, getting their stats and doing the math. Trust me, the math was the quick part. Now, through the kindness of OC, I click on a link and in two seconds I see my score. Why, exactly, does this deserve ridicule and scorn? The site has problems, so people here post to alert OC. Why, exactly, does that deserve ridicule and scorn? If you are somehow empowered by doing the searching and calculating yourself, wonderful. I can respect the "do it myself" mentality, but I don't see why that requiires insulting those who don't. If, on the other hand, you are empowered only by ridiculing those who don't, then you have issues.

hopefully i can squeeze by (Turner, DeSean Jackson, Romo, Nugent, Courtney Taylor with zeroes) with my only QB being Brees

i sit 13 behind projected cutoff with:

BMarsh (0.00 & 6.20)

Gaffney (0.00 & 6.20)

Prater (0.00)

assuming Gaffney scores less than 6.20 i need BMarsh and Prater to score about 20 just to be safe

will be for nought though if Romo doesn't man up an play during Brees bye week cause those are the only two QBs i have (not liking that gamble now as much as i was 1 week ago when 26.5 was the LOWEST QB scoring week I had)

I am happy with the $13 I invested in my 3 QB's. Two of them have saved me from elimination. I wish I was as happy with my WR's and TE's. Kurt Warner $5 15.45 36.05 20.60 32.60 25.50 22.70 Matt Ryan $4 13.85 6.90 17.10 9.00 22.30 21.15 Kyle Orton $4 8.50 7.35 25.50 25.95 29.70 20.30

I'd sure like to go back in time and reallocate the $4 I spent on the wasted roster space of Jacoby Jones or Hagan, and picked up Ryan as #3. At least now, I don't have to worry about byes for Ben or Garrard anymore.

Cutler/Warner/xxxxxx owners still alive

Romo 110

McNabb 54

Schuab 90

Orton 15

Brady 2

Croyle 2

Edwards 4

Garrand 57

Garcia 16

Hasselbeck 1

Kitna 12

Pennington 15

Roth 11

Young 13

Can somone post the fantasystar link? Thanks.

That's pretty cool. Thumbsup to whoever did that. I stand at 125.25 and I'm done. I hope it stays true. I did have Stokley but don't think he's playing tonight. THe things I would have done differently.... Losing Romo is big for me as I only have ELI and my RB's are not great. Each year I get a little further. LOL

Well said.

126.1 and done. Hoping for a low scoring game or rushing TD's. Taking a 0 at one WR spot and only 6 as my best of three defenses could kill me. Was hoping for more from Jason Cambell in the one week that I needed him also. Hoping to slip through and get McNabb/Warner/Fitz & DeSean back to make a run.

How many times did Jamal Lewis fail to score from the 1 yard line? :goodposting: Could have used a few more points in the clutch this week since he has been uselss all year.

I will be kicking myself is switching from the Bears D to the Bucs to save a buck ends up costing me this week.

166.45!! Schaub and Slaton have been money...saved my ### this week w/ McNabb on a bye and Kitna done for the year...Megatron and Santana Moss have also been awesome most weeks. I really like my team this year...by far the strongest club i've put together and the longest i've lasted.

ETA: Portis has been by far my best performer..he's been absolute MONEY every week. his worst showing was 14.5...most weeks 20+...

Jennings for me. He's counted all 7 weeks, even his measley 6.2 this week.

#117 overall last week, 79.90 through Sunday and cut this week

Warner/Romo

Addai/Barber/Hester/Rice/R. Williams/Slaton

Breaston/R. Brown/Crayton/Marshall/Northcutt/Wayne

Royal/Utecht

K. Brown/Hanson/Prater/Reed

Houston/Seattle

Done in ultimately by Romo and Addai's injures and Wayne's pathetic game.

Case Study: Tight End By Committee (TEBC)

TE - Greg Olsen - 10

TE - Anthony Fasano - 3

TE - Robert Royal - 2

TE - Dustin Keller - 2

My goal was to have at least 50% of my flex scoring come from the TE position. Results so far...

Week 1 Fasano 26 Royal 20

Week 2 Olsen 4 RBFlex 9

Week 3 Fasano 17 Keller 16

Week 4 Olsen 16 Keller 10

Week 5 Olsen 13 Fasano 9

Week 6 Olsen 9 WRFlex 14

Week 7 Olsen 22 RBFlex 16

Flex position from TE in 4 of 7 weeks so far.

Olsen scoring at TE position in 5 of 7 weeks so far.

Avg TE scoring ~15

Avg Flex scoring ~13.5

Because you care....
