Is it me, or does this thread just seem to be mostly examples of people ripping other people off. Not to pick on Coltswin, most of the trades in this thread seem to be this way. Funny thing is, the guy posting is usually the one doing the ripping off.

No worries, like i said, no offense to you, thats a great trade for you. Its just that most of the trades in this thread are not really examples of players true trade value.

Agreed and the most recent VJax trades have been ridiculous. Who are these people that treat their dynasty team like a redraft?

I agree that this is a bad one, but I think a lot of the trades have to be taken within the context of the league/teams. Maybe sometimes an explaination w/ the trade would be better. For example, the recent Fitz trade I posted - I traded Fitz in that one (for bowe/garcon/2012 #1, other stuff). My rationale was I had Fitz and Stewy as my only players. I was going to be starting both Avery and Aroma as wr's w/ fitz, and still needed another guy, plus have nobody to back Stew - the team is a mess (I took it over earlier this year). In other words, I need more quality players, even if they aren't the top elite. Personally, I feel Bowe/Garcon will be a nice WR tandem for me (I was already offered a player and a 2011 #1 for Garcon - a lot of people like him). It's a gamble, but one I feel is worth it, because I truly think Bowe is a solid WR, and will have a nice year. Is he Fitz? No. Is he capable of 85/10? Yea, he is, and I think we'll see that. I feel strongly enough about this that it makes this trade (to me) nowhere near the slam dunk for the other guy that some might think it is. Bowe will make losing Fitz at least somewhat bearable, and Garcon has a good chance to be a very viable FF WR. I can move that 2012 #1 in another deal to get better elsewhere, etc. I'm cool w/ it, even though some will think the other team "stole" Fitz.

12 team ppr - start 1-2-3-1-1-1

Team a - Tom Brady and Percy Harvin

Team b - Calvin Johnson

seemed like a decent trade to me, team b had a couple other stud like receivers and no QB. Team A had brees and brady...

That's an OK trade in a start 2 QB league, but it's not a start 2 QB league.

if it was a start 2 qb league I dont think the guy with brady and brees would have ever done it

You can write an entire novel, but that trade giving up Fitz is horrible.

Fitting considering the previous discussion about terrible trades.
I agree 100%. I had sent an offer for Rodgers in this league, but then a deal for Rivers worked out for me and I withdrew it...and then the guy said "I wish I'd seen this sooner I may have accepted..." He's a new guy, not sure if he's the greatest owner, but I was at that place 5 years ago too, and you gotta learn somehow.Of course, I'm high on Moore, QBs only get 4 per TD, and it's PPR for Marshall......but Hendersona nd a 2011 3rd are both useless, and I wouldn't even take that for just Rodgers, let alone adding in Jennings.

PPR, 12 teamer, all picks are 2010 rookie/free agent picks

Team A gives up: 1.12, Owen Daniels, and 2.12

Team B gives up: Randy Moss, 3.01, and 4.08

12 team PPRTeam A gave up: Bowe, Garcon, AGonz (indy), Chaz Schilens, Alex Smith (SF), 2012 #1Team B gave up: Fitz
To evaluate a trade like this, we really need to know starting requirements and roster limits.
I don't think it matters what the starting requirments are or roster limits.I will take Fitz every day in a deal like this. I am always going for the best player in a draft when I make a trade and Bowe is the only player even decent though Garcon is a nice player.

Who the heck are playing in these leagues this is a just a redonkulous trade.I would not give up Vincent Jackson straight up for those 3 players.

I post all my trades. For the most part. Few said I got robbed on some. Guess if you trade enough you get some good and some bad.

I also thought it would be a lot closer to fair if Jennings wasn't included.

Off topic a bit, but i almost always do the opposite. I usually try to trade a guy whose value has peaked for two or more younger, up and coming players.

I dont like Brandon Marshall, and i love Rodgers, but no way i would trade Marshall for Rodgers in a 4 pt. TD pass and PPR league.

12 team, PPR, (2010 rookie/free agent picks)

Team A gives up: Matthew Stafford, Kenny Britt, 3.01

Team B gives up: 1.04 (picked Dez Bryant), 3.04, 4.04

Yeah you're right, in most cases. I am only saying it is closer to fair.If I had 3 elite WRs and could sell one to go from Garrard and Moore to Rodgers, I would do the deal. Even if I had to give up Moore and Garrard on top.Of course, I bilked this same guy once last year so I probably shouldn't talk.

Team A gets: Calvin Johnson, Ryan Matthews, Darren SprolesTeam B gets: Frank Gore, Miles Austin, Glen Coffee
Pretty even trade, but I would take team A's side myself.
I am team B here, and this was a tough one for me. Team A is in more of a rebuild mode as I feel like I'm a contender. This makes my starting RB's Chris Johnson, Gore and D. Williams with D Jackson, Ausitin and R. White as WR. I might lose a little bit in youth but I feel like I am getting a bump in scoring. But I feel this is a very good trade for both teams.

No way Jose.

A serious head scratcher here especially since the guy giving up 2 picks is probably the worst team in the league so those picks are likely in the 11-12 range.

Harlem gave up

Year 2011 Round 2 Draft Pick from Harlem

Year 2012 Round 2 Draft Pick from Harlem

Tasmania gave up

Williams, Carnell TBB RB

Los Angeles gave up

Delhomme, Jake CLE QB

Brown, Ronnie MIA RB

Huntington gave up

Boldin, Anquan BAL WR

Another head scratcher. I would rather have Boldin who is going to be good for the next 3-4 years over a RB that is already 28 and breaking down every season.

I agree. I love Calvin, so it's just a matter of personal preference. San Fran did bump up their line through the draft, and they have plenty of weapons on the outside to keep defenses honest. I look for Gore to be extremely productive the next 2 seasons. Like you said though, even trade.

I agree. Hell, I just moved R Brown/R Williams for Devin Hester in a PPR league.

I disagree. I think it is a HUGE buy low for Ronnie. He is a beast and will come back healthy. Now is the time to get him.

Well, youre kind of right. Now is the time to get him, because this is likely the last year he has any FF value left. As far as him being a huge buy low, thats way off. At best he is a RB2 for someone trying to make a run this year. Other than that, he is worthless.

14 Team league with a super-flex allowing a 2nd QB to start each week. .5/1/1.5 RB/WR/TE PPR scoring.

Team A gave:

Mendenhall

Josh Morgan

Jacoby Jones

2010 1.13

Team B gave:

Ahmad Bradshaw

Kevin Kolb

Mark Sanchez

2010 2.14

I was team A. Needed to restock the QB's as Cutler was my only one. The ability to start 2 QB's makes starters fairly scarce in this league imo. Kolb & Sanchez need some time to develop, but should be given plenty of time to do so and have the weapons to target. I'm not sold on Mendenhall long term, and had the depth at RB to deal him.
