2012 In Season Dynasty Trade Thread (3 Viewers)

12 team League, 26 man Rosters. I'm 6-2 and made this trade for one last push:Gave upVickDonald BrownRussell WIlsonCrabtree2013 1stReceiveCamBritt
Why?If it is a last push for this year, I think Cam and Vick are a push from here out and Crabtree is better than Britt for this year. Rebuilding I like the trade except you gave up a 1st.

Team C gave up Henderson, Devery NOS WR; Year 2013 Round 1 Draft Pick (probably top 6)Team D gave up Richardson, Daryl STL RB
Do you mind sharing the format? I like Richardson, but wouldn't trade a pick that could be top 5 for him. Pead will get a shot as well, and is the better buy, based on price, in my opinion.

That's a great trade regardless of what kind of team you have in my opinion.

Last week in a 12 team PPR, I had the 2nd lowest PPG and am 3-4. I decided to call off the dogs and play for next season.I traded: Romo, Spiller, Bowe, Manningham, Meachem, Balt DI got: Stafford, MJD, D. Murray, Alex Green, P. Garcon, PettigrewI needed depth at RB very badly. Only have Spiller, Beanie, B. Powell, W. Powell, Hillis
So you dealt Spiller, a horse RB at top 6 PPG average for two injured RBs and one that can't average even 10 points per with nothing else in the backfield?
I like the trade for him though, especially in terms of building for the future.. Huge upgrade at QB with a guy almost ten years younger. A solid young TE in Pettigrew. Slight downgrade at WR, depending on where Bowe ends up. And he gets the two for one at RB.

It's a dynasty league. All of this isn't enough for Cam alone. Let alone also getting the best WR in the deal by a good margin.

Without boring everyone with my team, My QBs were Vick, Fitz, Wilson and Flynn. Awful now and worse in the future. The Cam owner hasn't been starting him and has fallen in love with Manning who he's starting instead, so I thought now was the time to pounce. Getting Britt as well I thought was brilliant, but I'm the driver of the Britt bandwagon and have high hopes in the future for him

You did very well here. You bought low on two very valuable dynasty assets that are almost certain to rebound. It was a steal IMO.

The Cam/Britt side wins easily. Crabtree isn't going to win you a title and if you don't like Britt for the playoffs you could move him for someone like Colston who's got a good schedule. Vick, Brown, Wilson and a 1st for Cam - I'd do that every day.

Oh fellas... Nowhere did I mention I didn't think the deal was a good value deal..the comments are what struck me as odd.

When do you likely see Jenkins starting? Next year? Year three? Gambling that Wallace ends up back in Pittsburgh? Pretty curious as to why you did this deal. I only own Sanders in one dynasty, but Jenkins in about three to four leagues.

Rosters are super small in that league, so the main reason was just clearing some space. My team is garbage and Benson likely wouldn't have been a difference maker for me this year or next, so he was expendable. I favor Jenkins slightly over Sanders. Is it a big gap? No, not really. When do I see Jenkins starting? Moss and Ginn are on one year deals if I'm not mistaken. Manningham is no better than a third receiver. That leaves Jenkins battling Williams and maybe a rookie or FA signing for a possible starting job next year. I think he can win that battle. He needs to gain weight and improve his ability to beat the jam, but he was a first round pick for a reason. He has great speed and is very quick in his routes. I think he's a decent "what the heck" guy to take a punt on in dynasty leagues because of where he was drafted. The Harbaugh Niners generally do a good job of evaluating talent. If they thought this guy was worth their first pick then why not take a chance on him? Harbaugh has maintained that Jenkins is doing well and will turn out fine.

I'm not disagreeing with anything you said really, but Harbaugh saying Jenkins is doing well means little, if anything, to me. If Jenkins was sucking it up (he could be) Harbaugh would still probably have to say something similar at this point. Also, I think you *might* be selling Manningham a bit short. I think he has the goods to be a decent enough #2 (never a #1 though), so if Jenkins doesn't develop I could easily see Manningham locking in the #2 and producing (at least as much as the 9er's #2 can produce). Just my .02.

12 team pprTeam A receives: IngramTeam B receives: McGahee
Think Team B did a good job getting McGahee for Ingram at this point. I am thinking about trying to get Ingram myself, looks like my potential offer of a 4th would be an insult

Mox league, my one team out of four fell out of contention.

Gave:

Colston

FreddyJackson

Got:

J.Blackmon

Hankerson

B.Pierce

2013 1st rounder likely later 7-12 range

The 49ers only signed Manningham to a 2 year deal so they weren't that sold on him as their long term #2. He's not bad, but they want Jenkins to be the starter. Whether that happens next is uncertain though. I'd like to see Jenkins get stronger - if he could gain 5-10 lbs. that would would help him a lot.

I'm 4-4 in a non ppr 12 team. Rbs are Bradshaw sproles spiller Jennings. WRs are Calvin Julio Percy lance Randall

Would give Calvin

Would get Doug Martin and miles Austin.

Helluva trade.
thinking I didnt get enough?
Yeah, why didn't you ask for Trent Richardson while you were at it. ;) For comparison, Colston was just traded in my league for Fred Davis, LaFell and a 2013 1st (1.07 or later).

The FFPC had the trade deadline last night and some crazy trades were going around. Just a few trades I seen made in these high stakes leagues (From $500 to $2500)

PPR league with TE's 1.5 PPR

Here are some of the trades this week

Gates for Vincent Brown + 3rd

Freeman + 3rd for a 1st

Little + D-Richardson for S-Greene

Ridley + Vereen + B-Bolden for F-Jackson

G-Jennings for R-Jennings

Finley for Myers + A-Green

Welker for Garcon + Gresham + 3rd

Mike Williams + 2nd for P-Thomas

Austin + A-Green + 4th for MJD + G-Jennnings

V-Davis + Amendola + 5th for Cruz + Dreessen

McFadden for Dem Thomas

Dez Byrant for Rudolph + 4th

Bradshaw + 1st for McGahee + 2nd

Ray Rice + Garcon + (2) 2nds for Murray + D-Richardson + T-Smith + 1st

D-Brown + Hartline for a 1st

J-Nelson for Colston + 1st

F-Davis + S-Moss + Meachem + 1st/3rd/4th for Olsen + Pitta

Gronkowski + Redman + Dwyer for (3) 1st + V-Davis + M-Ryan + Daniel Thomas

Team A (me) givesJames JonesLikely low 2nd Round 2013 pickTeam B givesJonathan Stewart
Great move for Stewart. The asking price in my dynasty is actually a first round pick from a team with a losing record or a top 20 WR under the age of 30 from the J-Stew owner.

Gave:

David Wilson

Pierre Thomas

Got:

DeMarco Murray

Mike Thomas

Thoughts? I think the other owner sold low on one of the few true workhorse backs in the league, who's only 24. It's all about touches. And Murray gets them, when healthy. The Cowboys will invest in the OL and his injuries, despite the "injury-prone" label, have all been random and incidental, not chronic.

That worked out well for me today :banned:

Start 1qb/2rb/3wr/1te/1 flex (any)/idp

Gave:

Donnie Avery (1 year left)

Kevin Ogletree (2 years left)

Received:

2014 2nd

Didn't really need either. Cashed in after Ogletree had a decent 2nd game. I would have lost Avery at the end of the season anyhow. I guess a pretty meh trade overall. But the 2nd could land a high upside offensive or an elite IDP.

12 team, .5PPR.

I traded: A Roberts

I received: Ingram

Feel like I sold low on Roberts, but I need RBs. Roberts was WR7 for me, behind Green, Harvin, Julio, Cobb, D Moore and A Brown.

I like the trade in a vacuum. Ingram is a buy for me and Roberts a sell. With your roster, it is a no-brainer for you, in my opinion.

I've noticed you like Ingram. I tried to get him with a 2013 3rd, but the owner wants a 2nd, which I dont have after using it to acquire J.Stew. Out of interest, why do you see him as a buy?

I am simply a believer in his talent. I didn't think he was elite as a prospect, when many did, so a couple years ago I would have been on the opposite side of the consensus. But I don't think what we saw at Bama was mirage. I think he has a strong lower body, strong vision, great quickness, and great drive to be great. He is a punch line around this forum, mostly because of the pre-draft hype. It's easy to pile on and call the guy a bust. But what RB drafted in the first round has been completely given up on after 170 carries? None that come to mind, for me.One thing that I did find concerning was seeing him at the Bama/LSU game - he looks HUGE! I hope he isn't putting on too much weight trying to be simply the goal line back that NO is using him as. I just think the price/upside is in the favor of the owner getting Ingram in most deals.
