2012 Offseason Dynasty Trades (2 Viewers)

$225 Salary cap PPR - IDP dynasty

Traded

Helu $24

Starks $10

Hernandez $10

Lofton $3

for

R. Bush $27

Daniel Thomas $47

Ingram $20

Vernon Davis $10

Weddle $5

Will probably drop Thomas because of salary and redraft cheaper if necessary, just want to make sure Bush survives camp.

Honestly, just not prepared to play the Shenanigans game and I can't trust the recent Starks Hype.

I think that's an awful lot to pay for a RB coming back from injury and now with a TD vulture like Hillis around.
I agree, that is a lot to give for Charles, but its a risk I can see you taking. If it works out you got a top 5 talent, if not you'll be regretting trading ingram , I personally just traded for Ingram so I like his potential.

I need some input because I just made a fairly 1 sided trade.

I gave

Romo, Tebow and Brandon Marshall

For

Aaron Rodgers, CJ Spiller

It was intended to be an opening offer to negotiate from but he accepted it. Guy has been playing FF off and on for 20 years but just recently rejoined the league. I knew he likes Dallas and is a huge Bears fan so I used that. I feel bad now. Is the trade so bad I need to see about reversing it or should I attempt to give him a little something more or just say screw it he made the deal?

Looks fair to me. He might have even gotten the better end of it. Marshall could put up big numbers this year.

Team A gave up:

Brown, Antonio PIT WR

Jones, Marvin CIN WR

Year 2014 Round 3 Draft Pick from Malvern Monsters

Team B gave up:

Wilson, David NYG RB

Meachem, Robert SDC WR

Team B got hosed...

EDIT: This is the guy who just drafted Wilson with the 1.09 this year. I think he'll be banging his head when Wilson is starting next year.

a win-now move for an aging WR in a 12 team, Keep 12, non-ppr league:

Got: Reggie Wayne WR INDY

Gave: 2012 4.11 and 2013 3rd round pick (assuming lower half of the round)

Thought it was low-risk for a potential WR2 or WR3 in a league that only keeps 12, so you can't really keep deep sleepers anyway.

You might think Team B lost, but what if Meachem doesn't improve in SD and Antonio Brown overtakes Wallace? Both are very real possibilities.

Don't know about that. In a start 1rb 1wr 2 flex ppr league shonn green is about worthless. And I'd say Ingram has just as much injury concern as Charles. And Charles has put up top 5 rb numbers with a td vulture around and getting the fewer carries in the past

Miles Austin is a big piece here, I don't know why he's being ignored. He's at worst a good #2 fantasy WR with #1 upside. I think it's a fair enough trade but I'd take Austin/Ingram/Greene

Might add that it is not ppr, where Marshall is more valuable. Glad that it might not be as 1-sided as I thought.
Sorry I didn't quote the original post and reply but it's the 2 posts just above this one, if that is what the ??? is for.
I think he may be saying that Marshall is actually more valuable in ppr than non-ppr.
That's what Papa Georgio says. "It is not PPR" is followed by an appositive, giving more information about PPR, that says "where Marshall is more valuable." He''s saying that Marshall is more valuable in a PPR league, so he's less valuable in that trade.

Yes thanks, that is how I intended it to read. Sorry if it was poorly written.

Curious on people's thoughts here. I gave up Julio, but was in desperate need of a QB and I don't think Dez is a huge dropoff.
I like Julio a lot more then Dez, no character concerns and he's a lot better athlete overall. That said Luck is a gold mine in a 2qb league and he's the most valuable player in the deal under that format.Overall it's a solid trade both ways, and due to it being a start 2qb league I prefer the Luck side.

I like the Austin, Ingram and Greene side.
Don't forget that Team A not only got Charles but also cleared two roster spots and thus was able to fill those spots with free agents. In my experience, the value of roster spots tends to be underappreciated.

.5 PPR Dynasty

Team A gives

Ryan Williams

Team B gives

Donald Brown

Who wins?
If Team B has Wells, even trade. If not, I prefer Brown but they're close in value from what I can tell...

Agree wholeheartedly.

Just had this one overturned by the commish.. 12 team IDP Dynasty... we roster 55 players .5 ppr

Team A gives J cutler and Desean Jackson..

Team B gives J. P-Paul and a 3rd and 4th round pick in the ongoing rookie draft..

Commish said Team B got to good of a deal.. not fair.. meh.. Owners in discussion with the commish..

Backup QB and barely startable WR for a stud DE and picks? Commish needs his head checked.

Not vetoable at all, but is DJax really a "barely startable WR?" I mean you're lumping him in with the Davone Bess's of the world.

So whats best to do next.. I explained my position.. commish said rework it.. All other offers have been rejected.. The original offer was again sent and accepted.. I asked if a trade can go up for a league vote? What's the best way to handle this?

Nah, depends on starting requirements of course, but I have D-Jax as a low #2, high #3 WR. in a start 2 WR league, that's barely startable.

What's the best way to handle this?
Stick this year out and then find another league. Commish vetoes are BS unless there is collusion.

Its a deep 12 team IDP dynasty.. This is my first year in it.. Been fun so far.. All of the owners I have worked with are good guys.. 55 players rostered.. all backup QB's rostered too. Cut-one is a solid QB to a team that needs one.. If it went through the trade makes both teams and hence the league better...

Looks like the trade is going up for a league vote

On O its a super flex.. start 1 QB, 1-2 Rb's 1-5 WR's and 1-4 Te's...

Yeah, I probably could have gotten more. Team B had exactly what I was looking for though. Worth a chance. We'll see how it turns out.

12 Team PPR 1 QB, must start 2 RB with capability of up to 4.

Team A Got: Cam Newton, Marshawn Lynch, Shonn Greene, and some end of the bench guys

Team B Got: RGIII, Ingram, FJax, 3 future 2nds, and some end of the bench guys

I ain't involved but I know one team is a clear winner
