Lots of gibberish in the other thread about Cobb and Morris - but I am taking those out as this is only about WR's.

The argument on Shorts:

Hit high gear in week 6, generally scored 14-11-5-16-14-16-13-DNP

7 of 8 great were great weeks

DNP in round one of playoffs (week 14)

The argument on Alexander

Hit high in week 10, generally scored 19-21-7-10-20

4 of 5 great weeks

Scored 20 in round 1 of playoffs

First vote is mine for Shorts.

My argument:

WR 1 for half the season - Alexander for only a quarter

In the weeks where DX was productive, he outscored Shorts by 3, 7, -9, -3 (only 2 of 4 weeks)

Now Alexander did ring up huge points in week 1 of the playoffs but Shorts production is much more significant over the long haul.

Hoping Cecil tops 1K yards while finishing strong these last 3 weeks. He started out as a boom/bust deep threat and evolved into a must start once he cracked the Jags lineup. Tremendous foundation with Blackmon for Jax to build their passing game around going forward.

DX is a unstoppable physical force. 6'5" 217, able to get separation, tremendous ball skills, able to make guys look silly off screens. The only limit to his production has always been his health. Simply amazing a guy with a snap count limit of 25 per game for the last couple years has played 94% the last 3 weeks. Dude is capable of monster games playing alongside an inconsistent supporting cast and erretic QB. Much respect.

I'd go with DX because last week was huge for a lot of us (I own both). But the tale has yet to be fully told - we'll see what the next two weeks brings.

Cobb would be my choice:

Edit: didnt read the whole OP until after. Why is Cobb taken out if we're only talking WRs?
