2013 All-Punk Team, long overdue. (1 Viewer)

Footballguy
Week 1 these players IMO have elevated themselves to another level on the All Punk team, all of them i believe have been All-Pro at one point, certainly Pro-Bowls. I've got a DLineman, LB, and DB to get things started.

Clay Mathews III(All-Pro): I was a fan when he first started off in the league and I could be brought back to his side but right now after what I saw on Sunday, not a fan. He launched himself at CK and no matter what you can seriously injure someone like that. CK is dancing about all game, plenty of times to hit him legally, no need to hit him out of bounds because you are jealous he is so good. Lost a lot of respect for this All-Pro, been in the league 5 years, has 4 Pro-Bowls, guy is well liked by many fans but that type of play is gonna land you on the ALL-Punk team where you don't want to be.

Ndamukong Suh(All-Pro): This guy proves himself to be a punk time and time again. I loved him coming out of college, wanted him so desperately to be the next Warren Sapp. Now Sapp had a run in with Clifton I believe from GB about 10 years ago but mostly he was not looked at as a cheap shot artists, he didn't need to be. Suh for whatever reason every time a jail breakout ensues, he is in the middle of it and usually trying to end a player's career. His low block on the interception return, this guy doesn't get it. Fines do not work, suspensions do not seem to matter, time to start punching the team and coaches since he doesn't understand. He's messing with a guy's right to earn a paycheck. I don't wish injuries but this guy is gonna get what's coming to him one day and it ain't gonna be pretty. All-Pro? All-Punk is more like it.

DeAngelo Hall(3 Pro Bowls): and finally my Punk ### of the week this week is gonna go to a real turd. This one was never an All Pro, no surprise but a 3 time Pro Bowler nonetheless, makes big interceptions, also gets burned on the plays he doesn't intercept the pass, and Monday night he decided to dance like Neon Deion but got mad when DeSean Jackson high stepped it one time going to the sidelines so like a little baby that had his feelings hurt he just had to jump on Jackson 5 yards out of bounds. You a punk, you always been a punk, you always gonna be a punk. Your the kid who likes to show off until it's put in your face and then you want to try and swing.

All 3 of these guys deserve lengthy suspensions, seems none of them got it form any reports I saw. I don't hate the teams so please if you are a fan, it's not hate on the team, in fact I didn't even mention the teams here because I just wanted to focus on the players. If you want to chime in, please do so.

I agree with the other two but not Hall's. It was a horse collar but honestly, Jackson was running... Hall grabbed his collar while he was well within bounds and at that point lost his footing. It's hard to let go at that point. I don't know that I see that as him being a punk. I think that one could have been an honest mistake where he just couldn't let go of him and pulled him down. Horse collar yes, holding jumping on Jackson 5 yards out of bounds... no.

Personally, I thought Matthews should have been ejected from that game. Not only did he hit him WELL out of bounds. He actually punched Joe Staley in the facemask several times after the play and SOMEHOW STALEY got a flag. Which is still hurting my head till this very moment. As soon as I saw Clay throwing punches I thought he was ejected easily. Nope nothing, Staley gets a flag for nothing more than getting in Clay's face to protect his QB. That was ridiculous and the NFL should suspend Matthews if he has one more slip up like this in my opinion.

Reaaaaally? Come on. Crazy idea- let got of the inside of his shoulder pad when its clear youre three yards out of bounds and about to drag him down (possibly with a broken leg).... especially considering you arent supposed to be grabbing him there anyway. Every one of these dirty hits some homer comes up with an excuse for why it wasnt what it looked like.

If you have NFLR, watch that game again, they were jawing back and forth, Jackson shows him up just a hair and then the magic horse collar can't let go play...I'm sure Suh justifies his hit, Mathews as well, doesn't change what they did IMO.

This is slightly off topic, but is Kaepernick as much of a d***** bag as he looks? I haven't watched any of his interviews, but every time I see him I think of Ryan Braun... easily the biggest d***** of the MLB.

Two things:

One: I'm actually a Giants fan... I can't stand either of these teams. I'm taking Hall's side on this because it's correct.

Two: Here's a video clip of the tackle, it's blurry. But you can clearly see that Hall initiates the tackle a good 4-5 yards in bounds and his feet fall out from under him. Again, it was a blatant horse collar but he really did get his hands stuck in his pads as far as my eyes can see.

Mike Wallace
Mike Wallace(Pro Bowl): You are a punk for receiving $60M in the off season and then crying like a ##### because you only caught 1 ball and your football team won by 2 TDs...you got paid $750,000 for 1 single catch Sunday...do the math.

Excellent FP!
At least he wants to contribute

To me it would be worse if he didn't care that he only caught one pass. That would show that he just wanted to get paid and now he's mailing it in.

The theme here everyone are prominent players. These 3 in the OP absolutely deserve to be there week 1. If you saw some really cheap hits let's hear about them. I saw Vick take a spear the other night, not sure the Redskin who did it off the top of my head but it wasn't an All-Pro.

Michael Vick could be a nominee, appreciate his enthusiasm but diving into piles is gonna get him on IR quicker than anything. It would not be hard to gain support for putting him on the list but for now I'm gonna let it slide.

I think no name types would be candidates for the All-DBag team.

All he had to say was how happy he was the team won, he did not, he cried like a ##### to Jeff Ireland, blew off reporters, and then later tried to retract, too late.

4-5 yards? Uh no, maybe 1 yard. Which is fine, he initiates contact inbounds but he doesn't get his hands inside the pads until he's out of bounds. But then he doesnt let go. His hands were 'stuck'? Come on man.

It's at a minimum 2-3 yards and a little bit closer to 4-5 when you take into account when he actually begins the process of leaving his feet. Regardless. Have you ever tried locking your fingers in somewhere then putting 100% of your weight on them? It's not as easy as you may think to just 'release". I'm actually being very realistic here... his fingers were pushed into a spot where there's all of a 1/4" of space between Jackson's pads and his back. It's not like Hall actually pulls him down or anything, he leaves his feet and horse collars him... it's definitely worthy of the flag. But he never gets his bearings with his feet, when they do hit the ground Jackson's still running and Hall loses his feet and his weight is what pulls down Jackson.

If you're going to nominate Hall to the "All-Punk" team you have to nominate Jackson as well for getting up and punching Hall. Then on the following play throwing Crip gang signs at Hall and literally not even running his route to do so. That to me was much more "All-Punk" than Hall's horse collar tackle on Jackson.

Sure, for the all punk team nomination that is true. But as a fantasy owner, I am happy to see he wants the ball even if he does it in a not cool way. The only concern I had about Wallace this year was that he might quit after getting paid. My concern has been alleviated.

Perhaps not for what he has done on the field but off - and that is Von Miller.

Just got busted again for driving without license, speeding - that may be 3rd offense in that area- a failure to appear. - plus two failed drug tests

Oh and the failure to appear comes after he was trying to buy a gun - which he really needs.

Kenny Vaccaro - Saints DB. First, he ends his teammate Joe Morgan's season in practice, then spears Matt Ryan in the back after Ryan slid along the turf.

Early Nomination for Johnny Football, should he somehow make it to the League.

Honestly, I think the off-the-field punks are even worse. FAR worse than the on the field ones. Sure a lot of these guys are dirty and constantly in trouble for violating on the field rules (Suh, Finnegan etc) but the ones that just can't keep their nose clean off the field baffle me. You're getting paid millions and MILLIONS of dollars and all you have to do is not be a complete ####### to keep them coming. You have to not:

- Do drugs (Von Miller)

- Drive 100mph down the highway while intoxicated (here's looking at your Michael Turner)

- Murder (Aaron Hernandez I tip my glass to you)

That's really it... I understand that sometimes it's hard to get out of bad behavior but for the love of God. Can John Fox higher a driver for Von Miller already before this kid ruins his career on friggin traffic tickets? I mean seriously... you're getting paid several million dollars a year to play a game and you can't afford to pay someone a couple hundred bucks if you want to go out for the night to drive you around town so you don't get in trouble with the law?

All 3 of these guys deserve lengthy suspensions, seems none of them got it form any reports I saw. Comparing Matthews to either of those guys is laughable. He was jacked up on Sunday and made an overly aggressive play while trying to corral one of the most dynamic players in the NFL. He deserves a pass on that one.

That's the first play from Matthews in the last four years where anything remotely "cheap" could be construed.

In fact, Matthews has never been flagged for a personal foul. As in, ever, before that play.

Matthews was called for roughing the passer once in 2012, once in 2011, and once in 2009. That's the extent of his penalty history, besides a few off-sides.

http://www.nflpenalties.com/all-players.php?&year=2010

Suh does something questionable -every game- .. read through his 2011 and 2012 penalties... laundry list of questionable activities... llegal Block Above the Waist (1), Face Mask (15 Yards) (1), Unnecessary Roughness (1), Unsportsmanlike Conduct (1), Illegal Use of Hands (1), - Disqualification (1), Illegal Use of Hands (1), (1), Face Mask (15 Yards) (1), Roughing the Passer (1) -

BUT HEY WHO NEEDS FACTS AMIRITE???

Oh bull####. Guy talked smack all week, then hit a guy 5 yards out of bounds. Thats fine, but Matthews should have been tossed for throwing punches after the play. If he wasn't an NFL golden boy playing on a franchise that is favored he'd be tossed.

Agreed 100% Matthews gets away with a lot more than he would if he was say... a player on the Jags or Raiders. He's on one of "America's Teams" and he's considered one of the faces of the league. He should have been ejected and flagged again after throwing punches at Joe Staley after the clear and blatant late hit on Kaep.
