I'd throw back Zimmerman at 5. I also think Pence is pricy at 4 though I think I'd keep him anyway.

With the extra 5 I'd keep Berkman, Kennedy and Sanatan while also throwing back Francoeur.

22 SBs missed equaling his career totals by one. His 22-10 success rate is of dubious value in real-life but it's hard to argue with the managerial record of Ned Yost OBP is a fine category unless you have Jeff Francoeur on your team. He has to have a year like 2011 to be just league average in OBP. There's no question he had a productive year this year but I think he's a regression risk. A buck is a fair salary but OF is a deep position. How many teams and OF slots do you play?

Francoeur loses value in an OBP league. Quite a bit, actually. His .285 BA is above average and an asset. However, his .329 OBP is average or slightly below which takes some of his value away.

He has 45 career SBs, 22 of which came this year.Also, he got lucky to get an OBP that high. He's not a .285 hitter, nor is he likely to repeat in the power categories. If you're keeping him, do it because you expect 65-15-70-10-.310, not because you expect him to repeat his career year. And if this is a OBP league, I'd seriously consider throwing back Pence and taking Price.

1 - Keep Pujols and give up my 1st round pick.....not sure what draft order is yet so this could be pretty good value if I end up picking 10th. Uber-elite power/BA numbers are hard to come by.

2 - Keep J Upton and give up my 5th rounder....I see ADP's with Upton in the 1st so this would be really good value. And I would keep my 1st round pick.

Agreed. I think Upton has to be the choice here.

Depends to me on whether he can keep Upton in perpetuity as a 5th rounder. If there is some escalation from year to year I think its alot closer.

I admit, I have a decent sized man-crush on Hosmer. I'm also kinda down on Holliday. Seems lately that he's always dinged and I think his production is sure to take a hit sans Pujols. The fact that I'm already keeping an OF is factoring in as well. There aren't going to be many stud 1B's to draft by the looks of things.

I'm leaning Korky over Young. Young is very well rounded but the only guys left in the draft that have a realistic shot at 30 bombs are Pujols, Prince, Reynolds and Beltre. I guess what I'm saying is there is a premium on power.

I'll be spending more then 8 teams by my projections but nobody has my tallent and I'm not forced to get into any bidding wars. That in it's self makes spending the money pre drat worth it IMHO.

Yah, but keeper decisions always have 2 dimensions.1: What players are going to perform the best?2: What would I have to give up to get back the players I release?I haven't thought too hard on how your settings jimmy with rankings, but my guess is that even if you think Hosmer is a better bet for this year, you could get him back 2 or more rounds after you could get Holliday. So your re-acquisition price is lower. If nothing else, you can always flip Holliday to someone else who is a believer once the draft is done.FWIW, I think 1b is pretty deep this year. You're only going 20 down versus 50 OFers and Hosmer is much closer to replacement with that than Holliday is.

Holliday is definitely on the decline and since he doesn't run anymore, he'll bore you to tears. For 2012 and beyond I'd go Hosmer.

I was also very impressed with Encarnacion in the second half last season. I like Hudson; I've had him for two years and he's pretty reliable, but none of the gaudy #s that will help win a league.

I've already completely changed my mind. Looking at going with Santos, Betancourt, Beachy, Hudson and Vernon Wells. I still like Nunez, if he has a role that'll get him 450-500 ABs.

I'd go Avila, Espinosa, Hudson, Nova, Santos.
