What are you going to do with all those RBs?

Great job on Kap in the late 10th.

QBs taken thru the current draft slot or 10th round

Draft A: 7 - a, 1 - b, 1 - d

Draft B: 7 - b, 1 - h, 2 - e, 1 - c, 1 - g

Draft C: 9 - c, 2 - a, 1 - b, 3 - h, 1 - f

Four owners in H have moved up for a QB. 2 in e, 1 in d/g/f

The H owners draft Brady, Wilson, Rivers, and Manning.

If you're waiting a on a QB, you may want to look at trading into the H draft because there's potential for some slippage there. With that being a latter draft, there will be less competition to trade into that draft.

Remember this for next year.

Expanding on my earlier point...

Here's the QB breakdown from last year...

A 13/20, 10/13, 7/10

B 13/20, 10/14, 7/11

C 13/20, 10/13, 7/10

F 13/20, 10/12, 7/9

G 13/19, 10/13, 7/10

H 13/20, 10/12, 7/8

What you are looking at for draft A is 20 QBs selected prior to round 13, 13 QBs selected prior to round 10, and 7 QBs selected prior to round 7.

You'll note that two less QBs were selected in draft H prior to round 7 than in drafts A/B/C. Last year draft F was active in moving to an earlier draft to select a QB. You'll see the impact in the draft F numbers. Here are the specifics.

It was recommended that we don't draft a backup QB so I didn't. Otherwise pretty happy with this team. WR is a little week I guess but I have a ton of upside plays there. If one hits I'll be golden

some will probably get injured. It's always so hard to pass on the RB talent available in these drafts. I don't know why every year everybody drafts the same way...the scoring and rules don't really call for this much of an emphasis on WRs IMO. But you have to reach at the position to avoid getting a completely unbalanced roster.

Dang dude…nice job but I don't envy your weekly lineup decisions. You've positioned yourself nicely to package a couple of tier two players for a stud as we get into the season.

Yeah, I kind of hope they leave the rules the same until people figure them out. Last year I completely whiffed on SJax and Gronk in rounds two and three and the talent later in the draft that slide, Murray in the 5th and Gates/Cameron in the 8th/9th was enough top get me into the upper tier. Seems like starting two RBs is a no brainer. Having a third can make sense given the bulk of the season has bye weeks.

13.02 Antonio Gates (10)

17.02 Steven Hauschka (4)

15.02 Denver Broncos (4)

18.11 TBD

Tried various times to move different picks, but never was able to pull anything off. About half way through decided unless something blew me away, I was going to stick with my picks. Figured last year I did a lot of trading in my first year and had a very poor record so lets do it a little different.

Pleased with my team for the most part. Outside of the Bowe selection thought I did alright. Will have some serious issues week 4 with byes but I can over come that.

With my last pick looking for a high upside WR like allen Robinson, Paul Richardson, or Donte Moncrief.

Nice job on the Smitty pick Aaron. Was hoping he'd fall to us. Given how WR happy this league is, nice to find a stater this late.

Ended up with this team:

15.12g to go - likely to take an RB unless a very good WR/TE drops

Finally back in the States - Thanks again to Rene for picking up my later rounds while I was away!

Here is how my team shook out:

QB - Stafford - DET - 5.11

QB - Tannehill - MIA - 13.11

RB - Bush, Reggie - DET 4.08(?)

RB - Jennings, Rashad, NYG - 7.11

RB - Johnson, Chris - NYJ - 8.02

RB - Brown, Bryce - BUF - 17.11

WR - Jones, Julio - ATL - 1.10 (trade)

WR - Jeffrey, Alshon - CHI - 2.02

WR - Fitzgerald, Larry - ARI - 3.11

WR - Sanders, Emmanuel - DEN - 6.02

WR - Benjamin, Kelvin - CHA - 9.02

WR - Amendola, Danny - NEP - 10.02

WR - Williams, Mike - BUF - 15.11

WR - Streater, Rod - OAK - 18.02

TE - Bennett, Martellus - CHI - 9.11

TE - Eifert, Tyler - CIN - 12.02

DEF - Cincinnati Bengals - 14.02

K - Gostkowski, Stephen - NEP - 16.02

Trades:

Because I knew I would be away, I was very hesitant to trade. I made two - One was an intra team trade swapping Brandon Marshall for Julio Jones. I already had Jeffrey and then got Bennett, and it was just too many eggs in one basket. The second trade at first looked awful, but now I am intrigued. I was on the clock in the fourth round of B with Lynch still on the board. He was just beginning his holdout, and add the fact he does not catch the ball much, with age and now a pending hold out, I moved back about 8 picks in another draft in the fourth and added a 9th for my 11th. Well, what I did not realize is that there was going to be a run of RBs in the fourth...I was OTC, could not find a good buyer (again, people wanted to trade G and H picks and I knew I would be away), so I reached for Reggie Bush. Basically, I traded Lynch for Bush...yuck! But then, as I got on the board for that 9th, I decided I was going to pick BPA, and there was Kelvin Benjamin. Not only has he been on the rise, but now I have FIVE solid WRs in this format. I am much more excited about this trade than I was a day after I made it (when Lynch came back to practice).

Overall, I chose to load up on WR and QB talent. While I agree WR is important, it is all about how you choose you want to make you team. I chose to go WR strong, and I will live and die by that. I went early on QB (again could not trade into later rounds), and last year ended up needing QB help after I took Vick and Cutler...I lost games without a good QB, and did not want that to happen again (WW after Foles and McCown was weak). RB will likely be an issue, but if I can just get one, I will be able to trot out a nice line up each week.

Duck,

This is a very nice team...somewhat reminiscent of mine, but I don't have a "Gronk" at TE...I really do not see a weakness (maybe RB3 if Michael does not get an oppy this year).

It would likely take me either Sanders or Benjamin to get Bell...not sure that I would want to peel away that WR depth, but maybe I am overvaluing those guys?

Bell is worth more to you because you have depth and Bush :brush:

If either gets hurt, you now have a round 1/2 caliber back in your lineup and your great depth replaces the injured guy. If you had both, your team actually gets better with an injury.

RB Forte (1.04), L.Bell (3.04), Spiller (6.09), C.Johnson (9.04), Michael (17.04)

WR Cobb (2.09), Wallace (4.09), Edelman (5.04), Boldin (8.09), Austin (11.04), S.Smith (12.09), Woods (14.09)

TE Rudolph (7.04)

PK Tucker (16.09)

DEF 49ers (15.04)
one pick left. I like this squad.

Rosters are fully loaded on the main site. It looks like everyone got at least one PK and one DEF

I like most of our rosters. Here's my final team:

Foles, Nick PHI 7

Blue, Alfred HOU 10

Foster, Arian HOU 10

Ingram, Mark NOS 6

Jackson, Steven ATL 9

Miller, Lamar MIA 5

West, Terrance CLE 4

Bowe, Dwayne KCC 6

Cooks, Brandin NOS 6

Harvin, Percy SEA 4

Thomas, Demaryius DEN 4

Wallace, Mike MIA 5

Wheaton, Markus PIT 12

Woods, Robert BUF 9

Ertz, Zach PHI 7

Witten, Jason DAL 11

Hauschka, Steven SEA 4

Panthers, Carolina CAR Def

Set my lineup! Recommend you do the same.

Likely will tweak it (Terrance Williams vs Hakeem Nicks?) :construction:

This also is a good time to bring back up the buddy system. I find that late in the season, when I will have big :moneybag: on the elsewhere, places to go and people to please, I might not be as dedicated.

I have been known to not set a lineup! :missing:

That shouldn't happen this year. :bag:

ETA: Ref, do you still have my back?

We'll definitely need some folks watching each others backs this year. Unlike year's past, I work nights now and won't have the time/energy to double check lineups on Sunday morning when I'll be working at least every other Saturday night.

Did I see want to move your second Bro1ncos?

How about my 1.07f and 4.6f for your 1.02a and 6.11a?
Thanks for the password. That worked fine.

After thinking about it. I want to see how these early drafts start before moving my 1.02. May just get my guy then use other trades to build around him.
Nevermind

Luck, Andrew IND QB
Johnson, Chris NYJ RB
Lynch, Marshawn SEA RB
Cobb, Randall GBP WR
Harvin, Percy SEA WR
Welker, Wes DEN WR
Gronkowski, Rob NEP TE
Bryant, Matt ATL PK
Seahawks, Seattle SEA Def

Week 1 - Let's rock

tough lineup decision here is Pierce v. CJ2k

I'd likely swap out Welker for week 1.

I'm all for buddying up with someone. Sometimes my Sunday mornings can be crazy.

Ok, I got in. That's just weird. I tried it over and over and couldn't. I even copied/pasted it and it didn't go. But now i'm in, so i'm good...

Now I need to figure who to start... I've submitted one, but a few options I like. Wish I could start 3 RBs, as I want to get Rashad Jennings in there.

Option to be able to start 3 RB's would be such a great thing for this league......not sure why it wasn't approved for this year....

With the nfl being such a passing league now it would have been a great way to really help challenge the skill of the board members from each board....

Was heavily discussed among commissioners. There were several boards that were very unhappy about the possibility of changing such an important rule just 2 weeks before the drafts as they felt it would impact their cohesive team draft strategies. It was actually fairly heated at one point. Talks of rule changes were tables until after the drafts with no changes approved for this year- I wasn't real happy about that.

Expect both flexes next year to apply to all three positions (currently, no more than 1 RB or 1 TE can be flexed, but 2 WRs can be)
